"She says she is, and she doesn't appear to be in any pain. But seriously, her eyes... I've never seen anything quite so... well gross and creepy would be the bluntest way to put it."

 

whats up with her eyes?"

 

"I'm not too sure, it's really hard to describe."

 

he bit his lip"think shes upstairs or somthing?"

 

"I don't know. But she's fine other then her eyes and some cuts and blisters around her face."

 

he winced"her face?"

 

"Yeah." Lake nodded. "They were still bleeding and everything when she appeared, but she seems fine now. And she's refusing to say what caused it."

 

"do you think shes ill?"

 

Wolfe looked at the girl on the stairs, her mind not registering who it was. "What's up with your face, kid?"

 

"Considering I'm most likely a great deal older then you don't call me kid." Jamei sighed. "I may look quite young but I'm around twenty-five. And as for what happened to my face is something I don't intend to share. Just leave it at an 'incident'."

"I don't think so, seems like a one off accident or something really. If she was ill she'd have symptoms and stuff."

 

"yeah...your right."

 

"I'm twenty-six, so don't get all sassy with me." Wolfe raised an eyebrow, sighing. she shook her head and looked to the floor again.

 

"Surprising to actually meet someone who's not Cory or not three or four years younger then me." Jamei smirked. "Besides, it's not like I can see you to be able to tell what you look like and therefore your age. Just your voice, and you sound younger then you are, evidently."

"She's had worse injuries from what I've heard."

 

"yeah,she has....alot worse."he said

 

"You can't see..?" Wolfe winced, shaking her head slightly. "Sorry." she mumbled, her ears zoning in what Mickey and lake were talking about.

 

"Completely blind, I have been for coming up to ten years now I think. I got rather hyper at a party, tried to climb a tree and fell out again. The impact on the ground disconnected all my retinas." Jamei explained. "Though without the blindness I wouldn't be who I am now and I wouldn't of been of much help in recent events. So I'm not complaining."

Lake nodded. "You think we should go back inside?"

 

"yeah,havent seen my parents yet...might go bug my mum...oh wait! is cory still here? i could bug him!"

 

Wolfe looked down. "I suppose so." she mumbled. "I've always wondere dwhat it would like to be blind."

 

"Dark mainly." Jamei giggled slightly. "It's both a blessing and a curse. You're better off being able to see though."

"I think he is." Lake nodded. "You gonna go bug him then?"

 

"Oh yeah...comin' with me?"
