Lyra was in the kitchen,she had her work uniform on,her shoulder length red hair was tied up

Mickey was still crashed out on the couch,his face hidden by two cusions,as if he were trying to suffocate himself

Lake wandered into the room, once again yanking her huge paddle brush through her thick, curly hair. The engagement-ring glistening on her ring finger. She was dressed in her usual pastel colours, only today she was wearing white jeans and a off-the-shoulder chiffon blouse in a pale shade of blue.

 

"Mornning Lake."Lyra said

 

"Good morning." Lake smiled. "You alright?"

 

she nodded"just making breakfast and cleanning before i go to work...are you ok?"she asked

"I'm great." Lake grinned, the smile had barely faded from her face since the previous night when Mickey had, after god knows how many years, finally proposed.

 

Wolfe staggered down the stairs, muttering random curses with every step she took. she had a hangover, but nothing too big. "hello..." she croaked. "what happened last night!?" she looked at Mickey on the couch. "oh yeah...." she smiled weakly.

 

"ooh that was a big smile there Lake...."she joked"what happened last night?"

 

she made a face. "why did you have to ask that?" she shuffled to the refrigerator. "got any orange juice, Lyra?"

"if Sir Boozes alot didnt drink it all when he came home last night then yes we will..."

 

"Well, I think it's safe to say you can be expecting another in-law." Lake giggled in a sing-song voice. Showing Lyra her hand and the ring that was placed on her delicate finger.

 

"oh my god!"she said"this is wounderful! i was wondering if he was ever going to ask!"

 

"I know!" Lake squealed happily.

 

she beamed

 

she grinned, opening the frdge door to see no orange juice left. she growled lowly and looked at Mickey on the sofa. "I like my fresh orange on the morning..."

 

"did he drink it all?"she asked

 

"Evidently so." Casey said from over the top of his morning paper, of which he only ever read the comic section. He too had gone in look of juice that morning only to find it gone, so he'd settled with a glass of apple juice instead and had spent a good half an hour commenting on how it looked like pee in a cup. "And it also appears he owes me some money too now..."

 

"amazing you can remeber a bet you two made when he was fifteen,but you can forget other things..."Lyra said going to wake Mickey up"Mickey,get up now you get big walking rug..."she tugged a cusion away from him

"Nuuu!"he snatched it back covering his face again,muttering something like 'its too bright....my eyes burn...'

""you sure you want to marry this big lug?"she asked smiling

 

"I don't forget that much! Not like I've ever forgotten a birthday or an anniversary or anything else of importance." Casey whined, setting his newspaper down in front of him.

"I'm sure." Lake giggled as she sat down next to Mickey's head. "Oi, wake up sleepy-butt." She said as she turned to Mickey, poking him gently on the back.
