But yeah, I do find this one interesting because it is hard to trace where it originated. The two most likey origin theories I can find are misconceptions off of two statements. First, that neurologists had only mapped 10% of the human brain at that time. Or that Neurons only take up 10% of gray matter. I haven't been able to confirm that the second one is, or ever was considered to be, true.

hate to brake it to you but the link is just a bunch of bull
it has been scientifically proven that you only do only use 10% of brain
HOWEVER the other 90% aren't dead they are used for your subconciensse and storing memory/information
so technically all of it has a function but you only actually USE 10% of it

 

Research report please? (since it is scientifically proven you should be able to find one)

If you read his link it says that the conscious/subconscious split is a variation of the myth. I use snopes quite a bit myself and they do their research well, I've yet to find one where they are wrong.

 

I'd say it's more of a 50/50 split.

 

Personally, I don't think it matters. It won't impact on anything as far as I can tell, and even if it did, I wouldn't really give two tosses, let alone one.

 

I can't figure this out, the answer is in the other 90% of my brain I apparently don't use.
