Bella kept snapping her fingers as more lightning bolts crashed around the alter.

 

Kako had finally awoke from her slumber. Her head hurt terribly and she found herself on a dirt ground. She looked around and coughed, feeling a brush of air push her off the ground. She almost landed hard on the ground, but her scream had made another brush of air make the impact soft. Her eyes focused around, her breathing soft. She felt a gentle wind approach.
"Wha?" she asked herself. She stood up and started running away from the site

 

Kio looks at the group and jumps in front of the doorway to keep everyone in. "Everyone, stay here for the time being. You, with the lightning, quite before you electrocute someone." He says, glancing at Bella.

 

"Fine. Just ruin my fun" she grumbled the last part and crossed her arms.

 

As he watched them display their powers he decided to reveal himself. He clapped slowly, once....twice.....and three times.
"Impressive," he said in his quiet musical voice.
He simply let go of the ledge and stepped off the ledge. He landed some ten feet down on the ground without a sound, the truth was he softened the earth right before he hit but the effect was not visible. His hood was up and his mask was on so he figured that he must look quite.....strange to say the least.

 

Reiji walks over by Bella, saying nothing..

 

Bella looked at Reiji "What? It's quite amusing".

 

"So you control lightning," Dmitri said, in am amused sort of way. He nonchalantly let his arms hang at his sides, also quietly observing the others. One girl had tried to run and he saw another unfamiliar boy stop her.
"You all have powers......so do I. I can help you with them. Help you learn and grow your powers until you will be as great as the guardians themselves."

 

Reiji looks over at Dmitri "power?" He says finddling with fingers.

 

Bella leaned against a wall and yawned "Mmm-hmm".

 

Kio eyes Dmitri carefully. "What do you mean, be as powerful as the Guardians themselves?"

 

Dmitri shrugged.
"Well lets see if I can explain this. The flames you saw, they were the source of the powers you all now posses. When you came into the shrine, the fires, picked you to be the next holders. I'm not sure what they saw in you but it must be pretty good whatever it is. Those fires are in you now, your hearts."
He absentmindedly picked up some pebbles and began twirling them with his fingers.

OOC: here is Dmitri's mask(he wears it all the time) :

 

Kako had came upon them, hidden by a few tree's. The wind helped her stop her running and lightened her footsteps. She was thinking either the wind was helping her, or just mere coincidence. She climbed up the tree, hiding in the thick leaves. She was afraid of them at the moment. Everything made her scared. The hooded figure seemed to scare her the most. She was thinking of running for it when she got caught spying on them. She was curious

 

Dmitri sighed and turned to look up at the tree that Kako was hiding in.
"It doesn't matter how quiet you are twinkle toes. I can feel where people are by the vibrations of the earth. Since the tree is connected to the earth I know you are up there."

"Baaah," she said in a nervous voice that was strangely annoying. A cool sweat ran down her face and she jumped down from the tree, to already started running from the site. She might as well no bother with them... He scared her too much.

 

Bella looked up at Kako "Don't worry. If he does anything, I'll zap him to next week" she grinned.

Dmitri watched as Kako jumped off the tree and landed on the ground.
"I didn't know you were fluent in sheep. Excuse me."
Dmitri turned to the rather frightening girl who had threatened to zap him.
"Physically, what you just said is impossible but somehow the threat still holds," he said quietly.

 

Kako hadn't even gotten 10 feet when the wind drifted the words to her. She turned around and started at him, the wind picking up speed, adjusting her stance.
"What did you say?" she asked, in a curious way. She knew but she couldn't believe it. No... he wasn't intimidating her... He wasn't scaring her... He was somehow controlling her. He may not even be aware, but in her mind he seemed to link to her, like she had something in common. The wind brushed up against her, making her fall forward but the second brush of wind caught her again in midair. She was on her hands and knees, breathing swiftly. For each inhale the wind pushed forward. For every exhale, the wind pushed back.

 

Bella smiled with satisfaction "Why are you wearing that mask anyway?" she asked Dmitri and scratched the back of her head.

 

"Well....I'd say we know what YOUR power is now. Breath softer, slowly...calmly. Breath like your asleep for now."
He turned full around to face her. His eyes, which were the only visible part of his face, held interest. They were a shocking blue but not in a harsh way. They contrasted wit his pupils to make a strange appearance in general.
He turned his head and replied to Bella over his shoulder.
"Why AREN'T you wearing one?"
