Wonder if I'll buy this. I think the only reason I would is because I'd still want to beat the game. Xll wasn't really my favorite Final Fantasy, just because the main characters felt more like they were pulled along as side characters than the actual "main character". It's nice seeing it in revamped graphics though.
played it on the ps2, but why of all the final fantasy games this one? It was pretty good but I dont know why not FF8?
My guess would be the system it's originally on. PS1 games get remade/rereleased PS2 games get remastered. I don't know much about the video game industry, tbh, but a remastered PS2 game can pass for a visually inferior (though slightly?) PS3/PS4 game, but a PS1 game would have to be remade entirely.
Hey, in that case, I'm all for a remade version of FFVIII. A lot of people may hate on it, but it was my first Final Fantasy, and I actually like it. In fact, I'm pretty sure the gunblade was one of the first swords I really wanted. I still debate on getting this though. I mean, I don't hate the game, I just always had a problem with the combat and how it seemed so slow. Or maybe I just sucked
Pretty much this: Also, since X/X-2 already got their turn, XII was next. And you're asking about FF8... it took nearly a decade to finally convince Square-Enix to make a remake of FF7. So unless I start seeing a large number of people continue to ask Square-Enix for a FF8 remake for the next couple of years, I can't see it happening.
