"It was Sephiroth. He tried to use Meteor to almost destroy the planet so he could get stronger."

 

"you mean the same guy that is standing over there" Gilgamesh said pointing towards Sephiroth

 

"Yes!" Tifa grasped the White Materia in her hands. "He..... killed many people. My father, Aerith....." She started to cry after saying Aerith's name.

 

"Exactly." he said. "But I killed him and we used Holy to try and destroy Meteor, but we were too late. That's when the planet stepped in and used the Lifestream to destroy Meteor. The only thing Meteor destroyed was Midgar. We are now standing in the ruins of Midgar."

 

Tifa ran off to the remains to Sector 7, tears streaming down her face.

 

"I see and judging by your reaction to seeing Sephy boy here you don't know how he came back right?" Gilgamesh said

 

"Tifa wait!" he said, chasing after her.

 

Tifa stopped in front of the destroyed pile that was once Seventh Heaven, she fell to her knees and cried, memories came flooding back to her.

 

Cloud stopped behind her and kneeled down. He put his hands on her shoulders to comfort her.

 

Tifa felt Cloud's hands on her shoulders, and she quieted, weeping her tears. "It's hard to believe this place was once a city that people dwelled in, huh?"

 

"Yeah. I still can't believe that Shinra released the plate to try and destroy AVALANCHE." he said.

 

The dying words of Jessie, Biggs, and Wedge came in her mind. "They were after Aerith and got what they wanted, ignoring the lives of the people they killed."

 

"Yeah. They were heartless. But hey, they aren't like that anymore. We should put the past behind us. We can't change what happened." he said. "No matter how much we want to."

 

Tifa stared at the White Materia in her hand. "Yeah......." She pulled a chain out and made a necklace with the materia, putting around her neck.

 

"Good idea." he said. "Keep it close and don't lose it."

 

"Cloud, remember when we used in AVALANCHE, how you and Barret would argue during missions?"

 

"Yeah." he said. "It took awile for us to get along. Back then I really didn't care about anything. I just wanted to get paid."

 

Gilgamesh leaned against a wall and waited for them

 

Tifa was going to say something, when she felt something, a familiar feeling of a simple flower girl.

 

Cloud could feel it too. It brought back memories.
