The figure continued to slash at Tidus.

 

Tidus began to back away blocking the blows

 

Yuri looked at Eiko who obivously didn't know about Vivi and Jecht's relationship.

"I'm not so sure, Tidus's strength seemed almost...unatural and dark." He noted as he looked at Zidane who walked off the platform and jumped back as a Dracozombie landed in front of the group.

 

The figure slashed Tidus again and Jecht attacked him.

Yuna attacked it first, then Paine attacked it.

 

Tidus pushed away the figure and blocked Jecht damn Im losing power Tidus thought to himself

 

The Dracozombie stepped back and slashed with it's claw at the two girls and then spewed out poisonous breath at the group.

"That's bad!" Zidane yelled out.

 

Yuna changed to White Mage and used Esuna on the others before casting Life on the Dracozombie.

Jecht and the figure attacked together.

 

The Dracozombie fell and turned to Mist as Zidane looked around. "Is it moving...? Just my imagination. So much for Kuja. None of his lackeys are here, either. Or maybe we have to go down there? I definitely sense something down there." He noted and Yuri felt something. "A huge presence from above!? He thought to himself.

"From above!" Yuri called out and got away as teh wall startign shaking faster and then...a creature appeared.

"So, it wasn't Kuja." The Soulcage spoke within their minds.

 

Yuna gasped, hearing the voice. Eiko shouted, "What about Kuja?"

 

"Or more to the point, where is he!?" Zidane shouted as well as the Soulcage stood there. "I do not know." It replied within their minds.

"Then what are you doing here, are you the one who creates the Mist?" Yuri asked aloud as the Soulcage stared at them. "It is not produced... Mist is a by-product of the refining process. It is discharged through the roots." It said.

 

"Discharged?" Lenne looked up at Soulcage.

 

"So it's sent to the other continents through the roots but why?" Yuri asked as well as the Soulcage spoke again.

"I contaminate the other continents with Mist to stimulate the fighting instinct. This, in turn, leads to war among the leaders of nations, and then to the fall of civilization. Kuja merely puts the by-product to a different use." He answered.

 

"The black mages!" Yuna looked toward Vivi.

 

"Kuja called them black mages, dark spawn of the Mist.
Soulcage spoke as it stared at Vivi.

"So that factory at Dali..." Yuri trailed off and Soulcage spoke once again. "Defeat me, and no more Mist will flow. And then no more weapons like this puppet here will be made. Answer me, puppet. Do you deny your very birth?" It asked Vivi.

 

Vivi shook its head, thinking about Jecht.

 

Tidus got knocked back while blocking

 

Zidane held hsi doubel edged saber. "Then let's bust him up, Kuja may show up if we defeat him." Zidane said as Yuri took out his daggers.

"Then let's not stall any longer, I'm sure Jecht and the others will want to see us." He responded.

 

The figure slashed at him again.

 

"no the power is gone" Tidus said as the sword cut threw Tidus's armour and cut his body. Tidus's hair turned back normal

 

Jecht caught him before he fell to the ground, he turned to the figure, but it disappeared.
