Final Fantasy IX/X-2: Melodies of the Gullwings

The priest finished and Dagger and Zidane stepped down. Yuna led Tidus to the altar. Auron watched, 'At least, this will be a better wedding than her marriage to Seymour.'

 

Tidus looked around the area and walked with Yuna. He then looked down at Yuna

 

Yuna smiled and the priest started to mumble again.

 

"Seymour, I suppose you mean that guy we saw at the Red Rose and at Alexandria, just looking at the guy just gives me a bad aura around him and from what Tidus said about him, he was someone who lost his sanity." Yuri said as he watched the ceremony when Zidane and Dagger returned.

"But marriage with Yuna and Seymour? That's a couple I don't want to see..." he thought as he soon saw something flash within his mind as he found himself on a boat on the ocean as he turned around and saw the Younger Yuna again but with some passengers talking about her.

"Word is that summoner's got noble blood!" One said as another spoke. "I hear she's Lord Braska's daughter!" as the scene had fast fowarded and Yuri found Younger Yuna with Tidus at the helm.

"The wind...it's nice." she said and after a few seconds, the two had laughed. "You're a blitzball player, aren't you? From Zanarkand, right?" she had asked him as Tidus looked at her.

"You hear that from Wakka? Wakka doesn't believe me at all." he stated and Younger Yuna shook her head. "But I believe you! I've heard, in Zanarkand...there is a great stadium, all lit up even at night!" she said as Tidus stared at her, puzzled.

"How do you know that?" He asked and Yuna stared at him. "A man named Jecht told me. He was my father's guardian." as Tidus mubled the word Jecht and stared out to the sea.

"My father...his name was Jecht!" he said and Yuna gasped and was surpised. "Amazing! You know, our meeting like this must be the blessing of Yevon!" She said happily and Tidus shook his head.

"Sounds like him, but it can't be him." He said as Yuna looked at him. "Why not?" she asked him as Tidus spoke.

"My old man, he died. Ten years ago, off the coast of Zanarkand." He said and Yuna had gasped and her facial expression was sad. "I'm sorry."

"He went out to sea for training one day...and never came back. And no one's seen him since then." Tidus said calmly as Yuna had thought for a few minutes. "Why, that's the day that Jecht came to Spira. It's true! I first met Jecht ten years and three months ago! I remember, that was the day my father left. The date fits, doesn't it?" she asked him.

Tidus was surprised but shook it off. "Yeah, but how would he get here?" He asked her and Yuna had smiled. "You are here, are you not?" she said as she stared at him but then the ship rocked as a boat rocked and Yuna had grasped onto Tidus's hand only to slip ut of his grasp and managed to catch a ahold of the harpoon gun as Kimhari saved her and a passenger yelled out one word.

"Sin!"

Yuri did not see anymore he was brought back to reality and he shook his head a bit and turned his neck a bit. Yuna's noble blood? Nah, that can't be right...but why did I see it?" He thought to himself.

 

Yuna and Tidus left the alter and Lenne led Shuyin next. Auron looked toward Anns, "Excuse me for a moment. I need to speak with Yuri." He walked to a empty area.

 

"well that was fun" Tidus said to Yuna with a smile

 

Yuri looked at Auron and looked at him. "What could he want? I'll be back soon Rikku so let the others get married." he said blushing a bit and followed Auron.

 

Yuna nodded and smiled.

Auron looked at Yuri, "I didn't want to tell Yuna about this. When Dagger, Lenne, Tidus, and I went to Alexandria, Seymour tried to give Tidus his memory back, but something else happened. I feel you're seeing Yuna's pilgrimage."

 

Yuri was a bit surprised and looked at him. "But I didn't get any images until the dress-sphere incident and I wasn't even close to you guys during your trip back to Alexandria." he pointed out and thought about it until he noticed something.

"Wait, how do you even know I was having those images, then again, you did know more you said."

 

Tidus sighed "its times like this that I wish I got my memory back" Tidus said

 

"Yes, you should ask Yuna about her story of the pilgrimage." Auron said as he walked with Anns to the alter.

 

Yuri watched Auron leave. "It's true seeing her pilgrimage without permission is rude but it's not my fault, they are somehow forcefully appearing." he thought he walked out and stood beside Rikku.

"Say Rikku, are...dress-spheres dangerous at all?" he asked her.

 

"I can't say for sure, sometimes the emotions of the person recorded in the sphere are passed to the user, that's what can happen while using the Garment Grid."

 

"Isn't that risky?" he asked her and thought to himself. "Emotions? But I'm not experiencing that...instead it's memories...I must be seeing Yuna's pilgrimage from her point of view but why me?" he concluded to himself

 

"No one really knows. There was a mission where Yuna felt Lenne's happiness." Rikku sighed as she watched Braska and Lani.

 

"I guess, there are things which can't be explained." he concluded as he watched them

 

Rikku nodded as she led Yuri to the priest.

Near the exit of the village was a six-year-old girl with a horn similar to Braska, Yuna, and Lenne. She hid with a moogle behind the stand and quickly grabbed food then ran off.

 

Zidane heard words of thief as the watchman twins were bypassed by teh thief and didn't contiue on. "What happened?" he asked "Does anyone live out here?" and teh twins just shook their head as Zidane waited for the others.

Yuri stoof beside Rikku as the priest mubled about the holy rites and wheveer else that needed to be done. "So if we pass here anytime, me and Rikku are recongized as husband and wife...hooboy, it's making me nervous.

 

Rikku smiled and joined her cousin afterwards. Jecht and Vivi walked up with Qunia.

The young girl thought she had seen her sister joined with someone and continued to run.

 

Zidane looked at the group. "Well, since we can press on, let's go and see what lies ahead." he said as Yuri nodded.
