"If there's a way back to Spira, I can't wait to show you everything." Rikku blushed and smiled. Dagger walked up to her. "Rikku, we'll be staying the night tonight."

 

Yuri heard Dagger and somehow, he had a feeling she heard them earlier but decided to keep quiet about it. "Well, iit's a good time to rest ever since we kept walking non-stop." He said.

 

Rikku nodded and headed for the inn. Lenne paid for the stay at the night. Dagger laid on the top buck and looked out the window.

Jecht was still on the roof of the inn, thinking of Vivi.

 

Tidus just kept on watching the graveyard thinking about his mother

 

Yuna turned to leave and turned to Tidus. "Lets get some rest. We're heading to Lenne's village tomorrow."

 

Tidus sighed and then smiled "alright then lets go" Tidus said

 

Yuna smiled, and took his hand. She ran to the inn.

 

Yuri followed Rikku and the middle of the night Zidane felt a presence as he lay in the bottom bunk as Vivi had already left

"...I wouldn't worry too much...He's trying to figure something out for himself." Zidane said to the quiet Dagger. "Think about it... Vivi's never met black mages like himself before."

 

"I know.... But what about Jecht? He's always been protecting him."

 

Zidane closed his eyes. "Maybe he'll find what he's looking for."

 

"What's that?"

 

"A place to call home." He responded.

 

"And what do you think Jecht is looking for? Someone to protect?

 

"Maybe, he's trying to atone for what he did to his son and if Vivi finds a place where he belongs, does he have the right to stop Vivi's happiness?" He said and breathed. "How about a bedtime story? Let's see... Once upon a time..."

 

"Here you go again, treating me like a child."

 

Tidus walked into the inn with Yuna and looked at her and smiled "a good ace needs to get their sleep" Tidus said

 

Yuna nodded and laid down, falling asleep.

 

Zidane continued. "Once upon a time... ...there was a man. There was a man who didn't know where he came from...This man had longed to find his birthplace ever since he was a small child. His birthplace. A place he only remembered in his dreams..."

 

Dagger calmly listened to his story.

 

"He wanted to know more about himself, maybe. About his parents, the house where he was born... One day, the man left the home of his adoptive father and went on a quest to find the answer. His only clue was the blue light he saw in his dreams..."
