"Dont worry. I'll take down Kuja no sweat and make him pay" Tidus said with a smile. Tidus seemed to change back to his normal self

 

Zidane looked at Dagger who was still worried as he guessed it was about Rusty and the others.

"They'll be fine. The best dragon knight of Burmecia, the female general of Alexandria, and Rusty... How could they lose? Besides, you have me to protect you!" Zidane looked at Cid. "Mind lending us the fastest airship in Lindblum?"

Regent Cid shook his head at the group. "Airships can only fly where there is Mist, and the Mist only exists on this continent. That means you can't cross the ocean on an airship." as Zidane thought for a minute. "What about that new one which flies without Mist?"

"It's not ready yet. Besides, it's under Brahne's control. Brahne gave us two conditions for our surrender. One was the surrender of the new airship. The other was the hand over the Falcon Claw." He said as Zidane was left wodnering. "the airship I can understand but what does she want with a piece of stone?" as Cid was just as clueless as Zidane was. "I have no idea."

Yuri spoke up. "What about a boat then?" He asked as Cid shook his head. "That's not an option, either. The harbor was also seized."

Zidane saw no othe roptions. "What do you want us to do? swim!?" He asked our fo desperation and hoped that would not be the case.

"There is a way. There's an old excavation site near a swamp located north from the castle. Monsters not native to our continent are rumored to appear in the excavation site. The cave, which was found during excavation, is rumored to lead to another continent. If it leads to the Outer Continent, I'm not absoultely sure."

Zidane smiled. "Not knowing is half the fun right?" he asked with a grin as Cid stared at the group. "Please protect Princess Garnet. We'll prepare the
counterattack in the meantime. It's not much, use it to prepare for your journey." Cid said as he gave Dagger some gil.

Artania stared at the group. "You better pack up some supplies since Lindblum is now considered Alexandrian terrority and you won't coem back for a while, when you are ready, come to the Base Level."

Zidane nodded. "That may be a good idea." as Cid looked at Lenne. "I place everyone in your hands Madam Lenne."

 

Lenne nodded and smiled. Yuna and the Gullwings prepared themselves and Jecht quickly grabbed both his and Vivi's things. Shuyin waited with Lenne at the elevator.

 

Zidane and Dagger walked togetehr to the elevator as Yuri prepared himself with more things to prepare for the journey as the elevator soon starts going down.

"I wonder what Brahne is going to do..." Zidane asked himself aloud.

 

Tidus walked with the others "i can't believe I went to sleep like that all of a sudden. All I remember was us getting out of that forest" Tidus said

 

"I hope everything will be going on the way to my village. I wonder if she's okay....." Lenne sighed.

 

Yuri looked at Lenne. "What's your village like Lenne?" he asked her as teh Base Level Elevator reached it's floor.

 

"There isn't much of it now. Most of the residents are moogles, aside of me and my sister. But it's a great place, I can't wait to show you."

 

Yuri nodded. "I don't know if she was flirting or saying it to everyone else." he thought to himself as Zidane walked off the elevator until they heard a noise.

"What was that!?" Zidane said suddenly as Cid came through trolley tunnel.

"I did it! I stopped a trolley between here and the Serpent's Gate! That'll show them not to fool around in my castle! Now, go. The excavation site is like a maze. Be careful not to get lost. And... Take this with you!" Cid handed Zidane what looked like to be rag.

"It's a rag." Zidane simply said as Cid jumped up and down in his oglop form. "You big dope! It's not just a rag! That's the national treasure of Lindblum! That is an ancient map of the entire world!" as Zidane was amazed. "Wow, thanks!"

Cid looked at everyone. "Please protect Princess Garnet...Don't worry about me. I'm stronger than I look! Now, go! They'll squeeze all the oglop oil out of my body if we're caught!"

Zidane nodded and looked at Dagger. "Right, let's go." Zidane lead the way outside.

 

Lenne bowed at the regent and headed out. Yuna and the others followed her to Qu's Marsh.

 

Zidane looked around and saw a familar face. "Quina! You're safe!" he said as he noticed it.

 

Yuna smiled at Qunia again, "How did you survive Cleyra?"

 

"Long time no see, Much trouble coming back from Cleyra alone." It said to them as Yuri was surprised that Quina escaped. "If Quina escaped, peharps the Burmecians are also safe." he deduced.

 

Lenne smiled and began to search for the ruins.

 

Everyone had soon followed Lenne as Quin joined the group in beliving there may be more food at the Outer Continent.

 

She found the ruins and sighed. Rikku grinned and shouted, "Quina, look! A tasty frog!"

 

Quina saw the frog and ran at ti as it entered teh ruins and Quina broke the chain by justign ramming into it and inside the ruins.

"That's somethign you dont' see everyday..." Yuri said as he sweatdropped.

 

Rikku grinned proudly and followed Quina. Lenne warned the others, "This place is like a maze, be careful."

 

Zidane nodded. "We'll take your word for it, okay everyone, let's go." Zidane said as he followed Rikku and Quina inside as did Yuri.

 

Tidus followed them. His mind was thinking about the eidolons and the attack on Lindblum
