Final Fantasy IX/X-2: Melodies of the Gullwings

Beatrix was keeping her emotions calm and collected. "Your Majesty..." she said as she heard Brahne laugh.

Zidane was shocked. "Dagger!!!" He said in alow toen of voice as Yuri placed a hand on Zidane's shoulder. "Calm down! Fighting them now would be senseless. They still have her in custody." he said as Zidane looked at him.

"So what are you saying!? We should just stand here!? We've gotta get to Alexandria before Brahne! That's the only way! The only question is how..." He said to them, lost on how they could possibly acheive it.

Steiner and Marcus moved once again and manged to hit the cage onto a pathway as the door was removed by the impact as Steiner and Marcus got out.

 

Auron helped Lenne out and got Tidus out.

Vivi got a idea and ran to the teleporter. Jecht and the others followed.

 

Zidane and Yuri followed suit as Zidane looked at Vivi. "Where are you going Vivi?" he asked the black mage who had an idea.

Steiner looked around the area. "Judging by area, the way out is...that way!" Steiner ran towards some stairs as Marcus followed as the somehow found a secret staircase, leading them up as Marcus stopped. "I'm outta here, I'm goin' to Evil Forest to save my bro'" Marcus ran ahead as Steiner watcehd him leave. "You heartless cur!"

 

Tidus ran with them

 

"Know what that soldier said about using these teleports to get to Alexandria?" Vivi started, then Jecht caught on and smiled. "So, we'll use these to get there before Brahne does! You're a genius, Vivi!" Then, one by one, Yuna and the others hopped into the teleporters and went to Alexandria. When she appeared in front of Steiner and the others, she was surprised to see Lenne standing with Auron.

 

Yuri and Zidane followed suit as they appeared in front of Steiner who was surprised.

"You!!! Wh-What are you doing here!?" He said at them and Zidane looked at Steiner. "Steiner! Is this Alexandria!?" he quickly questioend himself and Steiner looked back and responded.

"What!? I have no time for your silly questions! I must escape this wretched dungeon of Alexandria and rescue the princess!"

Zidane looked at the others and nodded. "Enough said, let's go!" as he lead the party and Steiner was confused. "Why is everyone leaving me behind!?" He asked, nto catching what's going on.

"Hurry up, Rusty! Dagger's life is in danger!" Zidane seriously said and Steiner was gettign a little angry. "What are you talking about!? Enough with your nonsense!!!"

 

"Buckethead! Your 'dear' queen is going to execute Dagger as she gets back here! Yuna, how much time do we have?!" Jecht shouted, Yuna tapped some buttons on the side of her googles as something appeared. "28 minutes!"

 

Steiner was surprised. "Is this really true?" and Zidane nodded. "Yeah!!! So let's get going!" Zidane started running as did Steiner and Yuri as Alexandrian Soliders followed them but they were stopped by a gate closing on them as Zidane looked at the man who aided them.

"Marcus? What are you doing here?" He asked and marcus stared back. "goin' to Evil Forest to help Blank." and Zidane nodded. "Good luck! We're gonna go find Dagger!" Marcus nodded and ran otu as did Zidane.

"Where do we start searching for Dagger!? Any ideas?" Zidane asked within the group.

 

Tidus looked at the others "let's just look around" tidus said. He noticed yuna but didn't really care that she was there

 

Paine used Scan to find Dagger. "There's someone underneath the castle." Yuna nodded and ran into the castle.

 

Tidus ran past her and headed to the basement

 

Zidane followed Yuna's directiosn until they were in the Queen's Chamber. "Dead end?" Yuri asked aloud and Zidane looked around.

"This candle looks odd..." he said to hismelf and moved it as a secret passageway opened up. "Bingo." Zidane ran into teh entrance as Yuri and Steiner followed him until the group reached the altar room as dagge rlay on the altar as Zorn and Thorn noticed their new arrivals and walked up to them.

"What are you doing here!?" Zorn asked in surprise and Thorn spoke next. "So meddlesome, you are! Mercy no more!" They took their stances at the group as Yuri quickly unsleathed his sword, preparing himself as did Zidane and Steiner as the two clowns bounced up and down as Thorn gave Zorn meteor power.

 

Yuna protected everyone by casting Magic Guard while Jecht prepared to change.

 

Zidane charged at Zorna dn attacked him, distrupting the magic as the clowns stepped back. "Damn you! We will get you for this!" Zorn aid and Thorn spoke.

"Matters not to us. Finished with Garnet, we are." They boucned up and down. "You are too late!" Both of them said and left through the door as Zidane sleathed his daggers and ran to Dagger as he lifted her up in his arms.

"Dagger, it's me! Dagger!!!" Zidane said worriedly in an attempt to wake her as Steiner gasped. "P-PRINCESS!!! NOOOOO!!! Princess, please forgive me!!! I don't deserve to be a knight! I don't even deserve to live!" but then Yuri looke dat Steiner.

"Stop being a drama queen Steiner, her heart's still beating." Yuri said as Zidane nodded. "Yeah... Let's get out of here. Dagger, you're gonna be alright." He said as he walked to the door to carry her as everyone else followed to the Queen's Chamber as he settled her down on the chair.

 

"At least, we don't have to perform a sending." Lenne knelt by Dagger's side. Yuna nodded, examining her body to find a way to wake up her again.

 

"lets just get out of here now that we have Dagger" Tidus said

 

Zidane bent down in front of Dagger. "If only I had gotten here sooner... I'm sorry..." as Steiner noticed Zidane's tone of voice.

"What happened to you? You are not your usual self. Go on... Blame my incompetence! Tell me it is my fault!" he said as Zidane shook his head. "No! I can't... I...I don't know what I feel right now... I can't even shed a tear..." Steiner was completely slient until Zorn and Thorn returned.

"There they are! There is no escape!" The two spoke as the door opened to reveal Beatrix and Seymour.

 

"Well, this is a surprise." Seymour smiled at Yuna, Rikku, Auron, Lenne, Braska, Jecht, and Tidus. Yuna stepped forward and charged a spell. "I'll take care of Seymour."

OCC: This reminds me of who was originally gonna be X's respective for good and evil. Yuna was gonna the hero while Seymour was gonna be the villain.

 

Tidus looked at Seymour and took out his sword "out of our way" Tidus said. He still didn't know who Seymour was

 

Beatrix stared at Steiner. "Welcome back, Steiner. Where have you been all this time? Don't tell me you have been enjoying the company of these scoundrels." She said without emotiona s Zidane stood up and stared angrily at her. "What the hell!? The only scoundrels around here are you and your fat queen!"

Zidane unsleathed his daggers as Yuri and Steiner unsleathed their weapons as did Beatrix and Zidane charged at Beatrix only for his daggers to clash with her sword as she pushed him away while Steiner attempted a swing as their weapons clashed but she easily put him to the side.

"Fools like you never learn." She said Yuri quickly slashed at Beatrix as their weapons created sparks as she looked at him and saw Yuri's eyes were different as they were red. "What is this?" she asked herself loudly as Yuri was bathed in a light and when it dimmed down, his hair color was completely yellow while his sword was covered in water.

"Let's go." He said seriously as he charged at Beatrix as they exchanged blows as Yuri was seemingly keeping up with her movements.
