Final Fantasy IX/X-2: Melodies of the Gullwings

Yuri was breathing hard as well alogn with ZIdane as the stranger walked in, revealign to be Fratley, Freya's long lost love as he shut the catherdal doors.

"That should give us some protection for now." he said calmly.

 

Freya gasped when she saw it was Fraltey.

 

Zidane looked at Fratley. "Thanks stranger, we didn't get your name." He said and Fratley looked at him. " I am Fratley young man." and Zidane looked from Freya to Fratley. "Then you are Freya's lost love!?" he was surprised as Freya.

Fratley looked at Freya. "Freya, you say? I believe this is the first time we have met..." he said to her.

 

"Fraltey, it's me, Freya! I searched everywhere for you!" Freya shouted, Yuna watched, remembering what happened between her and Tidus.

 

"I'm sorry, but I cannot remember you for the life of me..." Fratley said solemnly and Yuri noticed this was exactly like how Tidus and Yuna acted. "You are like a friend we know Fratley, he has the same case as you."

"I am sorry..." Fratley said.

 

Yuna sighed and Freya simply fell to her knees.

 

The King of Burmecia approached Fratley. "Impossible! Have you forgotten everything that has passed!? Then let me ask you this: What brought you back to Burmecia? Is it not because you learned of the crisis here in Cleyra, whose people are our brothers?" he questioned him and Fratley looked at him.

"As a matter in fact..." he started but Puck suddenly cut in. "As a matter in fact, I'll tell ya! found Fratley during my travels around the world! And you guessed to, he didn't know who I was! Or even who he was! But when Burmecia was attacked and he heard that Cleyra was in danger... His faint memories as a dragon knight called him back here!"

Fratley nodded. "Dragon knight... Yes, I was once called that... But now, that is all I can remember...for now, I must go." He turned to outside and leapt out as Zidane looked at Freya. "Freya, aren't you gonna follow him?" he asked her.

 

"No, I am simply glad knowing he's alright. That's how it was with you, right, Yuna?" Freya looked at her and she nodded.

 

Puck soon ran after Fratley "Uh...well, I'm gonna go after Fratley! Later!" as Puck soon left the area and an oracle screamed and fell abck as somehow Beatrix was in front of the harp.

"Hmph! Pathetic rodents! You fail to grasp the true power of this jewel!" She said proudly as she removed the magic stone placed on it "Now that I have this jewel, I am through with your city!" she ran outside as Zidane quickled followed suit as did the other members of the group.

"Wait!" Zidane called out and they were outside the catherdal. "Think you can get away?" He asked condifently as he unsleathed his daggers as Beatrix laughed. "Get away? Hahaha. You're a bigger fool than I imagined... Have you forgotten how badly I beat you back in Burmecia?"

Yuri drew out his sword. "We haven't, but that doesn't mean we'll accept defeat!" Yuri said calmly as Beatrix drew her sword.

 

Jecht and Braska took out their swords, Rikku readied her sword at Beatrix, Vivi and Paine, who changed to Black Mage, gripped their staves, while Yuna, Squall, and Freya prepared a powerful attack.

 

Beatrix readied her stance. "Then try and stop me." She said as Yuri ran foward and brought his sword to clash with hers as she changed her stance pushed him back before slashed at him in which Yuri brought up hsi sword to defend himself but he he was skidding along the ground as Beatrix's sword was encased in lighting as Zidane clashed his blades with hers.

"Urgh..." Yuri muttered as he watched Beatrix effortlessly pushed Zidane to the side.

 

Yuna began to chant a spell of her Psychic dress as Rikku and Jecht attacked.

 

Beatrix brougth her sword up to defend herself as he looked at the two who attacked her. "Is this your best?" She moved her legs and pushe dteh two back before turning around to slash at them with anotehr Thunder Slash, sending them back a bit as she stared at the others.

"Is this all you have?" She asked them as she simply cut any spells launched at her with little effort and then Yuri charged at her again as he clashed sword with ehr again, puttting his strength into his attack as he pushed Beatrix back a bit. "Not bad at all..." She had another Thunder Slash but it was against yuri sword and she pushed him back as an explosion oocured as the balde unconnected and Yuri crashed into the ground as Zidane leap in teh air as he connected his daggers together as he attempted to attack but Beatrix's reflexes kicked in and she avoided it as Zidane was hit in the back by her foot.

 

Yuna cast Mazer Eye on Beatrix, while Jecht used his Rush move.

 

Beatrix avoided Yuna's Mazer Eye and with her reflexes, blocked Jecht's sword. "You'll meet the same fate as your fellow swordsman." she simply said and the Thudner Slash caused another explosion the same way to Jecht and charged at Rikku with surprising speed before knocked her sword out her hand and stared at her. "You are surprisingly weak for soemoen who wields a sword." He was about to slice down unpon Rikku but as sword came to block her attack as Yuri was standing there, holding not only his sword but Rikku as well as he has them crossed.

"I won't allow you to harm her...." Yuri said with some diffculty as he was breathing a bit quickly as Beatrix looked. "You are determined even after that attack I dealt upon you, what admiration." She jumped back as Yuri had stabbed his sword into the ground to almost support himself while holding Rikku's within his other hand.

 

Yuna prepared to cast Telekinesis as Jecht readied to change himself to the Final Aeon.

 

OOC: just curious did Marcus and the others escape the cage yet?

 

(OCC: We're close to that part.)

 

Beatrix brushed aside her hair. "It's time to leave with the jewel now." She said and brought her sword down using Stock break as everyoen was surely weakened.

"She's t-too powerful..." Zidane said as Beatrix sleathed her sword. "Black mages, our work here is done. Commence withdrawal immediately!" she ordered as Black Mage teleported her out. "Hey! She dissppeared!" She said as Yuri looked at Zidane. "Behind you!"

Zidane turned aroudn as a Black mage cast Teleport upon itself "There! I'm gonna follow 'em! Everyone follow me!" Zidane jumped into the teleporter spell and soon vanished.

Yuri stood up and handed Rikku back her sword as he smiled at her. "I'm going as well!" He anncouced to everyone and leapt into another teleporter spell before he vanished as Quina went down the trunk due to the fact s/he hated heights.

 

Yuna cast Teleportation and everyone else followed in the same style.
