Final Fantasy IX/X-2: Melodies of the Gullwings

Auron led them up the stairs to the gate, surprising the guards to see their captain.

 

Yuri felt himself get sleepy and before he could use something to support himself, he fell backwards asleep as Zidane did as well but Zidane heard Dagger's words before sleep hit him.

The guards looked at Auron. "Captain Auron! What brings you here?" one asked him.

Yuri felt his hand move and he opened his eyes as he stood up, his legs a little wobbly from the sleep.. "Was that some kind of sleeping medicine?" He asked everyone and Zidane got up. "It was sleeping weed."

The Regent looked down on his throne. "We've been had." he said as Zidane looked at everyone. "I gave her some because she said she was having probelms sleeping."

 

"I'm here to oversee the progress of the North Gate, and escort these new workers." Auron told them.

"Hey, where's Auron and Tidus?" Yuna looked around.

 

Tidus sighed as he had his hands behind his head and looked around

 

The guards let them through the gate, Dagger kept still in the bag.

 

"so where exactly are we going?" Tidus said

 

Auron heard Steiner say that they're heading to the kingdom of Alexandria, a proud look on his face.

 

"wow what a nice way of getting there shoving a girl into a bag" Tidus said with a smile

 

Steiner grew mad and Auron explained to Tidus that Dagger was the princess of Alexandria, her getting into the bag was the only way to pass through the gate since he heard from Braska that the queen was looking for her and Steiner.

 

"ohhhh makes sense" Tidus said and then got surprised "wait a princess? wow and why are we headed to Alexandria if she is looking for us?" Tidus said

 

"Dagger needs to talk with her mother about something." Auron headed for the alley.

 

Tidus nodded "alright then then lets hurry up and go" Tidus said

 

Yuri looked around as Yuna was right. "Damn, what the heck is she thinking!? Maybe she's heading to Burmecia."

"Then you might still be able to catch up with her." Regent Cid said to them as Zidane shook Vivi awake. "Vivi, wake up! We're going to Burmecia!"

"You can leave from the Dragon's Gate, located on the Base Level <gwok>." Zidane nodded and looked at everyone. "Let's go!" He ran for the elevator with haste as Yuri quickly followed suit.

The guard came in and didn't hear them talking. "Excuse me Captain, you need this." He handed Auron a Gate Pass. "Good day to you and your workers." He went back to guard the entrance.

 

Vivi woke up and stretched, then everyone followed Zidane and Yuri.

Auron took the pass and set Dagger down.

 

Zidane flipped the switch on the elevator as it went down to Base Level and they walked out of the gate as the Mist begun to get in their vision.

"So, which way now?" Yuri asked Freya.

 

"To get Burmecia, we have to go through Gizamaluke's Grotto, which to the north and through the marsh."

 

Tidus walked with them "hmmm I wonder how the queen looks. I mean she must be pretty good looking to have a daughter like Dagger" Tidus said

 

'Don't get your hopes up, Tidus.' Auron whispered to himself as he untied the knot on the bag.

 

Tidus sighed as he looked up at the sky "I wonder how Yuna is right now" Tidus said

 

"I thought you weren't concerned about her." Auron let Dagger get dressed and joined him.
