Final Fantasy IX/X-2: Melodies of the Gullwings

"So, what brings you here Garnet?" The Regent asked her calmly as Yuri glanced at the newcomer in the room. "He looks like he's been through many battles and has alot of experience.

 

"I need to speak with you about mother."

The man remained silent.

 

"That's what I figured. But I'm sure it can wait 'til tomorrow. Why don't you all get some rest for today?" The regent suggested to them.

 

Yuna nodded and looked at the man as he walked up to the regent. He gently held him on his arm. "Excuse me, regent, but who is this?"

 

The Regent stared at Yuna. "Oh this is the new Captain of the Lindblum Guard andhe is quite a swordmaster as his name is Auron young miss." regent Cid said to her.

 

"Did we hear the regent right?" Rikku seemed surprise, Yuna stared at him. Jecht and Braska smiled at each other, "Long time no see, Captain Auron." Auron just smiled.

 

Yuri, Zidane and Steiner blinked. "Another one your compainions I take it Yuna?" Yuri asked her.

 

"Yes, he was the guardian of my father, then me. I wonder if Jecht, Auron, and Father being here has something to do with the fayth."

 

Zidane, Yuri and Steiner were completely confused as everyone else. and Yuri spoke honestly. "Okay, I know this is going to sound stupid but what's the Fayth?"

 

"The fayth are like spirits on Spira." Yuna seemed surprised Tidus didn't tell about the fayth.

OCC: I'll be back later!

 

OOC: okay Aerith!

Yuri thought about it a minute. "Oh...that's what the Fayth is, all that Tidus told me is the name and not explained it since he said he didn't have quite a good enough answer." Yuri sweatdropped at that point.

"It is time for lunch. Please follow me." The Minister said and started to lea dthe party but Zidane walked away from the group sneakily and soon headed to the town as he stopped by a cafe.

"I can't stand the food at the castle. It's way too high-class for my tastes. How can anyone get full on that stuff? The cheap food here is a lot better. Today's special is... Soup du Silence. Not bad." He walked in.

"Yo Pops, I'll have the stupid special." he said aloud and the chef looked around. "Who said that!? Zidane... I figured it was you." he said as he stared at him. "How've you been?" He asked the chef. Alright, I guess... Have a seat. Your soup'll be ready in a minute."

Zidane noticed a waitress standing by him. "Do you mind? You're standing in everyone's way." And Zidane replied back. "Wow...hey." teh waitress looked at him. "Yeah? Do you want a drink?" she asked him and Zidane shook his head

"How about you and me go for a cruise on an airship?" he asked ehr and teh waitress looked excited. "Really!? An airship!?" and Zidane thought for a minute.

"Sounds like you've never been on one. You know, Lindblum is quite a sight from high above." He said to her.

 

"Move it, monkey boy. You're bugging the other costumers." There was a rat-face woman at the bar.

 

There was a great big crowd outside in Lindblum. They seemed to be surrounding somebody

 

After Yuna and the Gullwings ate, they decided to explore and saw the crowd. Rikku began to get excited. "Yunie, lets see what's going on!"

"Okay......" Yuna looked at Jecht, he shrugged and they entered the crowd.

 

There were a lot of girls screaming in excitement. In the middle of the crowd was Tidus spinning a blitzball on his finger with a smile. Some girls were holding on to him laughing. Tidus laughed "everybody will get a turn to see me in action" Tidus said

 

Rikku's mouth dropped, but Yuna ran deeper into the crowd. She pushed people aside and got to the front, gasping for air. She fell to her knees.

 

Tidus looked at Yuna "another fan of mine?" Tidus said

 

Yuri was surprised and looked at Tidus. "Tidus? Is that you?" he looked at him and pulled on his cheeks

Zidane looked at the person who spoke and replied back. "What the--you've got a tail, too, rat-face!"

 

"oww its me" Tidus said with a smile and then looked at Yuna "is she a friend of yours Yuri?" Tidus said

 

Yuna gasped and looked at him, her bi-colored eyes looking deep in his. "You don't..... recognize me.....?"
