Yuri looked at Steiner. "You know Steiner, you saved us right there." and Steiner was blinking and Yuri continued. "If it had not been for you to get involved, we could of died by that Black Waltz, So I think all of us actually wants to thank you for saving us."

Steiner was surprised and. "Oh forgive me, those words are not worthy of me! Well now I made up my mind! I vow to protect the princess until she returns to the castle!"

Zidane looked at Dagger. "How do you feel about that Dagger? He'll follow you to the ends of the earth."

 

Jecht sighed and held Vivi close.

 

Yuri looked out from the cockpit. "Hey, I can see the gate to Lindblum!" and Steiner looked as well. "That's Lindblum Castle!? How gigantic...!" he was certainly surprised as Zidane looked at dagger. I guess Dagger and I will go our separate ways once we reach Lindblum...Just when we were begining to get close...

Steiner noticed Vivi tremble a bit. "What the probelm Master Vivi?" he asked him.

 

"Were those black mages.... like me?"

 

Steiner looked at Vivi. "Master Vivi, why would those mages be the same as you? And why would it matter if they were...?" and Zidane spoek up next. "Rusty's right!" as Steiner was now confused.

"You're an individual, no matter what happens, Vivi!" Zidane said to him.

 

Vivi nodded and smiled.

 

Zidane smiled at Vivi. "Let's go check out the deck, Vivi! You've gotta see Lindblum from above! It's the best! Look, the Falcon's Gate is right
in front of us!" Zidane ran out to the deck and Yuri whistled. "I been to Lindblum before but never by air."

 

Vivi followed him. Yuna and her child looked around, they had heard about Lindblum, but never been here.

 

Zidane looked ahead and saw teh falcon's gate opening. "So you been here before Yuri?" He asked him and Yuri laughed a bit like a certain man. "Not exactly, I'm saying I've seen Lindblum from afar but I never got the chance to come here because I had to get to the South Gate to get to Alexandria, you know how famous that play is."

 

After Dagger docked the airship, she walked to one of the guards. "I am Princess Garnet Til Alexandros. I wish to speak Regret Cid."

 

A Elite Guard looked at her as if it was a joke. "You must be kidding! No member of the royal family, let alone a princess, would ever ride in such a shabby airship. And look at the company you're keeping!" He said proudly and Steiner wasn't happy.

"How dare you accuse the princess of lying!? The princess was forced to come here under extreme circumstances!" as teh guard sneered at them. "Then show me some kind of proof of your royal heritage."

 

She showed him the Alexandria Nation jewel.

 

The guard soon stopped being proud and looked at it. "This pendant... Is it a Falcon Claw!? ...No. The shape is a little different. Call Minister Artania!" the otehr guard nodded and ran off as Steiner pointed at Zidane again.

"If you weren't such a filthy-looking oaf, they would not be suspicious of us! he said to him Zidane smiled. "Hey, I'm not the idiot with the loud voice, and the dirty, rusty armor."

Steiner was about to shout at him until the Minister came and looked at the guard. "What is going on?" and the guard responded "Sir, we have unknown visitors who wish to see the regent. And one of them is carrying a pendant that looks like a Falcon Claw."

"You are dismissed, I'll take care of this." He said calmly and the guards walked away. "It's good to see you, Princess. Please follow me. The regent is waiting." He started walking and soon arrived at an elevator.

"Lindblum Castle has three levels, all connected by this lift. From the base level, which lies below the Mist, you can take a trolley to the harbor and the
back gate. Ships hardly arrive at the harbor anymore since travel by air has become so popular. The Mist poses great danger, so we've sealed off everything. Just above the Base Level is the Mid Level. You can ride the air cab from the Mid Level to go to town. The Upper Level contains the royal chambers and conference room. Access to that level is restricted, because the regent himself resides there." The minister explained to the group as they got on and started going up.

"Hey Hey, Dagger, what's Regent Cid like? I lived in Lindblum for a while, but I've never met him" Zidane looked at her as he asked her.

 

"I'm not sure. I've been here a few times, but never met him."

 

"Don't worry. We're not leaving until he listens." he said to her a sthe minister spoke up. "We will be arrving at the Upper Level shortly."

The elevator soon stopped and the Minister lead the party into the throne room."Sire, Princess Garnet of Alexandria wishes to see you" he said and Steiner noticed Dagger looking around. "Princess, is something wrong?" He asked her.

 

"It's nothing, Steiner."

 

Yuri looked around and noticed something. "Hey, is the Regent even here? All I see is an empty throne." He pointed out a sthe Throne was indeed empty and a small creature peeked out from behind it was a oglop with a moustache and it spoke. "Greetings!" and the creature slowly appraoched them and Steiner was surprised.

"OG...!!! OGLOP!!!" he shouted otu and he punched the Oglop as it landed on the throne as the minister was concerned. "Sire!!" as the Oglop regained his senses as Steiner was furious.

"What is the meaning of this!? How dare you greet the princess like this!? Get that repulsive bug off the throne immediately, and call the regent" and Minsiter was calmly shouting. "Please, settle down! You ARE before the regent!"

"What? ENough of your nonsense!" Steiner yelled.

 

"I know that mustache. Uncle Cid, is that you?!"

A man with short spiky slightly gray black hair entered the room, a scar passed through his right eye and his left arm was within his coat. He looked at the Minister while Yuna stared at him. There were rumors in Alexandria that the captain of the guard in Lindblum was as strong as the general of Alexandria, she wondered if this was him.

"Is everything okay, Minister?"

 

The Regent nodded "Yes. Greetings, all <gwok>. I am Cid Fabool, Regent of Lindblum. I knew it was you--I recognized your pendant's description; it's so much like my 'Falcon Claw.' I'm delighted to see you again, Garnet. You have truly <gwok> become a fine lady. I, on the other hand..." a steh Misnter continued.

"Allow me to explain. About six months ago, someone snuck into the castle and attacked the regent in his sleep. Unfortunately, we were too late... The regent had been transformed into an oglop, and his wife, Lady Hilda, was abducted."

Zidane put a hand to his chin. "Whoever pulled this off had to be highly skilled, like me." he said and Steiner glared at him. "Hmph! I bet it was you!" and teh regent shook his head.

"That's not possible." He said and Zidane stared at him. "How can you be so sure? Do you know who we are?"

""Of course. I may be a bug <gwok>, but I am still the ruler of Lindblum." eh said clearly.

 

"I'm glad to see you're well, Uncle Cid."
