Final Fantasy IX/X-2: Melodies of the Gullwings

Steiner followed Vivi. "Master Vivi, I shall assist you!" and Zidane was abotu to run out. "Hey you guys!" he slid a moment and bent down to Dagger.

"Dagger, we'll take of the Blazk Waltz, you steer the ship. Thign are gonna get even more dangerous from here on, it's not too late to turn back. You can go back to the castle or cross the Soth gate into Lindblum. it's your choice!" Zidane noticed Dagger's nod and stood up.

"I'll be with you either way! But try not to crash the ship!" Zidane ran out of teh cockpit and heard Dagger tellign him to be careful. "I'll be fine!" as Yuri had unsleathed his sword and stared at the Black Waltz.

 

This time, Vivi, Rikku, Paine, and Braska entered Trance. Vivi looked like a proper black mage, Rikku wore the clothes of the Al Bhed, Paine resembled a master swordsman, and Braska wore his summoner clothes.

 

The Black Waltz's power crackled around him as he cast Thundara rapidly upon the four Tranced people and then quickly cast Fira upon Zidane, Jecht Yuna and Yuri

Zidane rolled across the floor as the Fira spell vanished and Yuri quickly brought his sword, cutting through the Fira attack with a bit of diffcultly as the two Firaballs split and exploded in the air.

 

Vivi cast double Fire and Thunder, Rikku mixed a bio bomb and tossed at the Black Waltz, Paine swung her sword. Yuna changed to her special dressphere, and used Aqua Whirl.

 

The Black was struck with both teh Fire and Thudner attacks with teh bio bomb as he stepped back only to block Paine's sword with his staff as he noticed the Aqua Whirl attack and was about to cast Thundara upon it until he saw someone behind it.

"Shigure Souen Style 3, Yarazu no Ame! (Last Minute Rain)" he annoucned as he dropped his sword and he kicked the sword's hilt with his foot as it went through the Aqua Whirl and stabbed the Black mage in the chest before the Aqua Whirl's attack connected with the Black Waltz who staggered and Yuri firmly grasped his sword pulled it out only to duck as Zidane connected hsi daggers and slahed vertically as the two jumped back.

 

"I only exist to kill!" he repeated that as he flew off. Vivi and Jecht went to the hat that remained on the ship. Yuna returned to normal.

 

Steiner sleathed his sword. "Just how many Blazk Waltzes do we have to fight!? This is ridiculous!" and Zidane looked where BW No.3 left as he placed his daggers back in place. "I think that was the last one."

Zidane looked at him. "He said 'Waltz' right?? Don't you think No.3 would be the last one?" He asked Steiner and looked ahead of the dock. "I can see the South Gate...She's gonna go for it!" Zidane walked back to the cockpit as Yuri sleathed his sword on his back and looked ahead.

 

Yuna looked toward Jecht and Vivi as everyone returned to the cockpit.

 

~Meanwhile, thousands of miles away (okay not a thousand but a few yards away!)~

Zorn and Thorn were in a smaller airship and they spoke in rhyme about what happened until they noticed BW No.3 fly towards them and they jumped off the small airship onyl for BW No.3 to take command of it, muttering "I exist only to kill." and set off after the Cargo Ship.

~In the Cargo Ship Cockpit~

Zidane walked to dagger. "You are heading for the South Gate, I heard it was built exclusively for airships but... manvuering it coudl eb tricky, do you want me to do it Dagger?" he asked her.

 

"No, I'll do it." Dagger continued to steer.

 

"Okay, Captain Dagger!" Zidane said to her.

 

Dagger continued for the South Gate, Black Waltz followed behind.

 

Steiner noticed soemthing and checked and he ran into the cockpit. "Princess! The Black Waltz is following us on a smaller airship, pleas turn around now while we still can!"

Zidane looked as well and looked to Dagger. "He's right, we are gonna have to punch through the South Gate, Rusty, move that lever there up to the highest speed and Dagger, stay on course no matter what!" he said to her.

 

Black Waltz flew ahead, and blew away the black mage hat. Vivi cast a very powerful fire spell and fainted.

 

Zidane gasped and he forced himself up to the bow and grabbed Vivi by his clothing while slowly stepping back and just as the cargo ship past through the gates, he lost balance but held onto Vivi who was over the edge as he used his free hand to hold him on place. nd Yuri had to hold to hold onto the side before seeing Rikku lose her grip from the sudden force of the passing through.

"Damnit!" Rikku was about to go over the edge and he quickly grasped her wrist and held on tightly as Zidane looked and saw the Blaxk Waltz, mencingly casting Thundara but the attack hit the engine.

"He's on fire!" Zidane thought as Black Waltz checked behind and just a sthe cargo ship passing the other gate, the smaller airship exploded into the gate wall as Zidane Sighed and pulled Vivi back on the ship as Yuri did teh same and fallen on his behind.

 

Dagger continued to steer the airship, silence surrounded the cockpit.

 

Zidane bent down to check the ngine. "I think we pushed it a little too hard. Why so silent, people? We made it! Come on, cheer up" He said to them

 

"The South Gate was badly damaged. It was my fault, wasn't it?"

 

Zidane looked at Dagger. "Don't worry about it! They'll fix it up in no time." He said to her and Steiner pointed at him. "You idiot! The cargo ship was wrecked, we lost all the cargo, and South Gate was destroyed! I can't believe I played a part in this debacle!"

 

Yuna sighed, she almost began to cry.
