Final Fantasy IX/X-2: Melodies of the Gullwings

"Yeah I know, trust me!" Zidane tapped his chest and noticed Vivi being nervous. "Vivi, they may look a little like you but they are just dolls." Zidane said to him and the airship's propellers started up suddenly.

"It's moving." Yuri said and Zidane looked up at the airship. "What the heck is Steiner up to?" Zidane looked at Dagger. "All right, we have to get on, Dagger." Dagger was about to speak but ZIdane continued. "I don't have time to explain."

Zidane ran for the ladder and waved his hand. "This way!"

 

Everyone followed him.

 

Zidane nodded at everyone. "Quick get on!" he said as Yuri nodded and climbed up only to soon be followed by Vivi, Yuna, Rikku, Paine, Yuna's child, Braska and Jecht as Dagger was still hesitant as Braska, Paine, Yuna and her child, and Braska entered the airship plaform to give more space.

"Hurry up!" He said to Dagger who shook her head. "You have nothing to worry about, hurry before she takes off! I'll take you Lindblum I promise!" Zidane ran behind Dagger and pushed her on the ladder and just as soon she started to climb, Zidane jumped on and his hand reached for Dagger's behind. "Oooh soft..."

The airship begun to take off as the two climbed up onto the plaform as Zidane had his hand behind his head. "Oh come on, it's not like I did it on purpose."

 

"Enough, please." Dagger said, with a royal tone again.

 

"There's that royal voice in your tone again." Zidane said and Yuri sighed as he walked through the door and Zidane turned to Vivi. "...Are you okay Vivi?"

 

"It feels I'm going to get sucked in."

 

Zidane looked at him. "Well, how about you go inside, I'm sure Jecht is in there." he said to him.

 

Vivi nodded and went inside. Dagger and her guards followed.

 

Zidane watched a sthe door shut in frotn of him. "I get the feeling she doesn't quite trust me yet...Maybe she'll reward me with a kiss or two if I try hard enough." he said under his breath and the door opened as Dagger was looking at him.

"Wow, already!? he thought to himself.

 

"Zidane, it's Vivi!"

Everyone was spread in the engine room, watching Vivi try to speak with one of the black mages.

 

Zidane was surprised. "Wow! They are alive and they're moving around!" he said in shock and thought for a second. "So the mages built in the village bring back the new ones?"

 

Vivi walked back to Zidane, discouraged.

 

Zidane looked at Vivi. "Were you able talk to any of them?" he asked him.

 

"No.... it's like.... they don't hear.... or see me at all."

 

Zidane crossed hsi arms and thoguht for a minute and bent down to Vivi.

"Vivi." he said to him and then rememebered and stood up and looked at Dagger.

"I need to go upstairs for a little bit, I gotta turn the ship around before it reaches the castle." he said to ehr but she was slient and he put a hand to his chin and continued. "Look after Vivi ok?" Dagger had nodded in reply and he ran off to the ladder and climbed up as he opened the hatch, seeing Steiner's form on the ground as the others were there a she got out and heard Steiner mumble to himself

"How could this happen....? What am I to do....? I never expected thinsg to go so badly...I cannot believe the ship took off without the princess! What will I say to Queen Brahne...?"

"What the heck were you doing? You almost took off without us!" he yelled at Steiner. "That is because....This ship's crew...." Steiner stopped spekaing and realised soemthing as he stood up and jumped up and down. "Why, you...! Where is the princess!?" he demaned to Zidane as he spoek back.

"In the engine room."

Steiner was surprised. "She is on the ship!?" and Zidane nodded as Steiner jumped and down (OOC: amazing he hasn't fallen through the floor yet...) "All is well, now. this ship is returning to the castle. You will be hanged for the kidnapping of a member of the royal family! Enjoy your freedom while you can." He said proudly and ran in front of the hatch and Zidane shrugged hsi shoulders as he ran into the cockpit.

"At last! Queen Brahne is sure to be pleased...however the princress woudl fo been left behind without the thief's aid....I shall petition for a life sentence on his behalf. Yes, that would be the honorable thing! But that was because the crew woudln't listen. I must run a background check on them. As yes, it is my duty as a Knight!" He said proudly and the ship suddenly rocked as it turned direction.

 

As the ship turned, a black figure watched from a distance. Everyone else had decided to follow Zidane. Dagger nodded at Vivi and followed the others. The figure flew on the dock, Vivi was shocked.

 

Steiner ran to teh cockpit and was angry at Zidane. "Y-Y-Y and Zidane stopped turning the wheel. "What's wrong? Something stuck in your throat?" he said as he cheekily swung his behind at Steiner. "Y-You insolent fool! Turn the ship around!" he said as he leapt for Zidane who jumepd up and grabbed onto the roof with his hands and STeiner tried again only for Zidane to jump away and hang from his tail.

"I will have your head for that!" He said to him and Zidane#s tail let go of teh rafter and Zidane rubbed his behind. "Hey I think we upset them."

Mutliple black mages surrounded the cockpit and Steinner looked around. "But they didn't respond to anything until now...You're the one who started this trouble!" He pointed at Zidane and looked at the Black Mages. "I apologize. Please wait while I take this fool into custody and turn the ship around."

The black mages turned their attention to the dock and walked towards it as Steiner was confused. "Wh-What's wrong?" he asked one but it didn't reply but continued to walk as the two looked from the cockpit of the recent arrival on the ship, needless to say, they were shocked.

Yuri looked at the new arrival it was certainly a black mage but his presence gave off a bad vibe.

 

"No. 2 was defeated by a small child?" It shook its head. "I'm here for the princess." Just then, the black mages surround Vivi while Dagger pulled him away. The Black Waltz destroyed all the black mages, everyone watched in shock from the cockpit. Vivi stared at the power Black Waltz No. 3 was using and what happening to the black mages. He walked to Dagger and Jecht, they comforted him.

 

"Wh-What cruelty!" Steiner said in shock.

 

Vivi ran from Jecht's arms to the dock, Jecht, Braska, Yuna, Rikku, and Paine followed him,
