Final Days of Tomorrow

Kin looked up at Miku, his eyes, his face, everything was changing to him "I...." was all he could get out before he passed out, his features now seemed to make him more into adult form, but not truly, he was just now covered with fur, the time of year when all wolves change into their alter-ego, while still in full control.

 

"Your a were wolf.." Yuki said solemnly. Kin, I wish you can hear me. I hope my thoughts can wake you up..... Miku is worried about you... can you hear me? she's worried! Yuki shed a single tear. " Why ........." She stayed silent.

 

She let go of him. One could notice her trembling a little, she bit her lip. "I don't know..." she replied to Yuki's statement.

 

Kin woke up and looked at them both "What?" he asked, started scratching himself behind the ear like a dog.

 

Yuki stayed slient, still in shock. Her face was practically swimming in tears. She wiped them all away "N-Nothing"

 

Miku got up to her feet, her head hung down. She slapped Kin on the head hard, "Idiot..." she muttered before she ran off. Tears fell down from her eyes as she ran not knowing which direction or where she was headed to.

 

Kin held his head, he felt the claws "Uh...." he pulled them off his head and looked at them "Great..." he said solemnly. He got up "Yuki, stay here, I'm gonna go talk with Miku, 'kay?" he asked, and without her reply, he was gone into the trees, following Miku's scent.

 

Part of her knew it was useless but she didn't really know what else to do. She wanted to run away from them but she wasn't going to let the living catch her. She tried hiding behind a few bushes that blanketed over her, she hugged her knees and buried her crying eyes into them.

 

" All I do is cause trouble for all of you. Now, I feel like I just add more pressure on all of you because of my lack of strength and my weakness. I just don't understand anymore. I don't want to cause trouble for all of you but I always end up causing trouble anyhow. I just won't......." She said to herself. Yuki walked away, pained and guilty. How could she be so selfish?

 

It wasn't hard for Kin to find her "Miku?" he asked, looking at her.

 

She knew he was there, but not a single sound came out of her.

 

Kin pushed himself into the bushes and sat next to her "Miku, c'mon, this is foolish...what's wrong, is it the fur? The claws? I told you, when we first met...I'm not one of the living." he said.

 

Yuki had to find herself. Each tree and bush she passed seemed to be living remnants of her ever existing past. The way she watched her parents die right in front of her. The tears she saw in each person's face. The sorrow of her past always haunted her, how was she ever going to overcome it? Pain, that was all she felt.

 

"I'm aware of that." she said, not lifting her head up to face him. In fact she inched away from him, "You'll never understand so there's no reason for me to tell you."

 

Kin sighed and looked away "Then tell me. I'll understand then." he replied, looking at her now.

 

Miku lifted her head up now, brushing back her short golden hair. "It's just that... you worried me. A-and I remembered a lot of things when that happened, what just happened to you..." she said, her voice going high at the end as she started to try not to cry again. She whipped her tears before they could have fallen, she still didn't face him. "You just scared me so badly, I didn't know what I was thinking. I'm sorry for hitting you on the head like that.."

 

Kin smiled and slightly laugh a bit as he put his hand on her shoulder "Well, can't blame ya, this is after-all, the season of Wolves." he said, looking at the sky "And in that season...I have to find someone...which I can't really blame this instinct...but I'm probably the only Wolf in this entire forest." he exclaimed with a sigh, he looked at the ground.

 

"Maybe.... unless he is still alive." she said looking at the ground as well after she glanced at Kin for a second or two. Her voice was still trembling a bit.

Yuki, it meant snow. Perhaps, her name did have a meaning to her. Where ever she went she always gave bad luck to others just like an unexpected winter.

 

Kin laughed a bit "Who was it that you liked when you were alive?" he asked, looking at her. His hand still on her shoulder.
