"Master, please make sure to use your Sailcloth when descending from high elevations. Failure to do so has a high probability of resulting in injury."

It's these kind of things that I find funny about Fi. The way she talks and Link's face when he first hears her "Smart person" language. I don't find Fi annoying, I find her helpful.

"You called Master?" Summary, Hint, Rumors.

She is a helpful ally and if you can't see that I feel sorry for you because you're missing out on a great character.

I see her as far more patronizing than helpful, these are tips a 4 year old would need, I know Zelda is a kids game but god damn how ADHD do you think children are nowadays, she spouts completely useless crap the entire game, least Navi was a pretty flicker.

Uh, Fi isn't a character, all she does is tell you stuff you should know anyway. Like with the sailcloth thing, EVERY time you have a use for the sailcloth, the Z-button will be blinking at the bottom of the screen. Heck, when you arive on one of the three big locations from the sky, the game opens the sailcloth for you.

    And Link is a dink.

I'm not exatly the smartest when it comes to Zelda so I find her "completely useless and random crap" helpful. Yes, her auto tuned voice makes her sound wierd, but there is a deeper meaning to why Fi talks like this. She doesn't undarstan human emotions (Proven when she says: "According to your social customs, I must tell you my designation"). She learns about them as the game progresses and that makes her more human. Just because it's a kids game doesn't mean the hints are ADHD. My 5 year old sister and 4 year old cousin play Zelda, and they have never gotten far until now. Midna and Navi never really helped as much as Fi, so Skyward Sword is the Zelda game that young kids can enjoy with no problem or much frustration.

Newsflash, just cuz you don't like her doesn't mean she's not a character. That's like hating certain people and saying that they aren't people.

Plkus the sailcloth thing was something I thought funny in the picture in the instruction manual of Skyward Sword.

The children will never get smarter, if they get the answer to everything handed to them on gold plate.

And no, my dislike for Fi is not what makes me say she is not a character. Her complete lack of depth is what makes me say so. All she does is tell you pointless stuff, as well as dancing around once in a while. You might just as well say that the giant Wii-mote on the right side of the screen is a character, they have about as much depth and the same uses.

Her complete lack of depth comes from the fact she doesn't underrstand emotions. She learns to at the end though.
