I have so many, but at the moment I am loving:

    -Nicci French
-Shakespeare (not really an author, more a writer but I love reading his work)
-Stephen King (I will always love The Shining and Misery)

Those are my three favourites currently but it changes so much.

Ray Bradbury is my absolute favorite. For males any way. For women it is Anne McCaffrey.

    Oh, easy!
Douglas Adams. He's an artist when it comes to sci-fi and satire.

I also enjoy reading Rick Riordan's books. He's got an adorable style and interesting books.

adams is the bee's knees. I just wished he could have finished the hitchhiker's guide series properly.

Kind of love anything written by John Green and Ellen Hopkins. I will read anything of theirs. The majority of other books I read all written by different authors, and is the only book I've ever read by them.

I know it's not his fault. I enjoyed Salmon of a Doubt for what it was, but, being incomplete, it was difficult to appreciate.

And Another Thing... wasn't that great. I twas Adams-esque, but it wasn't Adams. oh well. you live and you die.

I actually never read it, it didn't look like something I'd enjoy, being that Adams didn't write it, and he's one of my favorite authors, I just feel like his work should have been left unfinished.

Adams' wife actually approved it and said it was good or something along those lines.

Aaron Allston (Star Wars X-Wing, some New Jedi Order, Legacy of the Force and Fate of the Jedi stuff. But you can probably ignore the latter ones)
    Rick Riordan (Percy Jackson series)
    Stephen King (doesn't need exapmles)
Vaino Linna (The Unknown Soldier, Under the North Star, for Finnish reasons)
J.K Rowling (for creating and destroying my childhood)

Honorable mention to Dan Wells since I've only read one book of his so far (Partials), but he writes female characters shockingly well, which was such a pleasant surprise after some of the awful books I'd read.
