Fast Help pleasee

Hey, I feel like an idiot because I am trying to save Final Fantasy 6 ( REALLY OLD GAME)
and it isn't working.
AND EVERYONE VIEWS THE SPAM ZONE SOOOOO...( i needed help fast)
I have a PS2 and a PS2 memory card (DUHHH)

but every time i step into the blue star and open the save menu from the main menu, it tells me that there is no memory card insurted in slot 1 or 2.
and there are.
I also put in the card that had space left on it.
(BECAUSE I LOVE TO SAVE AT CERTAIN POINTS OF KH AND KH2) [60 files laterrr....]
but i don't understand..is it the game?
because i thought it was made for PS2 and it is working fine when i play it....

 

I'm pretty sure you need a PS1 memory card.

 

I'm sure ur right but...how does that fit in a PS2? lol

You can't use ps2 memory cards for ps1 games.

See if i new that in best buy 2 years ago i would have bought a different Final Fantasy -_-

 

I used to do that with my PS1 games before I had a memory card... Oh how my father would get pissed.
