Brock rose out of the water, a surprised gasp leaving his lips. He looked from Samantha to Sora, his eyebrows furrowing in anger.

Sora held the glare, his fists tightening slightly. "Next time, don't do something stupid," he said evenly. "Others may not be as nice as I am." The brunette looked up and saw his friends looking at him. He didn't hold eye-contact with any of them as he moved past them and exit the area, leaving everyone staring in awe.

Namine wasn't quite sure what to do now, but she definitely didn't want to stay at the pool. After a moment, she too left the pool area, walking a little bit behind Sora. She wasn't too close though; obviously he needed a little bit of space.

Kairi watched Sora leave and glanced back at the two near the pool. Without a word she followed her boyfriend out, glad to finally be leaving.

Roxas took the rear again after looking at the couple and smiling slightly. They got what they deserved. He left the area, seeing the two girls and Sora up ahead.

Samantha trailed the four teenagers with shocked eyes, speechless at to what just occurred.

Sora looked forward as he walked, a blank expression on his face. His hands were curled into light fists, not because he wanted a fight, but because he was so tense. He didn't even want to think about what just happened, but it was hard not to ponder if he did the right thing or not.

Namine looked over her shoulder and slowed her walk, waiting for Roxas to catch up so that she could be right by his side. After what had just happened, she just didn't want to be away from him. Even if nothing bad happened to her, it was bad enough it happened to Sora and Kairi.

Kairi passed Namine without glancing back at her to see what she was doing. It was pretty obvious who she was waiting up for. The redhead lifted her eyes to the boy a few feet ahead of her, and without thought she took a few quick steps to catch up, hearing her flip flops make contact with the ground beneath her. Kairi approached Sora, first putting her hand on his back before coming up beside him.

Roxas smiled softly at Namine when he made eye-contact with her. Once they were walking beside each other he brought his arm around her shoulders, bringing her close to him. As terrible as it was for Sora and Kairi, he was thankful it didn't happen to Namine.

Sora blinked once in surprise, not expecting the gentle hand on his back. He lowered his head and looked down at the ground, not having the courage to look Kairi in the eye. He figured that she would have been upset over everything, but judging by her soft touch, she was more concerned about him. It didn't make sense to him, but that was the impression he got.

Namine smiled softly and wrapped an arm around Roxas' lower back, the girl lightly leaning into his as they walked. She was so grateful that she had Roxas so close by. After what had happened, it would have been a shame if something else occurred. But as long as Roxas was nearby, Namine felt as if that wouldn't happen.

Kairi looked at Sora, a little upset that he wouldn't meet her gaze. Despite that, she kept her hand on his back, her eyes focusing forward. There was still a light sting on her cheek, and the feeling of it made Kairi press her lips together. She was sure that side of her face had been red at the time, but hopefully it wasn't anymore. She didn't want to remember it, but that was inevitable now, after everything.

Roxas looked down at Namine, his small smile still visible on his face. He kissed the side of her head as they walked, glad that nothing bad had happened to her; she'd gone through enough this year already. Of course, that didn't mean what happened was okay. But he was still thankful nothing happened to the blonde beauty beside him.

In reality, Sora felt ashamed at himself. He shouldn't have lost control back there...if Roxas hadn't intervened, then things could have ended very badly. And now Kairi was here, silently trying to comfort him. It should have been the other way, but he couldn't bring himself to look at her because of his shame. It frustrated him that he couldn't look at the girl he loved at that moment. I don't deserve you, he thought, the words leaving through his heart without him realizing it.

Namine felt her small smile widen at Roxas' gesture. She turned at met his gaze for a moment, her eyes showing that she appreciated everything he had done, both past and present. But then she turned forward again, knowing that with her luck, she would trip over something if she wasn't paying attention.

Kairi felt the words impact her heart, both literally and emotionally. She stared ahead for a moment before her gaze dropped to the sidewalk beneath her feet. Subconsciously she grabbed a light fistful of Sora's shirt, then releasing it to let her hand rest against his back again. If there was any truth to what he said at all, she didn't see it. In fact, she thought just the opposite--if anything she didn't deserve him.

Roxas rubbed the shoulder his hand was resting on, keeping Namine close. He was still very protective of her, after everything. He knew it wasn't a habit he was going to be able to break, or even be willing to break.

Sora stole a quick glance at Kairi, feeling sadness inpact his heart. His heavy heart was dragging her down too, and he hated that. "Sorry," he said silently, still not aware she heard his previous statement. He was apologizing because he was so serious. He may have had a right to be this way, but it wasn't what was best for Kairi, his friends, or for himself.

Namine looked in front of her, watching the couple walking a little bit on front of them. It looked like they were both upset over this, but neither of them knew the right things to say. She wished she could help her friends, but it wasn't her place to meddle. And anyway, she had no clue what to say, anyway.

Kairi turned her head, immediately meeting the ocean-blue eyes she loved. She offered Sora a weak smile. "Don't be," she replied silently. What happened wasn't his fault. To emphasize how much she believed that she was the one that didn't deserve him, it was what happened today. Sora stood up for her so proudly, not even thinking of the consequences. And she personally thought it was because he cared so much for her. If anyone didn't deserve anybody, it was Kairi with Sora.

Roxas felt the light breeze blow his now dry spikes out of his eyes as he walked behind his two friends. It was as if the wind blew the tension back for him to feel, because that was when he sensed it. He continued rubbing Namine's shoulder, beginning to feel that sympathy for his friends again.

Sora noticed Kairi's small smile and he forced himself to smile faintly in return, the teen not wanting to appear too serious. It was foolish to try and fool Kairi, but right now, he needed to trick himself into being happy so that they could move on after this. He lifted an arm and wrapped it around Kairi's shoulders, softly bringing her closer to him.

Namine looked down at the ground as she walked, feeling a cool wind go through her damp blond hair. It was a beautiful day out...and the day wasn't near over yet. Hopefully things would improve so that they could all enjoy the rest of the day.

Kairi's smile remained at the gesture, but it dimmed once she looked forward again. The day had really just begun, but with all this weight on everyone's shoulders, what could they do to make it better?

Roxas let his eyes wander, taking in the weather. Today was a wonderful day considering weather, but not events. He tried to think up something everyone could do to make the pool memories fade.

Sora exhaled silently, feeling much better with Kairi right by his side. And under his arm. He blinked softly one time, knowing there was one more thing he needed to do before he moved on. He slowed his walk and let his arm slide off Kairi's shoulders as he came to a complete stop, turning around to face his other two friends. "Sorry, guys," he said softly, his voice much calmer than it had been at the pool. "I lost my cool." That's putting it lightly, he thought to himself, frowning a little bit.

When Sora had slowed and then stopped, Namine had done the same, still holding onto Roxas with one arm around his back. "It's okay," she said quietly, meaning it. Sora had been upset for a reason, and she understood that.

Kairi looked from Sora to her friends, hearing the words exchanged. Sora was very sincere with this apology, she could tell. Oh, how she wanted to tell him that he was wrong! And that she really was the one that didn't deserve someone like him! He was so sweet and caring, protective and loving. She couldn't ask for anyone better.

Roxas nodded, smiling softly at Sora. "It happens, man," he said with a shrug, his arm still around Namine's shoulders. "Don't worry about it." He truly meant it, because it was only natural to fight for someone you loved. That was the case today, and Roxas couldn't really blame Sora for what had happened. He would have done the same concerning Namine.

Sora ran a hand over the back of his hair, the spikes still wet because he hadn't bothered to dry off. "I was a jerk," he said softly, his eyes lowering to the ground. Again, he knew he had a reason to have been upset, but that didn't justify his actions in his mind.

Namine kept her gentle gaze on Sora, sensing his sincerity and guilt. But there was nothing to feel bad about, just like Roxas pointed out. But she felt like it would have been better for Sora to hear it from somebody else, so she stayed silent for a moment.

Kairi gazed at Sora with softened eyes. "You shouldn't have any reason to blame yourself," she insisted gently, setting a hand on his shoulder closest to her. She had more to say, and wished that Sora would look at her. They say the eyes are the window to a person's soul. With that combined with the words she was speaking from her heart, Kairi thought Sora would truly believe her.

Roxas glanced at both of his friends, frowning slightly. Kairi was right. If anything, it was the other couple's fault. They were the ones who started this. Sora ended it in a more mature way, at least.

Sora shook his head slightly, the teen keeping his head down. He didn't see it that way; the other two jerks were responsible for their actions, and he was responsible for his. When he sensed a soft gaze on him, he looked over at Kairi slightly, his blue orbs connecting with hers.

Kairi gazed into Sora's eyes, speaking from her heart. "You were just doing what you thought was right, and there's never anything wrong with that, even if you don't feel the same afterward." She gave his shoulder a light squeeze. "You were sticking up for me, Sora. And I appreciate that you did. It's not right for them to get away with what they did. Surely everyone else realized that," Kairi told him gently. "You should too."

Sora looked away at the mention of the other two teens. "Yeah," he said softly in agreement. Those two definitely hadn't deserved to get away with what they did. Didn't they know who Kairi was? She was a princess. His princess. He would protect her with his life. And now, knowing that Kairi wasn't upset with the way he acted back at the pool, he felt a lot of the pressure taken off his shoulders. "Thanks, Kai," he said, looking back over at the girl beside him.

Kairi nodded with a genuine smile. "Of course," she said, looking him in the eye. She understood why Sora was thanking her, but she felt that she really should have been the one giving her thanks. You protected me so passionately. If you feel you don't deserve me, you're wrong. If a person doesn't deserve someone, it's me who doesn't deserve you, Kairi thought silently. The words had been so true that they tranferred over to Sora. However, it didn't go unnoticed; Kairi was glad Sora would know, because he needed to know.
