Fast Food Madness: The Epic Return

Namine headed in behind Sora, noticing Roxas motion her forward. She went through the line and entered the area, her eyes immediatly catching onto a lot of people having fun in the pool already. And then she looked around and saw Sora, who was standing over by some shaded tables where they could place their stuff. She wordlessly headed over there, wanting to set down her bag and take off her tank top and capris before she got into the pool.

 

Kairi followed Sora over to the table, seeing that he was eager to get in the water by the way he quickly found a spot. She approached the area, setting her bag down on the table and getting ready to swim.

Roxas took the rear, following his friends toward the place Sora picked out. His eyes roamed the area before he actually reached the table, taking in the amount of people occupying the pool. Apparently they weren't the only ones who had the idea for a swim today.

 

Namine put her extra clothing in her bag and looked back to the pool, the scene not changing in the few seconds she looked away. It wasn't surprising the pool was busy; it was a very hot day.

Sora took off his shirt, revealing a scar on his side from the blade he had been hit with a couple weeks ago. He had gotten so used to it being there that he hadn't thought about his friends, who had never seen it before.

 

Kairi took off her tank top, getting ready to swim, before she saw Sora doing the same. She blushed, looking away. But her eyes caught something, making her do a double-take. There was a mark... Kairi looked away quickly, not wanting to cause a scene on such a nice day.

Roxas dropped his towel on a chair next to the table. He glanced at the pool again and smiled, noticing that Sora was getting ready out of the corner of his eye. He decided to do the same, losing his sight of the pool for a second as he lifted the shirt over his head.

 

Sora set his shirt on the table, his eyes immediately wandering to the pool. And then he looked at Kairi, who had just taken off her tank top. He looked away and gazed at the pool, thinking again how much fun it would be to throw Kairi into the pool. He'd do that as soon as he had the chance, that was for sure.

Namine casually folded her arms, looking casually from Sora and then to the pool. She couldn't wait to get in there...the water looked like it would be extremely refreshing.

 

Kairi slipped off her bottoms as well, revealing her purple swimsuit. She placed the clothing on top of her bag, that way she wouldn't lose them. She then looked to her friends, seeing they were all ready to take a swim. "Ready?"

Roxas turned to Kairi and grinned enthusiastically. "You bet!" he said. The water looked very nice, and he bet it was cooling. He was hot.

 

"Yeah!" Namine said with a smile, turning to face Kairi and the others. But a sudden movement caught her eye, and she then turned her attention to that.

Sora grinned and moved closer to Kairi before he bent down slightly, slipping one arm around Kairi's back and the other under her legs. He then picked her up without much effort and looked down at her, that playful grin still in his lips. "Ladies first, Roxas," he said, looking up at his friend now. Hopefully his best friend would take the hint.

 

Kairi, who had yelped when Sora sweeped her literally off her feet, looked up at Sora with confusion and surprise. "Sora? What are you doing?" she asked, curiosity evident in her voice.

Roxas's smile turned into a smirk as he winked, the boy then taking a quick step toward Namine and picking her up. He held her to his bare chest, arms tucked under her legs and behind her back. "Of course. That would only be the proper thing to do," he replied, looking toward Sora.

 

Namine's eyes widened at the movement, but she wasn't nearly as surprised as Kairi had been. She instinctively set a hand on Roxas' chest, her wide eyes wandering up to him. "You're gonna throw us in?" she mused aloud, trying to slow her fast heartbeat.

Sora grinned at Namine, seeing how quickly she connected the dots. "That's right," he confirmed with a nod. He looked back down at Kairi again, that playful smile still on his lips.

 

Kairi's eyes widened for a fraction of a second before narrowing. "Don't you dare..." she said, though her voice held a slice of playfulness in it. She guessed it didn't really matter; the pool was bound to be refreshing, regardless of how she got in. Surely Sora recognized that she was...playing along.

Roxas's smirk grew a little and he glanced at Sora. Whenever Sora was ready, they'd throw the two girls in together.

 

Sora smirked and gripped Kairi more tightly as he headed over to the side of the pool, the teen stopping right next to the water. And then he turned to look at Roxas, since he was planning on throwing in Kairi at the same time as his friend.

 

Kairi looked over the edge of the pool, seeing that it was clean and clear, and most likely cool. Secretly impatient to actually get in the water, the girl looked up to the boy holding her. She felt a faint smirk rise on one corner of her lips as she stared at Sora. She was going to get him for this later.

Roxas gripped Namine tight, approaching the pool and standing beside Sora. He gave the brunet a nod before looking down at Namine, grinning. "Hope you're ready to get wet!" he cried.

 

"Roxas, you throw me in and this means war," Namine said in a serious tone of voice, her eyes twinkling with playfulness. It was an empty threat, really. She just wanted to get this over with--she hated anticipation!

Sora grinned down at Kairi before looking at Roxas. "One..." he started, adjusting his hold on Kairi without thought. Of course, there was no way he would hurt her by throwing her in...he wouldn't let it happen. "Two...Three!" he cried, swinging Kairi back and then forward before releasing her completely.

 

Roxas chuckled at Namine's statement before pulling back slightly and then releasing Namine as he brought his arms toward the pool.

Kairi squealed lightly as soon as Sora let her go. She felt her body meet the water, the girl instinctively holding her breath just before she went under.

 

Namine took in one last breath and then squeezed her eyes shut right before hitting the water. It only took her a moment before she got back to the surface, a laugh escaping her lips.

Sora grinned at the water. "Hey, Roxas?" he started before turning to the teen beside him.

 

Kairi rose to the surface, exhaling as she wiped the water from her face. She turned, hearing Namine's laughter. Almost immediately the redhead joined her, giggling.

Roxas had one hand on his hip leisurely, the boy having watched the scene unfold. He turned his head at the sound of his name, still smiling. "Yeah?" he replied, eyes on Sora.

 

"Hope you're ready for this!" Sora said with a grin. He moved over behind his friend before Roxas could respond and pushed him forward with two hands, hoping that the boy would go into the pool and not have a chance to recover and push Sora in.

 

Roxas cried out in surprise, falling forward and fortunately not hitting the water with his stomach. He felt himself sink into the water before opening his eyes. He pushed off the floor of the pool with his feet, rising to the surface. Once he took in some air, he opened his eyes, shaking the water from his hair.

Kairi had moved slightly out of the way as soon as she saw Sora's movement, getting out of Roxas's way just in time. Unfortunately, she hadn't gotten far enough away to avoid the splash. And when Roxas sprayed water everywhere, she squinted, giggling. "Hey!"

 

"Roxas!" Namine scolded through her laughter, bringing a hand up to her face to block the water. She hadn't been expecting Sora to do something like that, but it was definitely funny to see him and Roxas being playful together.

Sora grinned and folded his arms across his chest, a few chuckles leaving him. "Looks like I'm winning today," he told his best friend. Of course, he was referring to the unspoken competition they were in. And pushing Roxas in had to count for something; he was sure of that.

 

Roxas chuckled at both the girls' reactions and Sora's confidence. "Yeah, we'll see about that!" He took a step forward and immediately pushed huge amounts of water at Sora, hopefully to distract him while he slipped out of the pool so he could bring Sora in with him, together this time.
