Fast Food Madness: The Epic Return

Namine looked up at Roxas and gave him a gentle smile that was accompanied by a nod. She was alright...She hurt a little bit from the sudden fall, but she was sure it wasn't anything serious. "He's really strong," she commented, looking at her loyal pooch.

 

"I think Kairi's the only who has yet to experience that," Roxas commented with a small smile. He looked from Namine to Ty, noticing that he wasn't standing over her, so he wasn't restricting her to the ground. Roxas bent over a little and rested a hand on his knee, the other being offered out to the blonde girl in front of him.

 

Namine saw Roxas' hand out of the corner of her eye and she turned to look at it. A moment later, her eyes wandered up to Roxas' eyes. The look in them brought a smile to her lips, and she slipped her hand into his, Ty sniffing the fabric of her jeans now.

 

Roxas wrapped his fingers securely around Namine's small hand, using the muscles in his arm to begin to pull her up. It wasn't a hard task, considering she was so light.

 

With Roxas' help, Namine got up to her feet without a problem, her eyes staying on him the whole time. Well, until Ty barked from beside her and stepped on her foot. "Ty," she scolded lovingly, a small smile still on her lips. That dog always interrupted something...

Sora made it over around that time, the teen not arriving as quickly because his walk had been pretty slow. He couldn't help but smile at Ty; Even if he was being a trouble-maker, he was still adorable.

 

Roxas looked up at his friends when he saw them coming up out of the corner of his eye. He still held onto Namine's hand, despite the fact she was already up, smiling softly at his friends. "She's fine. They both are...for now," he said, his eyes finding Ty and giving him a goofy-yet-scolding look.

Kairi smiled slightly, one small chuckle leaving her. Poor Ty. Even though he was being a bit of a trouble-maker, he didn't know any better. By Roxas's gaze she could tell he knew that, but was still pointing out the obvious--that Ty was still a puppy, even with his size, and was just being playful. And cute.

 

Sora chuckled at Roxas' words. Yeah, he was sure Namine would scold him later for toppling her over. After all, that's not something you ever want your dog to do, especially not a big dog like Ty.

Namine felt herself blush faintly at the first words Roxas said. Of course she was fine; Ty wouldn't have been able to hurt her badly just through being playful. Roxas' concern was touching, though. "I still have a lot to teach him," she said with a sigh, looking down at the dog, who was gazing back up at her with big brown eyes.

 

Roxas let his eyes rest on Namine as his smile grew slightly. "That's okay," he started. "I'm sure he'll listen to anything you say...except for when he's over-excited." He rubbed the side of his head as he made a face, letting a few chuckles leave him in referrence to what just occurred.

Kairi felt her smile soften as she took a few steps forward and knelt down by Ty's side. She lifted a hand and ran it over his back. "Aww, but he's just a puppy," she said sweetly. "That's to be expected." Over the duration they'd been in New York and been to the park, she'd seen things like this happen before. A good example was Toby, the golden retriever that had come up to them a few months before.

 

Sora chuckled, folding his arms across his chest. "I'm sure he'll calm down. Someday," he said with a smile. He couldn't see it happening in the near future, but still, Ty had to calm down sometime.

Namine giggled, bringing her free hand to Ty's head. "Yeah, once he's in the grave," she said jokingly. "Until then, I think I've got my hands full with Ty, the hyperactive pooch." Of course, her tone of voice was one of love for the dog, because he was a very loyal companion, and she did enjoy him, even if he was a little too easily excited.

 

Roxas chuckled, letting his hand slip behind out of Namine's and rubbing his arm. It was kind of sore, and he could guess it was because of the handling on Ty he had to do earlier that day.

Kairi continued to stroke Ty's coat, smiling at the way Namine talked to him. That was typical of a pet owner; they always did talk differently to their pets.

 

Sora noticed a dull ache in his shoulder, which was probably reawakened by the physical work he had done holding Ty back. Oh well, at least it wasn't extremely bad. He was sure it would never be as bad as it was earlier, so that was good.

Namine smiled and knelt down when Roxas released her hand, the girl's eyes staying on Ty. Ty was basking in the attention, getting love from both the girls. It was odd how Ty always was happier around girls; He was a true lady's man--or, dog.

 

After rubbing his arm for another second, Roxas brought his fist to rest on his hip, standing in the position he always took on when he was pretty comfortable. He smirked slightly down at the dog before him, wondering just how he got the girls' attention so easily.

 

Namine knelt down in front of Ty, backing away a little bit when the dog panted in her face. She was just about to scold him when he moved forward and bumped her, forcing her to sit down completely. Before she could react to that, though, Ty stepped into her lap, between her legs, and licked her cheek a few times.

 

Roxas watched the dog force Namine down to the ground again, chuckling a few times. "I think he's pretty fond of you," he said, looking at Namine with the same smirk, now accompanied by an arched eyebrow.

Kairi giggled a little, standing back up. It was true--Ty really did love Namine. That was pretty obvious.

 

Namine brought up a hand and gently turned Ty's nose away from her, a small smile on her lips. She looked up at Roxas, a giggle leaving her lips at the look he was giving her.

Sora caught onto Roxas' expression, and that made him smirk. "Jealous, Roxas?" he asked his friend teasingly, seeing that arched brow. That was something the blond often did when he was thinking critically or was observing certain situations.

 

Roxas held the same expression, his eyes flicking over to Sora. He shrugged, his smirk growing slightly as he glanced back down at Namine. In truth, he was pretty jealous of the little pooch.

Kairi smiled some more another small laugh leaving her lips when she watched Roxas's movements at Sora's question. It was pretty clear by his expression and such that he had a tiny bit of envy regarding the attention Ty was giving to Namine.

 

Namine ignored the dog and looked up at Roxas with bright blue eyes. "Roxas," she said lovingly, a smile on her lips. "There's no competition here," she assured him. She may have loved Ty, but what she felt for Roxas was a whole lot stronger than anything she could feel for a pet; Even if he was the best pet in the world.

 

Roxas tilted his head to the side, feeling his teasing side begin to come out more. "Are you sure?" he asked, leaning to the side with his fist returning to his hip. He could feel the urge to smile goofily, but kept his smirk in place.

 

Namine smiled widely and turned to face her dog again. "Of course," she started, a bit of playfulness coming through in her voice. "Ty wins; Hands down." Of course, it was obvious that she was only saying that to tease Roxas, both by the tone of voice and her true feelings on the subject.

 

Roxas's smirk disappeared, his lips parting in mock-astonishment. He then narrowed his eyes playfully. "What did you just say, young lady?" he said, his tone playfully threatening. Yup, his playful side was making an appearance.
