Fast Food Madness: The Epic Return

Sora silently moved forward once more, his eyes on the pizza. Two pieces had tasted good, but he was still hungry. He reached in and grabbed a third piece.

 

Roxas was in the middle of his second slice when he looked to his friends. "So..." he started, chewing and then swallowing his food. "What's on the agenda for the rest of the day?"

Kairi took a sip of her soda, looking at Roxas. "Well, we're not leaving your house tonight. Not after that movie," she said, biting her lip at the thought of the scary scenario.

 

Sora shrugged slightly, finishing chewing before he spoke. "You have any ideas?" he asked, turning to face his friend. If Roxas didn't, then he was sure the two of them could work together to come up with something.

 

Roxas shook his head. "Not a clue," he said with a chuckle, bringing the pizza to his mouth again. He really had no idea what they could do for the rest of the day. It was still afternoon, and as far as he knew everyone was staying at his house tonight. So they pretty much had all day and night to hang out and do something.

 

Namine smiled weakly, taking a step forward and grabbing a drink off the table. She had no ideas for what they could do the rest of the night. She may have been creative artistically, but she wasn't very good at coming up with ideas for hangouts and such.

Sora looked up at the ceiling, stopping with his pizza for a moment. He didn't have a clue about what to do, either. So he tried coming up with something at that moment, but he had nothing.

 

Kairi finished her pizza and set her plate down, leaning back in her seat and crossing her arms as she tried to help the boys come up with something. "We could always go to the park," she suggested softly. "We always find something to do there..."

 

Namine lowered her drink in her hand, a small smile coming to her lips. "I could bring Ty," she said aloud, thinking of her playful pooch. Wherever Ty was, there was sure to be some laughter.

 

Roxas instantly smiled at Namine. "Never bored with him around," he chimed, humor light in his voice. It was true, because something interesting always happened when Ty was with them. And with all four of them, surely something would take place.

 

"I haven't seen Ty in forever," Sora said, a smile on his lips. He missed the mutt; Ty was fun, energetic, and very loyal. He would love to see him again.

Namine smiled and looked at all her friends. "I could go get him," she started. "But somebody would have to come with me; I don't like walking alone." Ever since everything in the past year, and especially since she just sat through a scary movie, she didn't want to be alone.

 

"I'll go with you," Roxas immediately offered, his eyes resting on the girl he loved as he set his plate down on the table. He was always the one to walk home with her, day or night. He had ever since a few things occurred, making things like walking home frightening for Namine. Roxas didn't like seeing her so scared, so he protected her any chance he had, and that was every minute of every day.

 

Namine smiled softly, nor surprised that Roxas would offer right away. "Okay," she said, nodding faintly. She would be ready to leave whenever he was, and then they could all go to the park and have fun.

"You two wanna meet me and Kairi there?" Sora asked, wondering what exactly would happen. If those two went to get Ty, then he and Kairi would have a bit of free time on their hands.

 

Roxas nodded as he stood up straight. "Yup, sounds good," he said. He then turned to Namine. "Ready?" He was ready, and she seemed like maybe she was as well.

Kairi sipped at her soda, contemplating the plans. She was glad she suggested it, because they always had fun at the park. And if Ty was there, it'd probably be even better. Of course, whenever she was with all of her friends, she was perfectly happy.

 

Namine nodded and set down her drink. "Yeah," she responded, looking at Roxas. The one slice of pizza she had filled her up just fine, and now she was ready for some fun at the park.

 

"Okay," Roxas said with a small smile. He then looked from Sora to Kairi. "I guess we'll see you guys at the park?" He wasn't sure how many minutes that would be, considering he and Namine had to go to her house and get Ty, then head to Central Park.

Kairi smiled gently and nodded silently. With Namine and Roxas leaving, that left just her and Sora, but she was okay with that. Perfectly okay, in fact.

 

Sora nodded, smiling at his best friend. "Yeah, see you there," he assured him. He and Kairi would leave in a few minutes, once he finished his pizza. And he would straighten up while he was at it; It was the least he could do after Roxas paid for the meal.

Namine took a few steps over toward Roxas. Her shoes were already on--With all the excitement earlier, she had completely forgotten about her footwear. Oh well, they were comfy shoes, anyway.

 

Roxas nodded, and then looked to Namine. He smiled at her as he reached for her hand, and once he twined his fingers with hers, he looked at his friends. Roxas waved to them with his free hand before starting out of the kitchen.

 

Namine gave her friends a faint nod, a smile on her lips as she walked with Roxas, her hand connected to his. She loved feeling him being right there, and she was sure it would be very comforting during their walk through the city.

Sora returned the wave with a small one of his own, the teen still wearing a smile. He'd see them soon enough at the park, which made him feel excited. They always had fun at the park when they were together.

 

Roxas left the kitchen with Namine beside him, something he loved to acknowledge. He loved her, very much, and he couldn't imagine life without caring for her as much as he did. It was a hard thing to think of, and something he couldn't see himself ever doing to her.

A little later...

Namine walked lightly leaning against Roxas, the girl under his arm as they entered the park. He was the one holding Ty's leash; He had insisted that the dog would try and get away from her, since there was a lot of excitement at the park that day. Mainly, a lot of squirrels and a few other dogs.

Sora sat with Kairi next to a pond, the teen leaning against the tree. He was keeping an eye out for Roxas, Namine, and Ty, but he hadn't seen them yet. However, he was sure they would be arriving shortly.

 

Roxas walked along the park path, his eyes resting on the dog in front of him. Ty was sniffing the ground as they walked and occasionally turned his head to acknowledge the people passing by. It was no wonder to Roxas as to why so many people were outdoors today, because the weather was great. He was glad they chose to come to the park. Speaking of, he hoped he would find his friends soon.

Kairi leaned back against her palms as she sat next to Sora, though he was busy leaning against the tree. She looked up through the shade and saw the sunlight shine through, flickering sometimes when the leaves ruffled in the wind. The sound was calming to her, and so was the sight of the ducks in the pond ahead of her.
