Fast Food Madness: The Epic Return

Sora felt a presence beside him on the couch, and he immediately wanted to open his eyes. Not because he wanted to prove he was strong and that he had no problems (because that wasn't completely true), but because he wanted to look at the girl he had missed so dearly over the past few days. He opened his eyes and turned to look at her, a small smile forming right away.

Once she was standing, Namine wiped some grass and dirt off her clothes. She figured they were going to do something simple, like a movie. After all, there wasn't much else they could all do together while in the middle of a situation like this, where Sora wasn't quite up to par.

 

Kairi fixed the hem of her shirt, feeling a gaze on her at the same time. She turned her head, her eyes instantly resting on the ocean-blue she adored. She couldn't help but smile at the one on Sora's face, loving to see that sweet grin.

Roxas held his hand out to Namine without thought. It was something natural, he supposed, even if it was just a walk back to the house.

 

Sora smiled softly at her and as he sat there, he had the desire to hold her. Thankfully, she was on his right side, so that wouldn't be a problem. He lifted up his right arm and gently wrapped it around her shoulders, bringing her a little closer to him. And the good thing was, this didn't affect his left side at all.

Namine turned her head slightly and saw the outstretched hand, which brought a smile onto her face again. She lifted her eyes and looked to Roxas as she gently slipped her hand into his.

 

Kairi's smile grew as she wrapped her right arm across Sora's stomach. She enjoyed being this close to him, because she hadn't been for what felt like a long time.

Roxas smiled again as he wrapped his hand securely around Namine's hand. He then turned towards the house, starting to lead her back.

 

Sora smiled softly and leaned his head down, giving her a light kiss on the head. "Love you," he whispered without thought. He hadn't said it lately, so he was going to say it as much as he could without going overboard. And by overboard, he meant saying it so much it annoyed those around him.

Namine kept her soft smile on her lips as she headed back to the house, right there with Roxas as he held her hand. She didn't think she'd ever get tired of that soft touch...Ever.

 

Kairi lifted her head, her smile growing at the soft-spoken words. "Love you too," she replied at equal volume, her eyes gazing up at the boy holding her. It was the looks like the one on his face now that always made her feel cherished, and she loved that feeling.

Roxas led Namine up to the door and he used his free hand to push it open. Of course, he stayed back, lifting her hand up a little as a motion to allow her to enter the house. "Ladies first," he said gently, a soft smile on his lips.

 

Sora smiled softly and continued to look down at the girl in his arms. How did I get so lucky, that I can be the one to love her? he thought. He'd never take that for granted...Not now, not ever.

Namine felt herself blush faintly; She wasn't sure why, but seeing Roxas act like a gentleman always made her feel a little surprised. She loved seeing this side of him, but she also loved his goofy side. All together, she just loved him. All of him. "Thanks," she said, walking inside his cool house.

 

Kairi let her eyes stay on Sora's for another second until she heard footsteps, the girl turning her head in the direction of the door. She knew it was Roxas and Namine.

Roxas nodded slightly and followed Namine inside, shutting the door behind him. He proceeded to slip his shoes off, thankful for the cool air in his home.

 

Even though Kairi looked away, Sora kept his eyes on her. He hadn't seen her in so long, it was hard to look away now. Not just hard...impossible. He started rubbing her arm with his thumb, his eyes staying on her face.

Namine slipped off her flip-flops easily. Ah, I love summer, she thought randomly, realizing just how much more comfortable she was in open shoes.

 

Kairi's smile had faded a little when she looked away, but at Sora's gesture she could feel it start to come back. Simple things like that really touched her. She couldn't help it, really, but she loved it nonetheless. Of course, she didn't love it any more than she loved Sora. Kairi knew nothing could conquer the love she held for him.

Roxas walked forward a couple feet, turning from the foyer toward the living room. He knew his friends were in there, so he wasn't surprised to find them on the couch.

 

Namine came in right after Roxas and stopped by his side, seeing her two friends on the couch. She couldn't help but smile at them; they were such a great couple...It was so obvious how much they loved each other.

Sora's gesture came to an end when he looked up at his friends, seeing them looking at him and Kairi. "Hey Roxas," he started. "We haven't forced the girls to watch scary movies lately, have we?"

 

Roxas arched an eyebrow, but he immediately smirked as he caught on. "No," he answered, looking from Kairi to Namine. "No, we haven't." The last time they had watched a scary movie together had been earlier in the year. It was quite humorous to watch the girls react, but he felt a little bad afterward. Especially when he found out Kairi couldn't sleep for a few days.

Kairi's eyes widened. She looked from Roxas to the boy holding her. "...Huh?" she asked uneasily, not liking the sound of this. Sora knew how afraid she was of scary movies! He and Roxas did!

 

Namine's eyes got wider and she turned to look at the boy beside her. "Roxas..." she started, her eyes pleading. She didn't like scary movies too much--They didn't terrify her after they were over, but they did scare her while watching it.

"What do you got that's not too scary?" Sora asked his best friend, a grin appearing on his lips. "Sorry, babe, but I'll never forget how you clung to me last time," he told her, his smile widening at the memory. He had never wanted her to let go after that.

 

Roxas's smirk turned into a smile as he focused his attention on Sora, aware of Namine's plead. "Hmm..." He started into the living room and over to the television, glancing back at Namine and offering her a goofy grin. He approached the television and the movies shelved in the entertainment system. "Let's see what we've got here..."

Kairi felt her lips part at Sora's words, the ones spoken to her through their hearts. She recalled that night they had watched one of the scarier movies Roxas owned, and she had grasped onto Sora very tightly. She remembered burying her face in Sora's shoulder then, having been too scared to look at the screen. And they were going to watch another one of those (though less scary) now?

 

Namine sighed softly, knowing that she couldn't talk the boys out of this one. She shook her head slightly and headed over to the couch, sitting herself down lightly. It was a big couch, so there would be plenty of room for Roxas when he was done setting up the scary movie.

Sora let his grin soften into a gentle smile, his eyes on the girl he had his arm around. "It's just a movie," he said softly, trying to sooth her.

 

Roxas scanned over the movies, searching for the right kind of movie--something scary, but not too scary. He knew the girls weren't very big fans of horror films, so he had to find the right one.

Kairi's eyes went back to their normal size slowly at the sight of Sora's smile, the girl shrugging a little. "I know, but they're meant to scare me," she said. "And they do a very good job." Seriously. Last time she couldn't sleep at night; she had to have Sora with her before she was able to actually get some rest.

 

Namine bit her lip lightly, folding her hands in her lap. She wasn't looking forward to this...not at all. But it wouldn't be that bad, as long as Roxas was nearby. At least, she hoped that was true.

Sora grinned slightly at Kairi's comment, but then his smile softened once again to try and sooth her nerves. "If it's too scary, we can turn it off," he assured her softly. He wouldn't want to put her through too much fright, that was for sure.

 

Roxas came down to two choices, neither of the movies too scary. They were just...suspenseful. He knew that wouldn't be a problem.

Kairi smiled softly, nodding. "Alright," she agreed softly. But hopefully, since Sora had mentioned one that wasn't too scary, it wouldn't come down to that.

 

Sora smiled softly and leaned his head toward Kairi's, giving her a light kiss on the forehead before he returned to his previous position. He hoped she wouldn't be too scared, but if she was, he wouldn't have a problem with turning off the movie.

 

Kairi smiled a little more at the gesture, that small touch affecting her greatly. Of course, Sora always had those kind of effects on her.

Roxas glanced over his shoulder, his eyes on his three friends. "Would you guys rather watch 'I Know What You Did Last Summer' or one of the 'Scream' movies?" he asked. It didn't matter to him which one they watched, because he was happy with either one.
