Fast Food Madness: The Epic Return

Sora laughed and brought up his arms to stop the barrage of chocolate chips. "I might end up trying to catch them in my mouth instead of avoid them," he confessed with a smirk.

 

Kairi giggled. "Fine with me," she admitted with a smile. "It's less for me to clean up." She then proceeded to toss the remaining chocolate chips Sora's way, all while holding the lid in front of her in preparation.

 

"Hey!" Sora shouted, raising his arms again to block the chocolate chips. Knowing his luck, he probably would have had one hit him in the eye before he actually caught one in his mouth. He looked at the chocolate on the ground, a sad look in his eye. All that chocolate...wasted....

 

Kairi reached into the bag of chocolate chips while things were a little calmer. "You know, we still have to make the cookie dough," she stated. She then popped a few chips into her mouth, chewing. "Don't wanna run out of ingredients." However, Kairi continued the food fight, tossing more chips at Sora, but not as hard.

 

Sora laughed and scooped a cup full of flour. "Yeah, I don't think that's gonna happen," he said with a wide grin. Not only would they never get it done, but he was sure they would run out of ingredients. He started forward, knowing he had to be close to Kairi to get it past her "shield".

 

"Oh?" Kairi said, backing up when she saw Sora coming toward her. "You don't want to lick the spoon, Mr. Puppy-Pout?" She giggled lightly, lifting the lid a little to protect herself for incoming aim.

 

Sora opened his mouth to reply when he felt his foot slip on something; the very thing that had started their troubles, the egg he had cracked. He released the cup of flour and reached for the island counter to catch himself, but instead he grabbed the edge of the bowl. He felt his eyes widen when the bowl somehow flipped off the table and landed upside-down on his head, the brunet sitting on the sticky ground with a gooey mess in his hair.

 

Kairi gasped but then stared at Sora, looking at him on the floor. She brought her fist to her mouth, her hand still full of chips, trying to stifle her laughter. But with the look on Sora's face and the bowl on top of his head, it was hard not to laugh. Kairi closed her eyes as she started laughing, the situation humorous.

 

Sora felt the goo oozing out of the bowl and he didn't bother removing the bowl, knowing that there was no way he could salvage his hair without a full shower. He grinned sheepishly, bringing up a hand to wipe at some of the dough that would have fallen into his eyes.

 

Kairi walked over toward Sora, her giggles softening some. She knelt down in front of him, a sympathetic yet amused smile on her face. Finding this time suitable, she placed the lid down next to her and reached into the palm full of chocolate chips. With a small chuckle she placed a chocolate chip on his nose. "There. Now you're a complete cookie," she stated with a grin.

 

Sora grinned at Kairi, a few chuckles leaving his lips when the chocolate chip stuck to his nose. "Kaiwi," he whined, bringing on the puppy-dog look one more time. He didn't know what brought that up again, but it seemed appropriate.

 

Kairi's smile softened as she wiped some of the flour off Sora's face with the tips of two of her fingers. "Adorable, as always," she admitted, her eyes finding the ocean blue she loved. Even in this mess, Sora was still very cute, especially with the addition of his pout.

 

Sora felt himself blush at Kairi's comment, a few shy chuckles leaving him. He would have run a hand over the back of his hair, but with the bowl still on his head, that was impossible.

 

Kairi simply smiled at Sora's reaction, the girl resting her hands on her knees. "I guess we're giving up on the cookies, huh?" she said, tilting her head to the side with a small laugh. By the looks of her kitchen, she was going to say yes.

 

Sora grinned sheepishly, eyes wandering around the area behind Kairi. Thing's looked pretty dirty, and now that all the cookie dough was in his hair.... "I guess we don't have any other choice but to stop," he said with a chuckle.

 

Kairi nodded and lifted her hand, grabbing onto the bowl and pulling it from Sora's hair. She began to chuckle again when she saw the mess on his head, but she softened her laughter and smiled. "We should probably clean the kitchen first," she suggested gently. "It's messier than we are."

 

"You sure about that?" Sora asked with a grin, feeling the gooey substance in the depths of his hair. He felt extremely dirty, and he was sure he looked that way, too.

 

Kairi looked around the kitchen, then at Sora, and finally down at herself. "Eh, maybe not," she admitted, her gaze finding Sora again. His hair was a gooey mess now, but her head was red and white, from her natural color and the mix of flour.

 

Sora chuckled and set a hand on the ground, starting to push himself up to his feet. "Just one thing before we clean up..." he started, his blue eyes finding Kairi's the moment he was fully upright.

 

"Oh?" Kairi asked, tilting her head to the side a little before she stood up as well. She was clueless as to what Sora was referring to.
