Fast Food Madness: The Epic Return

Sora laughed and bent down on his side of the island, a grin on his lips. Oh, he was definitely gonna let Kairi have it. He scooped the measuring cup in the flour, momentarily wondering if there was any other ammunition he could use.

 

Kairi sat on the floor for a minute, wondering if there was anything sneaky she could do to get back at Sora. She looked at the butter and spoon in her hand and then around the corner of the island. Yeah, she could sneak around the opposite corner he was on and get him that way. She could only do it if she was extremely quiet, though; Sora did have trained ears after all.

 

Sora stood up again and leaned over the island, pouring the cup full of flour over Kairi's head. He smirked; apparently she had been thinking instead of preparing herself to take action. That was never a smart move when going against the brunet.

 

Kairi closed her eyes and frowned, sighing. When she opened her eyes, she saw that her breath had been one white cloud. Yup. This was definitely war. Sora was done for.

 

Sora grinned and hurriedly went back to his position behind the island. He had to find something else to use....Eggs? No, too dangerous. Baking Soda? Not enough of it. He turned his eyes to the sink. Could he get the water hose...?

 

Kairi pushed herself up, giving up on the butter and spoon. That wasn't doing her any good. So she stood up and turned around to face where Sora should have been. She then looked around the counter for something to use, but only found things small. She needed something that would come in greater amounts... But what? Her eyes darted around the kitchen, hoping for something she could use. Meanwhile, she was going to get back just a tiny bit. She grabbed a handful of brown sugar and used it against Sora, putting it in his hair.

 

"Kairi!" Sora exclaimed in shock, feeling her put the brown sugar in his spiky hair. He hadn't expected her to lean over the island and be able to reach him where he knelt, but apparently he had been wrong.

 

Kairi started laughing playfully, the girl making her way around the island to the sink to grab some protection. She reached into the sink and grabbed the lid to the pot she had been using for the noodles, prepared to use it as a shield if need be.

 

Sora scowled and rose to his feet, looking at the girl by the sink. He couldn't get the nozzle now, so that plan was out the window. What was he going to do now...?

 

Kairi saw the look on Sora's face and smirked. "What is it? Did you lose something?" she teased lightly, holding the lid slightly in front of her face in case he tried anything.

 

"Yeah...my back-up plan," Sora confessed with a weak smile. He kept the flour on the counter next to him in case he needed it, but how was Kairi going to attack him when she was so busy defending herself with a lid?

 

"Oh?" Kairi said, raising her eyebrows. "And what would that be?" She was quite curious under her playful banter. She was kind of...without a weapon, but she did have a shield to help her out...

 

Sora shook his head, a smirk appearing on his lips. "Not telling," he said simply, folding his arms across his chest.

 

Kairi arched an eyebrow, lowering the lid a little. "...Should I be worried?" she asked softly, truly serious now. Honestly, she was kind of scared.

 

Sora uncrossed his arms, surprised by Kairi's tone of voice. "Worried?" he repeat, confused. Why would she have to be worried in a fun food fight? "Only about this!" he said, grabbing a handful of flour and throwing it at Kairi right away.

 

Kairi squealed, lifting the lid just in time to block it from hitting her face. However, she looked down and noticed some got on her black apron. "See! I knew I was supposed to be afraid of something!" she cried, moving over to the island and grabbing some brown sugar again, tossing it at Sora.

 

Sora raised his arms and blocked a chunk of brown sugar, a few laughs leaving his lips as he did. "It's not over yet!" he cried, reaching for some more flour.

 

Kairi knew she was a mess so far, and she kind of regretted not grabbing the flour while she could have. It seemed to be causing the most damage, especially to her. Compared to Kairi, Sora was pretty much spotless. It made her laugh a little as she reached for the chocolate chips this time.

 

Sora flung some flour and Kairi, but not without noticing what she was going for first. "Chocolate chips?!" he said in wonder, his eyes wide. Why'd those have to go to waste...?

 

Kairi laughed, blocking some of the flour as she grabbed a handful of the chips. "You gonna stop me from using them, Sora?" she teased lightly. She then chucked half of the amount in her hand at him. "They are the only ingredient that hasn't been used yet, you know."
