Fast Food Madness: The Epic Return V2

Kairi shook her head as she lifted her eyes to Sora. "No thanks," she said. She was hungry, but she didn't have to eat right now.

Roxas nodded slightly, aware of how empty his stomach was. "Sure," he said, not really caring. Sora could bring him chips this early in the morning and he'd still eat them.

 

Sora nodded, turning to glance at Roxas when he heard his friend's answer. "Alright. Be right back," he said, walking a few steps forward before he went through the living room doorway and into the hall.

 

Once Sora was gone, Roxas turned his sight back to Namine. He lightly brushed a few bangs out of her eyes, but otherwise let her be. He was happy she was sleeping peacefully; he wanted her to get some rest.

 

Sora searched through the cabinets until he found where Namine kept breakfast, the brunet finding a box of poptarts. Perfect, he thought, reaching in and grabbing two pouches. He always enjoyed this food, so that was one good thing about his selection. This would be something easy for Roxas to eat as well, since it didn't require two hands.

 

Roxas let his gaze return to the basketball game after a minute, still holding Namine close. He watched as the team he favored shot a three-pointer and scored, the action attracting the blond's attention easily.

 

After a few minutes, Sora returned to the living room, a pouch in either hand as he came into the room. He turned his head and saw where his friend was sitting, so he headed over and stopped in front of him. "Here," he said quietly, holding it for him to take.

 

Roxas used his free hand to take the item from Sora, seeing that it was a small bag of poptarts. "Thanks," he said, thinking that once he got them in his mouth, they were going to be delicious. He just had to be careful not to wake up Namine

 

"Yup," Sora said, nodding once in response. He turned around and started towards his own seat, sitting next to Kairi on the couch once again and facing the television.

 

Roxas focused on getting the pouch of poptarts open, managing to after a small minute using only one hand. He looked to Namine, making sure he hadn't woken her up before he lifted the poptarts to his mouth, eating the two at one time.

 

Namine slept on, not aware that Roxas had made any movements or that he was now stuffing poptarts into his mouth. She was very tired, though she didn't know why that was. However, she felt no pressure to wake up, the air around her light.

 

Roxas continued eating his poptarts, recognizing at the first bite that they were his favorite flavor. Namine would have that kind, of course. The thought made his day a little brighter as he focused on the game on the screen, still chewing.

 

Sora finished his first poptart in only a minute or two, the brunet hungry since he hadn't eaten yet that morning. The flavor was good, and it woke up his taste buds.

 

Roxas was a little disappointed when he realized his food was already gone, the boy holding the empty package in his hand as he chewed on the last bite. Oh well, it was good while it lasted.

 

A minute later, Sora finished his second poptart, the brunet content now that he had eaten something. He exhaled a breath and leaned back into the couch more, not having the desire to eat any more food at that moment.

 

Roxas exhlaed a soft breath, holding the wrapper in his hand as he continued to watch the sports channel on the T.V. He lightly moved his other hand, rubbing over the fabric covering Namine's upper arm. It was a lazy morning, but he was somehow okay with that.

 

After about forty-five minutes, Namine became aware of muffled voices in the room. She didn't recognize the voices, though, so she assumed that it was the television. The television? Why is the TV on? she thought tiredly, the girl confused because of her sleepiness.

 

Kairi had her legs up on the couch once more, hugging them to her chest as she continued to watch the game. She was actually pretty interested, even if it was almost over. She normally didn't watch sports unless the boys were over, which explained why she was watching it now.

 

Namine snuggled her head against Roxas's shoulder, a soft breath leaving her lips as the noises became more clear. It sounded like sports to her, which made sense, considering that the boys were over. Wait, the boys are over, and I'm still sleeping?!

Sora leaned forward on the couch, petting Ty while keeping his eyes on the TV screen. It was a good game, and he wasn't going to take his eyes off screen and miss anything.

 

Roxas watched the game with interest, seeing things had just gotten good a few minutes ago. He felt Namine move and the turned his head toward her a little bit, but he didn't look away. He continued his motion against her upper arm subconciously, eyes stuck on the screen.

 

Namine exhaled a breath through her nose, aware that Roxas was running his hand over her arm. The motion only encouraged her to fall back asleep, and for a split second, she gave in to the desire and stopped fighting slumber. However, her previous thought about her company brought her out of it, the girl feeling the need to wake up because her friends were over.
