Eclipse: The City of Dreams

jecht raised his right arm and aura surrounded it when the aura had gone his hand was a three fingered dragon claw
"like i said my curse"
jecht turned to her
"you see in my right eye there is a demon a dragon to be more precise
from it i gain my strength but every so often i lose control of it and it takes over my body
that day what the people were running from" jecht looked away "was me"
jechts hand returned to normal
"you dad knows that is why he doesnt trust me"

 

She felt a small pain in her arm where the three marks were. She whimpered and looked as they glowed red, then back to normal. She looked up at Jecht and frowned. She felt like she didn't know what to do anymore.

"So, the day I got amnesia, was the day I lost you, and the day I got these scars," she said her voice breaking. She sighed in a sobbing way.

"Just tell me this," she said almost to a crying point. She looked up at stared at him strongly. Nothing could bring her down right now, and she wanted answers.

"Jecht, what happened exactly that day. Why don't I remember anything... What happened to make me forget? What hurt me and made me hit my head?....... I think I know the answer, but i still need to know. I cannot stand that I have been lied to after all these years!" she yelled as she started crying. She kept her hands up to her face and hid her eyes as she started bawling.

 

"i cant explain why you forgot .....maybe you chose to because you felt betrayed but i
tell you now i didnt mean to when i came to i looked for you and when i found you i...i ..
was horrified at what id done that i ran"
tears were in jechts eyes now
" i hated myself for what id done i didnt want to think about it but i couldnt so i remembered our promise and came here looking for you but i couldnt as hard as i did i never found you ......ill understand if you hate me"

 

She walked closer and put her hand on his arm pulling him towards her and into a hug. She put her arms around his waist and held him as close as she could get him.

"Jecht, I could never hate you...If I made a promise, then I'll stick to it. I won't ever abandon you, and I'll aways be here. I know that your curse is harmful, but i'll take it. I don't want you any other way but to just be yourself. I know you might not, but I really do love you. I feel passion for you. Like a great quote 'A rose, called by any other name would smell just as sweet'. that is how I feel about you Jecht, and no matter what I'll always be here and I'll accept it," she said tears running down her face. She looked down and tried to think more.

 

Shigiku kept running down the street, as fast as she could. She felt sweat run down her forehead and the cool breeze blow against her face. She smiled as she enjoyed the running... a moment of quiet relaxation... but then her smile slowly faded as she stopped running, approaching the old brick building slowly... her home. At least she used to call it her home... she wasn't sure what to call it now... She gently jerked the doorhandle and the door slowly creaked open, allowing her to step into the house, shutting the door behind her. She began to walk towards her room, but stop walking by the stairs, gripping the railway tightly as she turned her head to face to direction of the kitchen. Mama... she thought and bit her lip, trying not to cry.

She continued to stare towards the kitchen for a bit, frozen. She couldn't seem to make her body move and go up the stairs to her room... it seemed as though something was beckoning her to go into the kitchen... but she knew that was where her mother was... and she really didn't want to... But right when she was about to continue to her room, she heard a movement in the kitchen and froze, a chill running down her spine. Somebody was in there. Who could it be...? she thought, her eyes wide and a cold sweat running down her forehead as she started to feel the fear rise up in her chest. She wasn't sure what to do... she was frozen...

 

Kiara tried to think. What was she forgetting. He was here now, but still something wasn't right. She couldn't think straight and she was very tired. What was it? What could be missing. She tried to think harder. What was it!?

Suddenly, she remembered.
"Shigiku," she said softly in a shrieking whisper.

"I have to find Shigiku!" she said frightened. She ran away from him and out of her room. She ran as fast as she could. She felt very tired, but she couldn't leave that girl out in the world. She ran out of the door as fast as she could and ran into Terrence. She ran down the long road trying to get to Lexicon for a shortcut to Greenwood.

 

Shigiku felt a sharp pain in her side as she grew more frightened. She didn't know who it could be... Silently, she tried to sneak back to her room so that whoever it was didn't notice her... but she ended up stepping on a loose floorboard.

Creeeeeaaaaakkkk...

She suddenly froze when the floorboard made a loud noise, a cold sweat running down the back of her head. She turned to look at the kitchen again, the noise stopping. She soon heard footsteps... they got louder and louder as whoever it was got closer. Her eyes widened as somebody turned the corner and stared straight at her, tears forming in her eyes. Who is this? What's going on?! she thought and the guy started to walk towards her. He had a black ski mask on and Shigiku was frightened. She turned around and was about to run when the guy suddenly said "Freeze... don't move..." She slowly turned around and saw that he was holding a gun... and it was pointed at her. Her eyes widened and she stared at him, scared half to death. He started to walk towards her again until he was standing right in front of her. Without a word, he grabbed her by the wrist and pulled her to where he could have her in a head lock, holding the gun to her head, just in case she tried to run away again. Shigiku felt tears start to fall down her cheeks. What have I gotten myself into this time?! she thought.

 

Kiara ran and ran as fast as she could. She felt something wrong. What was going on with Shigiku? She didn't know but she would find out. She ran and ran as fast as she could. The street was maybe half a mile long, but she didn't care. She ran and ran as fast as she could. She was tired, very tired. Soon she made it to the gate and pushed herself through. She kicked the gate back to shut. She jumped over a fence and quickly ran into the small forest area until she got on the path. She continued to run. She was getting worried.

What if something was going wrong?

But she would scream if something was bad wouldn't she? Unless....she was too frightened. She finally made it out of the small area and just a small hundreds of meters away. She could see the house. She continued to run, as tired as she ever could be. She ran up the steps and at the door. She banged on it, hoping that she would be there.

"SHIKGIKU!" she shouted loudly pounding on the door. She prayed that she would be here, where else could she go?

 

Shigiku's eyes widened. "KIAR- ah!" She was about to yell Kiara's name but was interrupted when the man hit the gun against her head to make her be quiet. He continued to hold the gun to her head, standing there quietly. He was trying to think of what to do next, eyeing the door carefully. She had obviously heard that they were there... so she wouldn't go away. Shigiku was scared more than she had ever been in her entire life... she felt lightheaded and dizzy from it, too. Kiara... she thought, making sure she stayed awake.

 

jecht ran up behind her confused as to what was going on but he would help out
he suddenly stopped smelling the air realization hitting him like a bullet
"kiara stop i smell something this way"
he led her towards what appeared to be a shack he banged open the door
"this place smells of blood"

 

Kiara heard the shriek. she had the nerve to bust in and help, but what if something else was wrong? She didn't know what to do. She couldn't help but she ran back to the house.

She turned the knob and slowly opened the door. She stepped into the living room looking around.
"Shigiku?" she asked aloud. She walked around until she made it to the entrance of the kitchen. She looked in and saw the person holding the gun to Shigiku's head. Her eyes were wide and it seemed as if she was hit, because it looked like she had been in pain for a minute.
"What's going on?" she asked, her hands trembling.

 

jecht stepped forward sniffing the air
"i dont know who you are but you reak of human blood are you the one who killed this girls mother?"
jecht readed a aura orb in his hand stepping in front of kiara

 

Tears ran down Shigiku's cheeks as she saw Kiara come in. She didn't want her to get hurt, either... but what could she say? The man wouldn't let her speak... He just simpily stared at Kiara, pulling Shigiku closer, the gun still at her head. " I want revenge..." he said and her eyes widened. What is he talking about? Revenge for what? I don't even know him! Shigiku thought. The man made sure not to let go of his grip on her. "Don't move... or I'll shoot..." he said. Shigiku made a small whimper.

 

Kiara seemed so useless. What was it that he wanted.
"What do you mean revenge? What did that little girl ever do to you?" she asked, staying in her place. She didn't want to move and hurt Shigiku. She wouldn't know what to do if she was hurt. She wanted to embrace her and let her know that everything is okay.
"What does he want?" she thought. She thought for a moment, and obviously he could've been the one who killed her mother. She felt so horrible that she is confronting him.

 

Shigiku looked up at the man as he started to laugh. "You idiot... you actually think that this girl could ever do anything to me?" he asked. "Yeah right... it's not what she did... it's her parents..." he smirked. "Yes... I did kill her mother..." he said. Shigiku's eyes widened, the tears still streaming down her cheeks. I-It was... it was him?! she thought, staring down at the ground. He killed my mother... he murdered her... he ruined my life!

 

Kiara looked at Shigiku.
"Well, can you at least explain to me what happened? And why must you
hurt a small child, you are being a coward!" she shouted at the person.
She still felt bad. She had no clue what would happen. Someone's life was
in danger, and she didn't want to endanger anyone

 

Shigiku let out a small yell as he jabbed the gun against her head. "Shut up!" he shouted. "I don't need this! I don't have to explain anything to you!" he shouted at Kiara. "I'm doing this because I have to! Believe me! I don't usually just go around picking on kids for no reason..." He glared at her. "Now shut up and get out of my way!" he took the gun away from Shigiku's head for a brief moment and shot at Kiara's feet, trying not to hurt her but to scare her a bit. Then he quickly put the gun back to Shigiku's head. Why am I hesitating? I could just kill her now... he thought.

 

Kiara let out a shriek once he shot towards her. She felt her heart jump. Why was he doing this??

"Please, tell me, what happened. Why do you want to hurt an innocent small girl?" she asked, she stepped forward a few steps. She felt scared to be around him but she needed to do something to help Shigiku

The man took a step back with Shigiku. "Don't move another step or I'll shoot..." he said, but Shigiku could feel him shaking. Something's wrong... if he wants revenge... then why doesn't he kill me now? she thought, waiting for him to awnser. The man gripped the gun tightly, staring straight at Kiara. "This girl's parents..." he started. "They were murderers..." he said. Shigiku's eyes widened and she was suddenly filled with anger. Why would he say such a thing?! He was the murderer here! "No they weren't! You're lying!" she shouted at the man, not even aware of what she was doing. "Shut up!" the man shouted and hit her on the head with the gun... a bit harder than he had wanted to. She winced and felt a warm liquid run down her head... blood... but she didn't really care at the moment. She was anrgry that anybody would say something about her parents... especially that.

 

"Stop hurting her! She isn't doing anything to you!" she shouted at him.
She pulled out one of her hidden kunai on hr belt. She had two sets of 4 and
she was ready to use them.
"Let her go now! She is just a child!" she shouted, anger filling up in her.
She could smell the stench of her blood, and it drove her crazy to think
someone would hurt an innocent child.
