Eclipse: The City of Dreams

She nodded.
"I'm fine," She said standing up. She hadn't realized her own wounds, she was so worried of Shigiku at the time. She couldn't feel any of her wounds, but she could feel the trinkles of blood slowly going down her stomach, soaking in on her shirt. She stood up slowly.
"We need to get back," she said.

 

"You don't look fine..." Shigiku said, looking at the blood. It made her stomach churn just to see it. It was always painful for her to see somebody else hurt, and this time it was partially her fault... Her eyes widened and tears started to fall down her cheeks when she remembered her mother. Just lying there... she couldn't do anything to help her... Nothing at all. She stood up at looked at Kiara. "yeah..." She said. I don't ever want to lose her... I can't let what happened to my mom happen to her... If something happens, I'll do everything I can to help her...

 

Kiara took a deep breath. It hurt to just breath alone now. At first she couldn't feel the pain, but now, the intensity felt much more unbearable.
"I'm fine," she repeated, more clearly, and more seriously. She wasn't though, and she knew, she just couldn't let Shigiku worry. She stood up fully and walked towards the path holding her hand to her wound.
"We need to get out of here, I can sense Jacky coming back," she said. She felt a strong aura around, and knew who it was, and now wasn't really the best time for her to fight. If she could, she would, but at this time and place she couldn't, with her in pain and losing blood, and Shigiku, near the fate of death just by mere water. She wouldn't risk anything at all.

 

Shigiku's eyes widened a bit. He's coming back?! Great... Kiara isn't in any condition to fight... She thought but just continued to walk quickly with Kiara. We need to get back fast so that we can get her help for her wound... She covered her mouth as she coughed a bit. Looks like I'm gonna need to be the one protecting her... She thought and looked around her. Shiz... this is the worst possible time... She wiped away the tears that had been falling down her cheeks with the back of her hand.

 

Kiara kept walking. She noticed Shigiku was being even more quieter. She stopped walking and turned around to look at her. She smiled.
"Why are you being so quiet?" she asked. Other than the cough, she had been quiet. Wait....a cough? was she still in pain or something. She got closer.
"Shigiku, are you sure you're okay?' she asked a little worryingly.

 

Shigiku just gave her a small smile. "I'm alright... I'm just thinking about a few things..." She said. "Yeah... I'm fine..." She replied. "I'm actually more worried about you at the moment..." She said. A look of worry flashed across her face. I really hope she's okay... it looks painful... She thought. But there was something else on her mind as well. When I looked above the water, Jacky had her by her hair... I know that Kiara couldn't couldn't have gotten out by herself... Somebody had to help her, but who...? She thought of maybe asking Kiara who it was.

Laith kicked a small can down the alleyway. Sighing, he looked around. The alley was narrow and dimly lit. One street lamp was flickering on and off. "Hey kid, got any money," said a gruff voice. Crap, double crap. How could I be so stupid. I should have known. Oh well. I guess i have to fight. Slowly he swivled to face the man. "No, I'm sorry. I was on my way to go get something though. I'm just as poor as you are," he said firmly. The man shrugged. "Oh well, it should be fun to beat you up anyway." Suddenly two other men stepped out from the shadows of the walls of the alley. Laith swallowed his rising panic. Think on your feet Laith. THINK!! Suddenly he had an idea. He began to fake cough, and dropped to his knees. The man approached him and when he was near enough, Laith shot up and kicked him below the belt, so to speak. The man fell and the other two rushed him. He tried to run but one grabbed him. Laith bit the man hard and he dropped him, cursing loudly. Laith ran and didn't look back. "I gotta sleep on those rich peoples' roofs tonight so they can't find me. He raced out of the poor district and into the woods. As he ran, he began to pant. "Aww...crap.I....can't....slow...down..," he said to himself as he gasped for air. He began controling it. Bringing it in through his nose and out through his mouth. "Better," he said to the trees, figuring that no one else was there.

BIC: Kiara continued to walk. She did wonder though. What was Shigiku thinking about? It was something that got on her mind. She continued walking, step by step, thinking herself of what Shigiku was thinking of. The drowning incident? The blood coughs? What was it. She took another try at thinking. Maybe....Shane? Maybe that's what she was thinking about. She wasn't sure. She parted her lips ready to tell Shigiku about Shane coming to help her, but she couldn't take in the breath to tell her. She felt that she couldn't breathe again. She wouldn't let Shigiku know though, She'd been in so much trouble and she didn't want her to worry more. But either wya she would know, because her face was turning reddish purple now. She put her hand up to her collarbone, rubbing it where her lungs branched off at. She felt them closed and she couldn't breathe at all.

 

Laith was still runnign when he heard a strange sound. he turned his head, which resulted in him slamming into atree. "owwe," he said rubbing his face. He perked as he heard the sound again and set off to investigate. He stepped into grove of trees and was shocked to find two girls. One was older and was an odd purple color. The other looked to be about his age. "Uhh hello," he said. As he looked at the older girl a thought came to his mind. She has what I have...wow she needs it NOW!! Quickly he dropped his pack and got out a bowl, water bottle, lighter, and picked up some stones. "Damn lighter," he cursed. He had learned it once when some goons were trying to mug him. He finally got the lighter heating up the rock. When he couldn't hold it any longer, because it was so hot, he dropped it into the, now filled, bucket of water. Steam rose from the bucket and he held it to the older girls face. "Sit down," he ordered and began heating other rocks, making more and more steam. His fingers would have turned black, were it not for them being so calloused. "Hang on, they will open up I swear."

 

kiara listened to the boy that came out of no where. She had no clue wo this person was, but he knew how to help her, like her father did earlier that day. She sat down and held her face over the steam, letting it soak into her lungs where her trachea was. The opened up slightly and allowed her to breath. The purplish color began to fade away and the steam was helping her lots. She put her arm down on the ground to hold her supposrt, she felt like laying down to take a nap she was exhausted.
"He's....coming," she said, coughing in between. She laid on the ground taking in more air and she clsoed her eyes, finally letting the tiredness get to her.

 

"He?"
He didn't have any time to wonder because the girl in front of him laid down and closed her eyes.
"Hey come on...awww CRAP," he said.
His temper flared and he turned. He sent a stick flying with a powerful kick and then turned back around. This is the princess alright, I sure of it. But how do I get her back to the palace. I guess there is no way around it. He squatted down beside her.
"Get on my back," he said, and stuck his arms out behind him.

 

Kiara shook her head. She didn't want to move at all, she was so tired. She keot her eyes closed and buried her face in her hair. She wasn't moving, she felt lazy and her muscles ached. She could feel the aura of him coming. It wasn't just about ten yards away.

Jacky made it to their resting spot, which is what he would've called it. He drew his sword and engulfed it with flames and he made a sinister snicker as he sent flashed of fire, making a large fire ring around them.
"I finally have her trapped in this state. Who are you!?" he yelled at the mysterious person, aiding Kiara.

 

Shigiku was a bit surprised when the boy came out of nowhere. "What's going on...?" She asked and saw that he had Kiara inhale some smoke. She was a bit worried. "Kiara... are you okay...?" She asked and then suddenly jumped when she laid down and closed her eyes. "Kiara!" She exclaimed and bent down beside her. She looked up at the stranger and stood in front of Kiara. "Leave her alone!" She shouted with her arms outstretched. She thought that the stranger had done something to her to make her drowsy, since she had seemed fine before. Suddenly, she let out a scream as the fire appeared. Oh, crap! She thought. Jacky!

 

"No I swear she is ok, I have the same condition and-"
He was cut off by Jacky.
"I SHOULD ASK YOU THE SAME QUESTION!!!"
He yelled back.. he puffed out his chest and tried to look big.
"Why don't you go away and leave the girls alone," he said, a warning in his voice.
This guy was big but Laith was small and fast. He had a chance to beat him. It was small but it was still a chance. He leaned fforward, bouncing slowly on the balls of his feet. He could just tell that this one would be harder than those other goons back in the alley. he couldn't be fooled that easily.

 

Jacky chuckled.
"Listen kid, No one and i mean NO ONE, scares me. I've not been scared of anything for 10 years, so don't even try, you're only wasting your time," he said. He swung his sword in the air again, making an even bigger fire.

Kiara felt the heat and smoke of the fire. It was hard to breathe enough as it was, but now smoke would only make it worse. The intensity of the heat was unbearable. She opened her eyes, almost blinded by the smoke in her face.
"Shigiku, run, please," she said, her eyes watering up. One, form the smoke, and two, she didn't want her hurt. .. SHe looked over at the other boy there. She felt him to be trusted.
"Protect Shigiku. If it comes down to me or her, always protect her," she said softly, then closed her eyes again.

 

He nodded to her.
"Don't worry princess, I'll get us out," he whispered to her.
As he turned back to face the pyromaniac he put on a mocking face.
"Yeah? And you think you are scary? Your just some firehead who thinks he owns the world. Thats not strength. And quit with the fire slashes you big show off. I'm sick of guys like you thinkinh they are SOOOO much better than everyone else!!You can go to HELL!!!"
He rushed Jacky and kicked at him.

 

"Kiara..." Shigiku said softly and felt tears start to form in her eyes. She clenched her fists and looked over at jacky, now angry... Angry that he kept picking on Kiara like this and trying to make her miserable... Why couldn't he just lay off for once?! Her eyes started to glow a bright pink color, as if she was falling into some sort of a trance, just like when they were back at the shelter... And when Shane had helped her. Immediately, a staff suddenly formed in her hands. it was made of a bright pink aura. She gripped it tightly and ran up to Jacky, shooting streaks of aura at him, wanting to injure him as much as possible. She wanted him to suffer... just like Kiara was. She wanted him to feel the pain that he was causing her...

 

Suddenly Laith stopped. It felt as though the world had stopped.
Come on let me out buddy. I'll help you.
Well I need all the help I can get so...
Laith squeezed his eyes shut and felt a tremor go through his body. When he opened his eyes again they were blood red. He had grown claws and fangs as well.
"Blood," he whispered.
His eyes locked on Jacky and suddenly he was behind him, delivering a powerful punch to his neck.
