Eclipse: The City of Dreams

Kiara nodded and put her other hand at the rope, soon giving them both rope burn. She winced and let out a scream in pain. She finally got a hold of the rope and she had tears falling down her face. Her hands hurt so bad, and it was hard to keep a hold of the rope. She slowly went down, wincing every time she moved her hand.
"You okay Shigiku?" she asked.

Jacky chuckled and threw Shane into the wall.
"that was a wrong move," he said pointing his sword at him.

 

For a second, Shigiku couldn't reply. She put one hand the her mouth and coughed up more blood, her chest hurting really badly now. She found that it was a bit hard to breathe, but not impossible. After she coughed she nodded. "Yeah... I'm okay..." She said. She saw that her hands were really burned. "Are you okay, though...?" She asked worridley. Then she looked up at where they had fallen from. It was so dark, that she couldn't see the end of it.

Shane winced as he hit the wall, and fell to the ground. When he tried to stand back up, he saw that Jacky had his sword pointed at him, but he looked at Jacky, looking to see if he had cut his neck like he had planned to.

 

Kiara noticed Shigiku had coughed up more blood. She kept climbing down until she felt the ground. SHe hdl on close to Shigiku.
"My hands are fine. I'm more worried about you" she said. She stomped a little on the ground until she heard the wood break, but not completely. She grabbed the hatch and opened it, climbing down a staircase. She walked on down the tunnel and saw a light at the end, that lead into Greenwood. She smiled and looked back at Shigiku.
"We're almost there," she said.

Jacky felt a warm liquid drop run down his throat. He put his hand up to it and chuckled.
"Well done. You just got yourself killed," he said sending a wave of fire towards him.

 

Shane smirked and jumped out of the way, getting a small burn. "So did you..." he said and chuckled. "There was poision on my blade..." He stood up. "You probably won't last much longer..."

Shigiku closed her eyes. "I'm fine..." She said. "But please, don't hurt yourself..." She opened her eyes and looked around. She squinted her eyes at the light. Nothing really scared her at the moment. The only thing that frightened her was jumping into that icy river and possibly drowning... She clung tightly to Kiara tightly. I don't know if I can do it...

 

Jack y laughed. Harder than he could've. It was rather hilarious to him.
"Poision?! You- you think POISION can kill me!?" he laughed harder. He stopped with a smile and a small chuckle. He wiped a tear from laughing so hard.
"Don't you know that my body harnesses fire? HEAT kills bacteria, germs, and poision. It may make me ill, but it won't KILL me," he laughed.

Kiara made it out of the tunnel and looked around as she saw the forest entrance. She ran into th forest and ran down the path towards the river.
"We're almost there," she said.

 

Shane smirked. "But we're still fighting, as well... Trust me, you'll be dead when we're done here..." He said and dashed forward at him, swinging his sword as hard as he could.

Shigiku sighed. "Great..." She muttered, clinging tightly to Kiara as the pain in her chest grew. She looked ahead at where they were walking, and she felt tears fill her eyes. She had a feeling inside of her and now she knew it was true. "K-Kiara..." She started. "I-I can't jump in the river..." She said.

 

Jacky chuckled.
"not anymore," he said and disappeared in a puff of smoke. The heat waves transported him to Terrence

Kiara kept running.
"Shigiku, you can jump," she said and finally made it at the back of the path at the river. She stood at the fast moving current.
"Shigiku, I'll jump in and save you, okay?" she said.

 

"Wait!" Shane shouted but Jacky had already disappeared. He fell forward.

Shigiku got off of Kiara and stood next to her, staring at the fast moving current. She swallowed hard. "I-I dunno..." She said. "W-Won't you get hurt...?" She asked and looked up at Kiara worridley. "I-I can't do it... I'll drown... And I'm too scared..." She felt the pain in her chest again and collapsed to her knees, coughing up blood. I'm gonna have to, aren't I...? She thought.

 

Shigiku, you don't have a choice. I'll protect you no matter what. Scream out if you can't do it okay? I'll be right here," she said, but then saw her fall to her knees. She didn't really want to risk her getting hurt, but without this, she would end up dying. She was loosing so much blood so fast. She didn't think she would make it.

Jacky chuckled and filled himself up with flames, getting rid of the poison. After that, he walked towards the forest entrance in Terrence. He headed for the river.

 

Tears fell down Shigiku's face. Slowly she stood up, looking at the river and then at Kiara. She nodded. "A-Alright..." She said and looked up at Kiara. She just stood there for a second before giving her a big hug. She felt like she would never see her again... Slowly, she walked up to the edge of the river and stared down into the water. Taking a deep breath, she jumped in, the icy water surrounding her budy and she became submerged. She couldn't breath, thought. When she tried to swim up to the surface, the current would drag her under. She kept trying to get above water desperately. I'm going to drown! She thought, but she didn't give up.

 

"Shigiku couldn't see Shigiku under the water. She became frightened. She told her to scream if she needed help, but now she realized that if she was under, there wouldn't be any possible way. She took a few steps back and ran towards the edge ready to jump in, until she felt something grab her hair and puller back into the ground.

"Where do you think you're going?" Jacky asked chuckling evilly. He took his sword and stabbed Kiara in her stomach, smiling with a cackle.

 

Shigiku was almost out of air now. She swam as hard as she could, trying to get to the surface, but it was really hard. the current was too fast for her. Suddenly, she was able to get above the surface. "HELP!!!" She shouted before the current dragged her under, but she was disappointed to see Jacky there with a hold on Kiara. Tears flowed from Shigiku's eyes. Somebody help me! I-I don't wanna die! She thought and then accidentially sucked in some water. She coughed a little before it filled her lungs and she became unconcious.

Shane suddenly came running up to the river. He knew he couldn't swim, but Jacky had a hold on kiara. Swiftly, he came up behind Jacky and swung at his hand, trying to make him let go of Kiara.

 

Jacky jumped back
"AGH! You again," he said then ran at him with his sword.

Kiara jumped up and held her hand over the stab wound. She couldn't feel anything in her stomach at the moment, But she ran and dived into the river. She felt the currents. It wasn't hard enough for her, but for a small 9 year old, it could be devastating. Kiara grabbed her with her right arm and held her close. She kicked off the bottom of the river finally breaking out of the water. She held on close to Shigiku as the current pulled her through rapids and finally into a clearing. The water was calm and shallow enough to stand in where it came up to her chest. She held Shigiku up out of the water and rushed her to the side. Once out, Kiara laid Shigiku down on the ground and kept her arms out so she could get oxygen. She put both her hands on her chest and pushed down hard enough to help her push water out, but not too hard to hurt her.

 

Shigiku coughed when Kiara pressed on her chest, but only a little water came out. She remained unconcious.

"You can't get rid of me that easily!" He shouted and ran up to Jacky, their swords clashing. He glanced over at Shigiku and Kiara. Come on, Kiara.. Please help her... He thought. I can't let either of them die... I'll do everything I can to protect them... Thank goodness I took sword lessons when I was younger...

 

Jacky made fire engulf his sword and he slashed at him.
"You ran away from them and now you're protecting them. You're not sure of anything are you? he asked cackling.

Kiara kept pushing on Shigiku's chest. Every time she did, she would huff out
"Breathe....Breath...Breath..." she kept saying that every time she pushed down.
"Shigiku wake up!" she shouted, tears still running down her face.

 

Shane ducked, trying to dodge the sword. "I didn't run away from them..." He said. "I'm always watching to make sure that they're okay... I just can't let Shigiku see me..." He tried attacking Jacky again. "But I can't let her get hurt, so I'll always be protecting her and Kiara..."

Shigiku didn't move for a second. Every time Kiara pressed down, nothing would happen. Shigiku remained motionless on the ground, her wet clothes clinging to her skin.

 

"Hmph, well then, seeing as Shigiku won't wake up, my job here is done," he said. Jacky chuckled, and disappeared from them, hiding in a remote location.

Kiara kept pushing down. She looked up at Shane.
"Shane! Come help! I can't get her to wake up!" she shouted. She looked down at Shigiku, tears rolling down her face.
"Shigiku......please," she thought.

 

When Jacky disappeared, Shane just glared at the spot he had been standing in. However, when he heard Kiara call for him, he shook his head and ran over to her. His eyes widened at Shigiku's unmoving body. He kneeled down next to Kiara. He tried to brainstorm. What can I do...?! He thought. Tears came to his eyes. I can't let her die... I have to help somehow... he thought. He looked at Kiara. "I-I don't know what we can do..." He said.

Suddenly, Shigiku coughed up alot of water. She had her eyes closed tight for a bit and her hands were closed tighty, but soon she relaxed, breathing normally. Her eyes slowly opened and she looked up at Kiara.

When Shane noticed that Shigiku coughed up alot of water, he knew that she'd be okay, so he quickly got up. "Please take care of her..." He said to Kiara and quickly ran off into the forest.

 

Kiara nodded and looked back down at Shigiku. She puled her up and hugged her comfortingly.
"Shigiku! You'er okay," she said said smiling. she was softly crying and she wiped away a few of her tears. She looked at her softly.
"Does your chest hurt anymore?" she asked, making sure that it wasn't hurting anymore.

 

Shane was hiding behind a tree and he smiled when he saw her wake up. "My work here is done..." He said quietly and ran off.

Shigiku blinked. "K-Kiara!" She said and hugged her tightly, tears falling down her cheeks. "I'm so glad you're okay! I saw Jacky a-and..." She suddely stopped talking and gasped, pulling away from her a little bit. Her eyes widened. "Y-You're hurt..." She said. She put her hand to her chest. "Just a little bit..." She said. It only hurt a little bit from having that much water in her lungs, but it was alot better than it had been.
