Eclipse: The City of Dreams

Kiara felt worried. She was so young. Something was wrong. But what was it? She couldn't think. She didn't know what was wrong, she couldn't help her. She felt useless.
"Shigiku!" she shouted. She put her hands on both her shoulders and shook her. Not too hard, but enough to get her attention.
"Shigiku, look at me! Tell me what's wrong!" she said. She was ready to yell her name until she felt some sort of burning slash across her back. She tried hard to keep her voice muffled from the frantic yell she wanted to let out.

Jacky stood in front of them all, his sword in his hand, burning.

"You never leave...do you?" Kiara said.

Jacky chuckled and pointed his sword towards them.
I'm not going after you anymore. I'm after the little girl you care so much about. You broke my heart, now i'll break yours," he said sneerfully.

Kiara's eyes got wide.
"Shigiku," she thought.

 

Shigiku felt Kiara shaking her shoulders and she opened her eyes, looking at her. She felt tears fall down her cheeks... The pain was almost unbearable. She knew that Kiara was saying something, but the insanely loud ringing made it impossible to hear her. "I-I can't hear you..." Shigiku said to Kiara and then let out a gasp as she turned to see Jacky. She let out a squeal when he pointed his sword at them. Please don't hurt Kiara... She thought and stared up at him, her eyes wide.

 

Kiara took a deep breath. She looked at Shigiku closely. HS ehugged her closely.
"It'll be okay!" she shouted.

Jacky scoffed, raising his blade up on the back of his shoulder. The fire didn't burn him.
"You're going to sit there and tell her it'll be okay, when I'm getting ready to kill the little brat?" he asked.

"You're not going to touch her," she said. She stood up and looked at Jacky as she stood in front of Shigiku.

"You need to get out more and stop defending her. Let her defend herself," he said.

"She can't right now, she's is in pain!" she shouted.

Jacky took the sword and swiped it through to air sending fire at the both of them.

Kiara took immediate action, picking Shigiku up straight and turning around, letting the fire burn her back. She wanted to keep Shigiku safe no matter what.

 

The ringing started to become a little softer and Shigiku could hear Kiara talking. She blinked as Kiara hugged her close and tears ran down her face. But when Jacky said he was going to kill her, her eyes widened and she was in complete shock. She couldn't do anything but watch as Kiara stood up in front of her. She let out a scream as the fire headed towards them, but was surprised to see that Kiara had taken the hit straight on. "K-Kiara..." She said. "A-Are you okay...?" Shigiku clenched her fists when she saw the burns on Kiara's back and she stood up, standing in front of her. "Stop it!" Shigiku shouted at Jacky. No matter what, she wouldn't let anybody else she cared about die... First it was her father, then her mother... She couldn't bear to see Kiara die... She was the only one that she had left. I'd rather die protecting the ones I love than living a life all alone...

 

"Does that displease you?" Jacky asked chuckling. He sent another wave of fire.

"Shigiku," she yelled, pulling her close back. She didn't want her hurt. All she could do was just take the fire. The burns that made her scream out, ready to just die. The burns tortured her, but she didn't care.
"Shigiku....get in the palace," she said, edgy while gritting her teeth. She felt the smoke brush along the burns and that felt like another set of fire coming back.
"GO!" she shouted to Shigiku, wanting to get her back to safety

Jacky chuckled again and walked forward as Kiara was turned around. He grabbed her hair and pulled her down to the ground.
"You've been a thorn in my side too long," he said softly. He looked at Shigiku.
"You want a turn?" he asked playfully, raising his flaming sword back behind on his shoulders.

 

Shigiku felt tears start to run down her cheeks. It pained her to see Kiara get hurt, all because of her. When she told her to run, Shigiku tugged on her hand. "You come with me!" She said. "I won't leave you!" But Kiara's hand slipped out of hers when Jacky pulled her to the ground. She felt fear and anger rise up inside of her. Anger... Because he was hurting the one she loved the most... The only one she had left. She clenched her fists and walked up to him, her fear diminishing within her anger. "Baka!" She shouted and kicked him in the shin as hard as she could. Even if it wouldn't seriously injure him, at least it would distract him for a bit.

 

Jacky felt the blow. He let out a painful yell and lifted his hand down to his knee, trying to ease the pain.
"You brat," he sneered as he tried to hit her.

Kiara stopped him though. She grabbed his hand and twisted his arm. She jumped up and flipped him over her shoulder. She then brushed her hair to the side with a sneerful glance. She looked back at Shigiku.
"Let's get in the palace," she said. She took Shigiku's hand and started running.

 

Shigiku closed her eyes tight as she thought Jacky would hit her but when she saw that she hadn't been hit, she peeked her eyes open and saw that Kiara had thrown him over her shoulder. She blinked as they started running into the palace. She looked back at Jacky and stuck her tounge out at him as they ran. It wasn't really necessary, but she felt she should do it anyways. Gripping Kiara's hand tightly, she used her other hand to wipe the tears from her face. I'm not gonna be weak anymore... She thought. I'm gonna learn to stand up for myself and keep me and Kiara safe...

 

Kiara looked back at Shigiku to make sure she was okay. She then looked back forward, trying to snicker at the fact she stuck her tongue out at him. She finally made it to her room, and locked to door as soon as they were both in. She ran over to the window to look outside. She saw he wasn't on the ground anymore where she left him. She shut her windows locking them. She hoped he gave up as she was about ready to. She turned back at Shigiku.
"You okay?' she asked.

 

Shigiku nodded. "Yeah... I'm alright..." She said. "Are you okay, though...?" She asked, worried about the burns on her back. Shigiku put her hands up to her head and rubbed her temples, the headache still there, but it wasn't as bad. However, she soon felt a rising pain in her chest and she covered her mouth as she coughed. But when she took her hand away from her mouth, she was surprised to see that there was blood on it. And the voice inside her head was back. Having fun...? It asked and she could hear laughing. No! Shigiku said. What are you doing to me?! Please stop it! I need to help Kiara! I can't deal with you right now!

 

Kiara took a deep breath.
"I'm fine," she smiled. She noticed that Shigiku had coughed, and seemed there was a bit of chest pain. She put her hand on Shigiku's forehead
"Hun are you sick?" she asked. She felt a little worried as she seemed a little uneasy. She saw the red blood spatted on her hand. She looked closer at her.
"Shigiku?!" she asked more worried.

 

In order for me to make this stop, you have to do something in exchange... The voice said. What is it?! Shigiku asked it. You have to jump into the river at the part it's flowing fastest at... That's the only way you can get rid of me... The voice said and laughed. Shigiku's eyes widened and a look of worry crossed her face. She had always been afraid of water... and she'd ESPECIALLY been afraid of the river... She coughed again and closed her eyes tight as she felt a pain in her chest. Then I have to jump in... But I can't with Jacky out there... She thought. Shigiku looked up at Kiara. "Somebody's messing with me..." She said as tears fell down her face.

 

She took one look and grabbed her hand. She was a little frightened.
"What do you mean?" she asked. She tried to think.
"Is it Jacky?" she asked irritated. Somehow she just felt like killing him. But it was impossible.
"Hmm, i don't know how Jacky would be able to do this. Is there a way to make it stop? If there is I'll do anything to help," she said softly with a smile.

 

Shigiku shook her head.
"No... It's not Jacky... I don't know who it is..." She said.
"But whoever it was said that he'd leave me alone if I jumped in the river... A-At the fastest flowing part..." She said, getting a bit frightened. She didn't want to go anywhere near that river... especially not at the part where it was flowing fastest. She couldn't swim, so she'd surely drown...
"H-He said it was the only way to get rid of him..." She said and looked down.
Well... If I can get rid of him, then I'll never have to go near that stupid river again... right? She thought and coughed again.

BIC: Kiara looked at her, listening to every word she had to say. Mentioning the river, she was a little upset about.
"Well, hun, if that is the only way, then try it..I'll be there to help you.. In case you can't get to the bank or something. I'll save you," she said still smiling. She heard a crash outside the doorway. She took a deep breath and walked to the door, She was afraid to open it. But when she did, she saw nothing there. Just a flowerpot shattered across the doorway.

 

OOC- actually, I'll be leaving this weekend on a trip for a week... ;_; But I'll see ya after that, hopefully! *hugs* <3 bye!

Shigiku was worried. "I-I'm afraid..." She said. "I-I'm afraid of water... I-I can't swim..." She felt tears falling down her cheeks. "I can't do it..." She looked at Kiara and then she heard a loud crash outside of the doorway. Her eyes widened as she looked towards the door. "Kiara... don't... It could be Jacky..." She whispered but then she found that there wasn't anything there but a broken flowerpot... "Oh..." She said, tilting her head.

 

jecht walked around looking at the pot he had knocked over
"you dad will definitly use this against me"

he looked over at Shigiku
"hey kid you ok?"

 

Kiara took a startled jump when she saw Jecht come out of no where, but she calmed herself down. She felt her nerves tense up in her back, and she let out a somewhat yelp at the b urns. She looked over at Shigiku and back at Jecht.
"She'll be fine..." she said. She sat down on her bed easily as she took her long sleeved shirt off, keeping the tank under it on. It had been burned through, and it was still on fire a little bit. She felt the burns but still didn't realize it was still barely on fire. The flames weren't big, and it was just the burnt start or end of a fire. She

 

jecht just stared at her feeling very unconfertable
"um kaira your shirt is shorta on fire there"

he poked at the back of her shirt
"and this is really awkward please change fast"

 

She chuckled softly, but when he poked at her back, she screamed out and jumped up.
"Oww!" she said, as she felt the burns get worse. She felt tears instantly from the reaction. She walked over to her Closet easily and pulled out a different tank. She walked into her walk in closet shutting the door changing into the other tank, which felt quite cool against the burns on her back. She opened the door with a big sigh as she looked back at Jecht. The tank was sleeveless with only straps and it was pure white.
"Happy?" she asked
