Eclipse: The City of Dreams

Shigiku fell down to her knees. She could feel the intense heat engulfing her. It began to make her feel dizzy. Ugh... now I know how kiara felt... she thought and winced as she could feel the flames nipping at her sides.

Shane looked worridley over at Shigiku as the flames started to get bigger and he looked down. "Well... Shigiku really looks up to her... and her mom just recently died... so Kiara's the only person she has left..."he said, looking back up. But what should I do...? There has to be some way to help her... maybe if I did what Brad did with Kiara... he looked over at Shigiku.

 

Jacky chuckled more.
"Like I said, when i take my leave. The fire will be gone...But a life will be taken," he said. He chuckled and tipped his nose once more with his thumb

Kiara opened her eyes and saw Blurriness. She still felt faint and dizzy. She tilted her head up, and felt her weight on someone strong. She saw a fire and someone in the middle of it. The fire was too big, but she noticed that Brad and Shane were standing in front of her. And she was on... Jacky!?!? She coughed and looked back at the flames. it was Shigiku. Kiara used her hand and punched Jacky in the face, making him drop her. She stood up and ran over next to Brad.

"Fools!" he shouted, rubbing his cheek once more. He snapped his fingers and made the fire even bigger!
He laughed and disappeared, off into his hideout.

Kiara looked back at the flames
"Shigiku!" she shouted out. She almost ran into the fire, but someone grabbed her waist and pulled her back

Brad kept her back.
"Kiara are you Crazy!?!?" he shouted at her

"Let me go! I have to get Shigiku!" she shouted trying to get out of Brad's clutches. She knew he wanted the best for her, but this wouldn't help at all.

 

Stand Up... A mysterious voice was talking to Aaron in his mind.
Stand Up, Warrior... The voice said again.
W...Warrior? What do you mean? Aaron asked the voice.
We Are Your Courage, Your Bravery, Your Emotions... The voice replied.
And I'm supposed to believe that? Aaron replied smugly

 

Shigiku coughed as the fire got bigger. She found it got harder to breath every time. Squinting, she looked aroun and tried to see through the blaze, but her vision was blurred. She hugged her knees and stayed as far away from the flames as possible. A tear ran down her cheek. I'm scared... she thought and closed her eyes. Mommy...

Shane saw Brad hold Kiara back and then he looked at the flames. Without thinking, he quickly dashed forward and threw himself through the flames, holding his hands in front of his face so that he wouldn't get burned as much. But he had still gotten hurt pretty badly. However, he didn't stop there. He threw his arms around Shigiku and used his body to cover her, protecting her from the harsh flames while he tried to think of what to do next.

 

"Shane!" Brad called out. He let go of Kiara.
"Kiara, stay here, I'll go help them," he said.

"Okay, I'll stay right here," she said. She watched as Brad ran over next to the Fire. It was hard staying that close to it, but he had an idea.

"Shane! I'll swipe my sword through the flames! It'll make an air pocket so Grab Shigiku and get out of there!" he shouted. He took his sword and swung it against the fire a few times, making a huge gap in the flames.

 

As You Mature Warrior... We Will Endow You With The Secrets Of Your Power... The mysterious voice said to Aaron.
What? You got to be kidding me... Aaron said incredulously.
To Start You Off...We Will Give You The Ability To Use The Ice Fist... It replied.
Right...when I wake up, I can use Ice Fist...What the hell is Ice Fist? Aaron answered back.
When You Concentrate Your Ice Power Into Your Fist...It Will Be Engulfed With Ice Without You Getting Harmed, As Well You Should Also Know That The Ice Fist Is Harder Than Most Ice You Produce...You Could Break A Wall With This Ability... It replied, Now Rise And Use Your New Power...
Aaron stood up and looked at a nearby wall, "This had better work..." He clenched his fist and concentrated his energy into his fist

 

Shigiku felt Shane hugging her tight and she coughed again, closing her eyes. The heat was starting to get really intense. He's insane... why did he do that...?! she thought and then remembered Kiara. Maybe for the same reason Brad did... She felt really dizzy from the heat and soon she passed out.

"Okay!" Shane said and looked up, waiting for a gap to appear. When he saw one, her quickly tightened his grip on Shigiku and jumped through. They landed on the ground, rolling a little before coming to a stop. Shigiku was on top of him. "You okay...?" he asked, but then noticed she wasn't responding. "Shigiku...?!" He immediately sat up with her in his lap and looked down at her. He started to get a little worried.

 

"Shigiku!" Kiara called out. She ran over next to them, and she quickly skidded to a stop next to Shane. She sat down next to him and she looked at Shigiku. She put her hand on her cheek and started weeping.
"Shigiku," she said softly. She was thankful she was okay.
"Shane. Thank you," she said. She rubbed her eyes, which stung a little as she wanted to get rid of her tears.
"If anything happened to her, I wouldn't ever forgive myself," she said softly.

 

Aaron was surprised when he looked at his hand and his fist and part of his fore arm was engulfed by ice.
He could move his hand and his fingers individually.
He looked at the wall and thought to himself, If this can break that wall, I will start believing.
Aaron entered a stance where he was about to hit the wall.
He inhaled and then as he exhaled he shoved his fist through the wall breaking it into tons of pieces.
Aaron was surprised and thought aloud, "I believe now..."

 

Shane smiled. "No problem..." he said and looked down at Shigiku's sleeping body. Gently, he stroked her hair, smiling. I'm glad she's okay too... She must've been scared half to death... he thought and then coughed, his eyes watering a bit from the intense heat. He gently wiped his eyes and looked up at Kiara. "I'm glad to see that you're doing better..." he said and smiled.

Shigiku lay passed out in Shane's arms, breathing steadily. Every now and again she would cough, but other than that she didn't move. A tear was falling down her cheek.

 

Kiara smiled.
"Thank you," she said. She looked back down at Shigiku. She smiled and felt like she just wanted to scoop her up in her arms, hug her, and tell her everything would be okay... She saw the tears fall from her eyes. She took her hand and wiped it off her cheek.
"She is very lucky to have someone like you Shane. You're so protective of her," she said smiling. Kiara was greatful that she actually had someone. Ever since her mother's death, she really needed someone.

 

Shane smiled. "Yeah..." he said but then looked down at the ground. "But... she doesn't seem to like me too much..." he said. "I don't really blame her..." He felt a little sad inside. I don't really blame her for not liking me... since her mother just died, she's going through a really rough time... and I used to pick on her when we were really young... so she kind of thinks of me as a rival, i guess... And she's probably even more mad for me kissing her earlier... because of what happened last time I did that... He looked down at her. It'd probably be best if I go before she wakes up... I know Kiara will take good care of her... and I'll come back if something goes wrong...

 

Kiara smiled and patted his shoulder.
"Don't worry, I'm sure she likes you," She said. She then frowned as she could see that something was troubling him.
"Is something wrong?" she asked, feeling a little worried. She thought he would be happy that she was okay, but apparently something else must be up. She sat closer to him and she looked down at Shigiku.

 

Aaron pulled his fist back and his fist returned to normal.
He looked over at the others and saw that they were ok.
Aaron turned the other way and walked away from them.
He thought about asking if they were ok, but seeing them talking and no fire, he knew they were ok.
Aaron still wondered what the hell was going on though.

 

Shane smiled at her reassuring words, but he simpily stood up and handed Shigiku to Kiara. "I'm fine..." he said. "I just... forgot to do something... And I need to go..." he said and smiled at er. "Please take care of Shigiku..." But before he could hear anything Kiara said, he turned around and started running away.

Shigiku coughed again and made a troubled expression.

 

"But Shane-" she started to say, but saw he was already running off. She pulled Shigiku up in her arms and stood up, pulling her hair off her face.
She turned back at Brad.
"I need to take her back to the palace," she said.

Brad nodded.
"Yeah, maybe they can help her," he said smiling

Kiara smiled and nodded back.
"Okay then," she said. She turned and started walking down the street with Brad next to her.

"Want me to carry her? ou seem tired, and what you've been through, you surely need to rest," he said.

Kiara nodded and pulled Shigiku into his arms. She never felt so tired and weak but she was someone manageable.

 

The guy that Aaron stole the bread from appeared in front of him.

Aaron stepped back and thought, Oh Crap... Not him!!!

"Hey kid, you never paid for your bread...You know whta that means, right?" He slammed his fist into his palm

Aaron gulped, " Aww Crap..."

The guy started beating him up, kicking him in the sides,punching him in the face, stomping on his back, and threw him around.

 

Shane ran to the end of the street and turned the corner before stopping and leaning against a nearby wall, panting. I haven't quite gotten my strength back after helping her... he thought and put his hand to his head as he began to feel a bit lightheaded. He looked over and suddenly jumped up as he sw a guy beating up Aaron. "Hey! Knock it off!" he shouted at the guy and jumped on his back to get him away from Aaron.

Shigiku slowly opened her eyes, letting out a small groan as she looked up at Kiara. Where am I...? she wondered and saw Brad. She then looked around them, seeing that they were walking and that she was being carried. What's going on...? Ow! She winced as she felt a pain all over her body. She looked down to see burn marks. No wonder it hurts so badly... how did I get so injured?!

 

Kiara heard Shigiku and she looked over at her.
"Shigiku, be careful," she said, pulling her hair out of her face. She smiled and felt relieved that she was finally awake.
"You're pretty badly burned and you're in pretty bad shape," she said frowning. Brad saw the gates to the palace and shook his head
We're here," he said smiling. He then looked at Kiara
"Can you take her in? I know your father doesn't want me in the palace," he said.

Kiara nodded and pulled Shigiku into her arms. She opened the gate and walked through. The gates closed behind her.
"Okay Shigiku, we're almost there," she said smiling.

 

Aaron stood up and looked at Shane.
He said nothing and left limping.
Aaron was in a lot of pain and held his arm.
He was leaning against a wall to support himself as he went along.
Aaron saw the Palace Gate, but collapsed afterwards.
