Eclipse: The City of Dreams

Jacky looked over and guarded the punch with another sword that he pulled out of his coat. She chuckled.
"I'm guessing that you don't like guys who pick on princesses," he said chuckling. He raised his hand up and made the fire grow closer to Kiara. He had to chuckled at the sight, because he was just evil, and he loved to see it happen.

Kiara coughed even more as she felt the heat overwhelm her. She lied on the ground, ready to just collapse from the heat. She felt as if she were dying, and it was slow and painful. Why though? Why was this happening to her now? She was safe with Jecht then when she had to go.... She wasn't ever alone though. Jacky always stalked her. She shut her eyes finally zoning out of her conscious state.

 

Shigiku saw Kiara and Jacky nearby. Quickly, she ran over to Kiara and knelt beside her. "Kiara... are you okay...?" she asked, worry filling up inside of her.

Shane followed Shigiku and looked at Jacky. He then shifted his gaze towards Kiara who was on the ground, looking ill. What did he do to her...?! he thought and walked over, kneeling down next to her as well.

 

"Hey!!!" Aaron screamed to Kiara, "Don't you die on me woman!"
Aaron froze the ground under Jacky to try and make him slip.
He flipped over Jacky and tried attacking from behind.
All he was thinking was, Why am I doing this?
He had these thoughts of saving someone, but they never came true, yet.

 

Jacky finally fell to his knees. He huffed softly then laughed darkly.
"I can't ever fight her alone can I?" he asked, sneerfully. He stood up and flicked the tip of his nose with his thumb
"See you later kid," he said, snapping his fingers then disappearing in another blaze. The fire around Kiara got bigger, and harder to handle. IT seemed to already be touching her, but it was barely there


Kiara could feel the heat. She wanted it over as soon as possible. She couldn't hear anything else, other than the roar of the fire, and her thoughts.

 

Shigiku stepped back, away from the flames. She held her hand over her face. "Kiara!" she didn't know what she should do. Scanning her surroundings, she tried to find some sort of water to extinguish it, but there was none around.

Shane took a step back as well. Dang it... we have to get her out of there as quick as possible... he thought and watched as Jacky disappeared.

 

"What? Wait...WAIT!!!" Aaron tried grasping at him but to no avail.
In a desperate attempt, Aaron tried freezing the fire to the core.
All he could think was, What the hell is wrong with me? Why am I doing this?
All these questions he had no answers to, and yet he felt right doing it.
Aaron tried even harder to put out the fire.

 

Jacky transported himself to a building close by so he could watch. But he remained hidden as he stopped giving off aura to make himself visible. She snapped his fingers more and made the fire grow larger. He chuckled and knew that there was no chance of getting her.

Brad came running around, after trying to find Kiara. He saw the flames, and gasped at the shock. EH pulled his sword out and swung it at the fire, trying to make the ice power work, but there was too much heat and it melted.
"I can't get the damn sword to work," he shouted.

 

Shigiku stared at the fire. There's no way to get her out! unless... She looked back at Shane and then at the flames. Maybe if somebody went through the flames and quickly pulled her out... but they'd have to be able to withstand alot of heat and burns... She bit her lip. No... that might be too risky...

Shane still didn't see any water and tried to think of an idea.

 

Kiara could still hear the roar of the flames. She wanted to cry, but her eyes just wouldn't open and allow them. She felt the intense heat of the flames, and wanted to scream out that they were burning her. She wanted to move her body and just run out.

She wanted to do alot of things, but no. She was too weak. She was too useless. She didn't know why she would think bad of herself at a time like this, but now, she regretted herself to staying alone.

Brad bit his lip as he pulled his sword to the side. He saw the wind open up some room in the fire. He tried to think for a minute.

 

Shane could tell exactly what Shigiku had been thinking and he thought about it for a second, too. Well... perhaps this could work... but it's really risky... he then noticed the wind open up a bit of room in the fire. Maybe If I jumped through there really quickly... he tried to think fast.

Shigiku hesitated for a moment when she saw the air open up some room in the fire. But then she thought: How would I get back out with her.

Brad looked over at Shigiku and Shane. He knew they would be too young to get her out of there, but he could try himself.
"Don't worry kids, I'll get her out," Brad said. He ran towards the fire, slashing his sword creating air that made an entrance through the fire. He ran through and made it on the middle. He bent down and picked up Kiara and pulled her over his back and slung her over his shoulder. That was the easy part. Now came the hard part. The heat was unbearable. He wasn't surprised Kiara wasn't dead, but he could feel her heartbeat on his back. He sighed then slashed his sword a few times, making a larger air pocket. He finally ran through still swinging his sword. He made it out and hit the ground, thankfully on his stomach. HE pulled Kiara off his shoulder and put her on teh ground. He pulled her hair out of her eyes and took a deep breath, hoping she was okay.

 

Aaron stopped using his ice powers.
He was breathing heavily because he used it too much.
His mind wasn't generating any thoughts.
Aaron was about to leave but he collapsed in exhaustion.
He lay on the ground with his hood still.

 

Brad looked over at Aaron. HE hadn't known who he was but he went over to check on him. He felt his pulse real quick and he tried to think.
"Hmmm. Maybe he's tired," he said softly.

Jacky stood on the roof of the building and scoffed. He thought he would've had a right mind to go and kill her himself. but that wasn't the right way do things. Just be patient, and wait for her to be alone the next time.
Bust maybe he could do something to wear them all out. He chuckled and snapped his fingers, making balls and fire. He chuckled and sent them straight at Brad and Shigiku.

 

Shigiku looked at Brad worridley. It looked to her like it had hurt. He must be crazy! she thought but then smiled. Although I guess in this case it's a good thing... She was glad to see that Kiara was alright, but Aaron didn't seem to be doing so well. I hope he's okay... She walked over to Brad to check out him, but then noticed the fireballs that were coming at them. "Watch out!" she shouted and tugged Brad out of the way of an incoming fireball.

Shane walked up to Kiara and knelt beside her. It looks like she'll be okay for now... he thought and looked up at Brad. He's insane... Then he noticed Aaron. Is he okay...? He wanted to go see but he found it best to stay by Kiara in case something happened. He then blinked and jumped up as he saw the fireballs. He wouldn't be able to get there in time to help, though.

 

Brad looked around and saw Jacky on the roof.
"There!" he shouted showing the source of the fire. He took out his sword and ran towards the building. He jumped up quickly, but by the time he got there, Jacky was gone.
"What?" he asked himself. He looked around and noticed something different. The building was clearly deserted.

Jacky whistled loudly.
"Down here!" he shouted, suddenly beside Kiara. He chuckled, and pulled her up. HE threw her over his shoulder and he tipped the edge of his nose with his thumb.
"Well, hate to take and run, but i really need to go," he said chuckling.

 

Shigiku was about to stop Brad, because there was no point in taking off after him when there were people who were injured and need help. But she wasn't quick enough, and she took a step back as she suddenly saw Jacky with Kiara over his shoulder. How did he move so quickly?! she thought.

Shane was startled when Jacky was suddenly next to him and he had Kiara. Clenching his fists, Shane brought his arm back and punched Jacky in the face as hard as he could. "Let go of her!!" he shouted.

 

At the impact of Shane's punch, Jacky jumped back. He put his hand over his face and rubbed where Shane punched him.
"Heh, kid, you've got some nerve, and some strength," he said, a little angry. He made a large fire ring around Shigiku.
"It would be wise if you stay out of my way, or one of your friends, will end up hurt," he said sneerfully.

Brad jumped off the building and ran next to Shane.
"Damn, he won't quit," he thought.

Job/School: Unemployed, and out of school.
Class: Somewhere between Medium and Higher.
Appearance: 5'9", light skintone. Dark blue, almost violet-blue eyes. Light brown hair a little longer than average, and a bit messy. Wears a sweatshirt about the same color as his eyes most of the time, with faded black jeans. Underneath the sweatshirt is a black long sleeved shirt with a light blue T-shirt over it. He carries a sword with a brilliant white sheath with silver accents and a dark and light blue pattened handle wherever he goes.
Bio: He loves to help people and make new friends, and is pretty popular. He likes to practice swordfighting and is pretty good for his age.
History: He ran away from his home when the war started, narrowly avoiding the bloodloss. He found himself in a faraway village, where he lived for around nine years, learning necesary skills like cooking and fighting, before he returned to help rebuild his former home. He has been looking for his parents since he returned, but has had no luck. He lives with a rather wealthy man by the name of Robert (Minor character), who lost his wife and daughter, who was around Zach's age, in the war.
Other: He seems to have a strange ability to heal those in need, without noticing. He brushes it off as a coincidence.

Shigiku froze when the ring of fire suddenly surrounded her, her eyes wide. What's going on...? she thought and brought her arms in close to her, looking around, frightened.

Shane froze. Shigiku! Crap... he thought and clenched his fists, glaring at him hatefully. He looked at Kiara who was slung over his shoulder, and then looked at Shigiku. What should I do...? he thought. I've gotta help them... but how?

Jacky chuckled.
"Allow me to leave this place with Kiara, and once I am gone the fire around your girlfriend will disappear. Trust me, you can' get it better than that...
Besides, what use does this girl have that you would want to save her for?" Jacky asked sneerfully once more.


Brad pointed his blade at Jacky.
"Put her down now!" he shouted.

"Tsk Tsk," Jacky said moving his index finger in a position to which makes a bad mistake. She snapped his fingers and made the fire even bigger.
"Now, do as I say, and you can leave this place without getting burned alive," he said.
