I know there's already a thread about this game from 2010 -- and I even posted in it -- but as you can guess, it's very old, and I'm not sure what the rule is on bumping threads here.

Anyway, I use Action Replay Max and I've got a few code requests. I've already got the codes that come with ARM, which are max and infinite HP and MP, and I've got some custom codes I got from that old thread, which include: all seeds (Seed of Skill, Seed of Magic, etc.), Staff of Resurrection, Bunny Suit, Bunny Ears, Fishnet Stockings, Quick Max Tension Gain, and Enemies Always Drop Rare Items. However, I would like to expand.

Here are my requests, with notes for clarification if needed:

    Code Request Code Description
Equipment and items folder in the game's cheats menu Folder containing all existing equipment and items in the game (weapons, armor, accessories, items)
All Spells Have all spells before naturally learning them.
Controllable Monster Team Able to control your monster team inside or outside the Monster Arena.

    * Like if I sold an item that I could not get back, such as the Hero Spear, I could go into ARM and scroll through all the weapons, find spears, and find the Hero Spear. Weapons in the game include swords, spears, clubs, axes, scythes, whips, knifes, bows, and staffs. Or if I wanted to have, for example, four Timbrel of Tensions, which you can normally own two of. Items include things like medicinal herbs, Sage's Stone, etc.

    * You learn some spells with Jessica and Angelo as you level up their staffs. However, most spells characters learn at a certain level. For example, Angelo learns Multiheal at level 30. This code would make all spells available at any level before they -- the characters -- usually learn them (for example, at the beginning of the game and when you recruit Jessica (LV 9) and Angelo (LV 12)).

That's all I have for now, so thanks in advance.

Edit - 5:48 PM PDT: Forgot the first one. I found this on Code Junkies!

Now, I don't mind doing it manually, but is there a way to download the codes from the website onto ARM on my PS2?

The codes I found on Code Junkies aren't working for some reason. Obviously, I have them correct or it wouldn't have let me enter and save the codes.

I noticed, however, that the master codes between that and the Dragon Quest VIII game already listed in Action Replay Max are different. Could that mean something?

These don't look like Action Replay Max codes.

Can you convert them or refer me to a converter if you don't feel like doing it?

    Thanks.

The ones you converted were the ones I really I wanted. The others were sort of miscellaneous stuff.

it usually means your Master Code is wrong. these were used for the Codejunkies master code.

    From here, correct?

When I created a new game entry using that master code, the codes didn't work. I was able to input them, but when I started the game, the codes weren't applied. For example, if I chose maximum defense (999) on a character, I didn't get 999 defense.

oh, that explains a lot. those codes Skiller hacked were for the USA version, you're looking for PAL codes. those codes haven't been hacked for PAL unfortunately.

I do have the US version of the game, though.

    It's SLUS 21207 NTSC U/C, if that's any help.

Also, re-read my previous reply. I did some editing, but not sure if you saw it.

you're going to have to use all USA codes. none of the current codes on your cheat device will work if they were taken from the European website of Codejunkies. you should be able to get the proper codes in the US version of the website.

    ...

Why am I stupid? I just now noticed the "uk" at the beginning of the URL there.

    Thank you!

Hm. The US version only has the codes I already have on the disc. God knows why they have more codes for the UK version. D=

Think you could find or provide an "all characters" code for the following:

    • Max strength / attack
    • Max agility
    • Max resilience / defense
    • Max wisdom
