    Yes, let's totally ignore how the entire forest caught fire and probably killed a crap load of animals, yet a hunter shooting one deer is the biggest misfortune of the film.

    You know, if it's specific time of the day, and you just so happen to be in right mindset, the entire scene of Bambi's mom running off into the fog and hearing the gunshot shortly after, and hearing Bambi go "... Mother?" dumbfoundedly can actually be quite hilarious.
