Dick Clark Dies at 82

    I know the last few years he had been looking worse and worse. I hope this doesn't come off the wrong way, but I hope that heart attack did him in quick. The poor guy had been suffering long enough.

    ^ I know what you mean. My grandmother passed away a few weeks ago. COPD and other complications. The quality of life she was living really wasn't worth it near the end. It was sad, but also a relief when she did pass.

    Dick Clark was an American icon, and he will be sorely missed. Condolences to the wife/ex-wives and kids.

    ... I can't say I'm surprised. I know that sounds awful but everyone saw what bad shape he's been in these past few years.

    Regardless, he is (as Willis said) an icon and will definitely be missed. Seacrest is a good candidate to take over, but I don't think anyone could ever really replace him. :)

    I weep at his death, but am glad knowing he is no longer suffering.
    New years won't be as "Rockin" without him.
