curious on whether this is double posting..... but this is one of the chapters that i had a little trouble on typing, AND it has a little surprise at the end

~|Chapter Fourteen|~
A Deadly Disease and a Great Battle

I walked through the town with my hands in my pockets. I sighed as people from the island mingled with the townspeople like they were friends from the start. Miko and Myou had been introduced to some of the kids here and Melissa had found herself a few new admirers. I stepped out of the way as one of the little kids from the island ran passed me, running away from a little kid that lived here that now had the role of ‘it’. I watched them run away from each other and started walking again, slowly making my way to the city limits.

“Hey Bailey!†Christie shouted

She smiled and ran up to me,

“Hey Bai, whatcha up to?†she asked

I looked up at her,

“Hey Chris… nothing much, mostly trying to keep my distance from Cloud. If he sees me or the ship he’s gonna flip.â€

She chuckled a little,

“Yeah, that sounds like Cloud.†she laughed

I smiled at her; she looked at me and saw both the cut on my neck and the bandage,

“Oh ouch, what happened?â€

I laughed nervously and rubbed the back of my head

“Long story,â€

Christie smiled as she walked out of the town with me. I sighed as I looked ahead, seeing a sword sticking out of the ground. I smiled a little, seeing a wolf sitting next to it, staring towards us. So Zack WAS here. Christie stopped; I looked back at her,

“What’s wrong?†I asked

Christie stared at Zack and frowned

“Are we really going over there? For one thing a wolf is there, for another… its such a sad spot…â€

I smiled and turned back around, walking over to Zack. He smiled and stood up, jumping up and pouncing on me,

“Bailey!†Chris shouted

She reached a hand for me but stared when I laughed and got knocked down by him,

“Zack†I laughed

Christie stiffened when she heard what I called him. She looked down,

“So you named a wolf after Zack?...... I’m surprised that you would even name anything after him…. Wouldn’t it be too sad?....†she said

Zack sighed and walked over, sitting down in front of her. She swallowed and stared at him, I knew she was wondering if he would go mad and try and attack her

“So you would be too sad to hear my name again Chris?†he asked

Christie’s eye twitched as she starred at Zack,

“d-did he just talk?.....â€

I laughed and nodded,

“Don’t you recognize the voice though?†I asked

Christie looked at me and then looked down at the wolf turned man. He smiled

“Yeah Christina, don’t you recognize me?†he asked

Christie’s eyes widened,

“Z-Zack….â€

I smiled and Zack bowed sort of,

“Been a while huh?â€

Christie blinked and fell over,

“y-you’re a wolf!†She laughed hysterically

Zack and I laughed. I walked over to Christie and looked at her, smirking. She looked up at e and cocked her head then stared at the ground and smirked. I helped her up and we both looked at Zack. He blinked. We smiled at each other and jumped on Zack. Hugging him around the neck

“Yikes!†he shouted

We all laughed and I smiled. I was just like when Chris and I were younger, and yet it was different. It was still Zack, and we glomp attacked him like we used to, but Zack was different… very different. I sighed and looked down. I wonder if Zack will ever be the same?...... I was jolted from my thoughts when Zack nudged the arm with the bandages on it.

“What’s this?†he asked

I grabbed my arm,

“Oh this? It’ nothing. Just a small cut… that’s all…. No need to worry.†I said

I looked down and moved my arm a bit behind me. Zack was about to say something but he stood up and backed away to his old sword, staring at the motorcycle that was coming our way. I looked back and stood up quickly, looking at my brother as he stopped a bit away from Christie and I, his back facing us. He got off his bike and turned to us, looking at Chris and I before spotting the wolf. He narrowed his eyes. I looked back to see Zack back up a little and turn to his left to leave. I ran over and grabbed his scruff.

“Oh no you don’t. You knew that you would have to face him sooner or later. You can’t go Zack… Cloud misses you.†I said

Cloud frowned,

“Bailey, what did you call him?†he asked

I sighed and pulled Zack over to him. Zack looked up at Cloud with his ears folded back. I looked at Cloud.

“Hey Cloud…. Remember me?†Zack asked

Cloud stiffened, looking down at Zack.

“No… it- can’t be…….†He muttered,

Zack smiled a little,

“Well… it is…â€

Cloud fell to his knees, looking at Zack. Zack blinked in surprise as my brother hugged him. I smiled a little and walked over to them, I put an arm on my brother’s trembling shoulder. He looked up at me and slowly let go of Zack’s neck. He looked down.

“You’re really different…. But- as long as you’re back… that makes it alright.†He said

Zack smiled. I backed up as Cloud stood up, smiling like he did all the time a long time ago. I looked down and sighed,

“Guys, you know how I don’t really look like I know things until like a minute after you mention it…..†I asked

They looked at me and looked up, nodding.

“Well… there are only some things I remember…. If it means anything, I don’t even remember if I knew how to fight before I came to the islands… heck I didn’t even remember my birthday…..â€

Chris laughed a little. Cloud and Zack looked at me.

“Ok, so…. We just have to help you remember.†Christie said
I looked up at her and smiled a little,

“I guess,†I chuckled

I stiffened as a pain went through my arm. I clutched at my arm and backed up a bit more. The other three looked at me in concern.

“Bailey?.... you alright?†Christie asked

I looked at them and nodded. Why was it acting up now? Of all times it had to act up now.

“I’m fine. My arm just hurts a little. That’s all.†I said

“Bailey!â€

I frowned at the ground,

“Bailey answer me!†I heard Sora say

I put my finger on the button that tuned me in to my communicator.

“Sora what’s wrong? Did something happen?†I asked

I heard him sigh in relief

“No. Not yet. But there IS going to be something wrong. There are heartless coming towards the city from the east. There is already a bunch in the great maw. Yuffie and the others are on their way down to try and stop them but; I think you guys should come down too.†He said

My eyes narrowed,

“I’m on my way. Cloud and Christie are gonna come too, if Leon is worrying then tell him it’s fine, we’ll be there in a sec.†I said.

The others looked at me as I walked over to Cloud’s bike. I looked on it and found a button that I was happy Cloud didn’t get rid of.

“Bailey what’s going on?†Zack asked

I looked at them with a serious look.

“Heartless are going to get into the town. The others are on their way to try and stop them. Sora said that we need to help. Chris, you and Zack are traveling together. I’ll see you guys on the eastern side outside the gate.†I said

Christie and Zack tilted their heads and Cloud nodded to me. I pushed the button quickly before jumping on the bike and up in the air as my hoverboard shot up and caught me. Once my back foot touched the back of it, it shot towards the town. I looked down to see some of the people in the town running to get inside. I got to the eastern outskirt of the town and frowned when I saw heartless already just outside the broken wall. Tifa was trying to ward them off with Yuffie by her side. I looked to the left and threw my summoned blade and destroyed a heartless that was about to get Cid. He turned and held up a finger and I smiled in return. I looked up and frowned a bit when I saw a red blur a little further off. I looked closer and heard a gunshot. Vincent’s here?! I frowned and jumped down on top of a morning star that was about to body slam Aerith. I summoned my blade back to my hand and stabbed the morning star through its head.

“Ah, thanks Bailey†Aerith said

I nodded and jumped off, swiping at the heartless. Aerith ran over to Yuffie when she was running out of energy. Leon spotted me as he fought a few surveillance bots.

“Where is Christie?†he shouted, cutting away a heartless.

I smirked as I turned around and saw Zack and Christie. Close behind them was Cloud.

“Right on time.†I said.

Cloud went and helped Leon. Christie jumped off Zack and landed next to me. Zack ran over and destroyed a heartless that was about to attack Aerith. He looked at her and slowly a warm smile spread across her face. Some heartless circled around us; we looked at each other and nodded. We grabbed each others elbows as she summoned her blades. I swiped away some heartless and brought Christie around, letting her cut down the other sides heartless. I gasped as some white things started to attack along with the heartless. Some sort of dancer ones ‘ice skated’ over to us and circled around us,

“Heartless?†I asked,

“No, Nobodies,†Christie said

I frowned and thought back to when I had first heard of the prophecy. I had to fight some white creatures then too. I quickly got out my old keychain and clipped it on, changing Double Team back to Daylight’s Way. I tugged at the chain, making it longer. I held onto the chain and swung the blade next to me,

“Chris, Helicopter,†I said,

She looked at me and nodded. She knocked away some nobodies as they tried to get close as I swung the blade high over our heads. Once they regained themselves the nobodies all thrust towards us,

“Jump!†I shouted

Once I lowered the chain Christie jumped over it. The blade slashed all of the nobodies and they disappeared. Christie landed next to me and sighed, looking at me,

“Bai watch out!†she said,

I blinked and looked behind me just to get grabbed by Yazoo, Daylight’s Way falling out of my hand. Chris moved to get me but a mixture of Nobodies and heartless moved around her. I growled and bit Yazoo’s shoulder. He hissed in pain and was forced to drop me. I tumbled on the ground and quickly stood up, summoning my blade back to my hand. Yazoo looked at me once he landed on the ground,

“Please Bailey, I mean no harm, I was actually trying to keep you from getting hurt by the Heartless and Nobodies that Kadaj has sent. To show you that he misses you so.â€

I growled at Yazoo,

“There will be a world of hurt for you, Loz, and Kadaj. I don’t care if you are Riku’s older brothers. You threaten him you die.â€

Yazoo chuckled.

“Such big talk coming from a person who has not yet remembered how to fully fight.†He mocked

I bit my lip and stepped back, making him laugh a little more.

“but fear not Bailey, once Kadaj has you once again then there will be no reason for fight, for he and Maleficent are making a deal as we speak.â€

I growled and ran at Yazoo; he quickly pulls out his gun and deflected a strike that I threw at him, he grabbed my blade and pulled me close, to him, trying to get a hit in. I brought one hand away from my blade and hit him in his shoulder to try and get him away, my eyes widen

“again.†a boy said.

I huffed, trying to catch my breath

“But Sensei, I’m really tired, and I can’t hit you in the right spot.†I moaned

I was about 11; me and Chris were supposed to choose the subject we wanted. I chose the fighting subject with Braig as a teacher, Christie chose the medical and science subject with Ienzo as a teacher. She was the one with a quiet teacher and less active subject. While I was stupid enough to take the loudest teacher and the most active, not to mention complex and tiring subject that a kid can take. But I was tired of being weak, I know I was just a kid, but I wanted to help Cloud when he went off on a mission with Leon, I wanted to know that when I got older I could help protect him.

“That isn’t an excuse. If you quit then you’ll never get anywhere. Plus if you quit when you’re tired, then you will not be able to keep going in a fight that you have become breathless in. now, come at me again. And strike the pressure point in my shoulder.†Braig sensei said

I swallowed thickly and nodded, taking a breath and getting back into my fighting stance. He readied his staff and I ran at him. I dodged a blow from his staff and flipped around, he jabbed his staff forward and I used this chance to grab it. Once I did I pulled it out and made him fall towards me.

Now strike him in his pressure point.

I made my hand stiff and jabbed it into his left shoulder in the soft spot between the two bones. We remained there for what seemed like three hours before his arm fell limp. My eyes lit up and I smiled, he smiled down at me and we stepped away from each other. I clasped my hands together and bowed, breathing hard but smiling as wide as possibly human. He held up his movable hand and bowed back, smiling as he did, he stood up straight

“You gave me a good student Mrs. Strife.â€

I stood up and blinked, looking behind me to see my mom and Cloud,

“Mommy! Nii-sama!†I shouted with delight

“Goodness Bailey! You look like you were beaten to shreds!†Mother said in concern

I giggled and smiled as I closed my eyes,

“Yeah! It was rough, but fun!†I said

Braig smiled at me and looked up at my mom,

“She will be an excellent fighter one day, she has a strong will. I’m sure that anyone who crosses her path will be one scared guy.†He laughed

I giggled and smiled widely again. I jumped onto Cloud and he yelped but managed to stay standing,

“Just like Nii-sama!†I said happily

Cloud smiled at me,

Yazoo winced and put a tag on me then swiped at me with his gun. I gasped as my blade disappeared without me dismissing it and flipped away.

“That seal will prevent you from summoning your blade. And you can’t remove it yourself. You must have a mage do so.†Yazoo grunted.

I growled and darted after him. Jumping up when he tried to shoot my leg and shifting my weight in the air and flipping around when he tried to shoot me again. I landed on the ground in front of him and hit his gun into the air with my palm. He narrowed his eyes and jumped away when I stabbed at the air with my hand where his stomach was. I could tell he noticed the sudden change in attack style.

Cloud looked over to Christie and noticed she was alone. Where had Bailey gone?....

“Cloud!â€

He turned and swiped away a heartless before seeing Sora and Riku. Kairi going to help Aerith and try what Aerith had taught her.

“Where is Bailey?†Sora asked

Cloud opened his mouth to talk but was stopped when Christie pointed out where Bailey was. Leon noticed Christie and looked up along with Cloud, Sora, and Riku. Cloud’s Leon’s and Christie’s eyes all widened when they saw Bailey striking Yazoo’s pressure points in his arm, rendering it useless.

“She’s actually using that style…†Leon said

Cloud smiled,

“She must have remembered.†He said

Christie smiled widely. Sora and Riku blinked at each other then flipped around and destroyed heartless that were about to attack them.

I punched Yazoo hard in the stomach, making him fly back,

“It doesn’t really matter if I can’t use my blade. I can still pound you without it.†I said

I got into my fighting stance but winced and grabbed my arm, stumbling back against a rock.

“Why now?...†I muttered

Yazoo stood up and looked at me. I looked at my arm and removed my hand; sighing. I growled and stood up, running at Yazoo again. He chuckled and dodged me for a few seconds then grabbed the knot on the bandage. My eyes widened as he swung me around and waited for the bandage to rip. I was sent into the rock once the bandage ripped and I moaned. The bandage slipped off and Yazoo narrowed his eyes.

“Bailey!†Christie called

He looked down to see that most of the heartless were gone and there were no more coming.

“Well, it looks like there are no more Heartless or Nobodies for your friends to get caught up in. and that is my cue to leave. I hope I didn’t hurt you too much Bailey, my sincere apologies if I did.†He said

Yazoo bowed and then backed up, jumping off of the cliff and landing on his motorcycle. He rode off and I sneered in his direction. Christie, Cloud, Zack, Riku, and Sora all ran over to me while the others took care of the remainder of the Heartless and Nobodies. I quickly grabbed my arm and put it sort of behind me. Hoping they wouldn’t see.

“Bailey, you ok?†Christie asked

I got a sort of annoyed look,

“Yes, hearing a crack coming from my back is a good thing.†I said sarcastically

Christie gave a sort of fake smile.

“Sorry,â€

I tried to sit up but I couldn’t move. Christie used a potion on me. I nodded my thanks to her but stayed sitting down. I took a deep breath and looked up,

“Ugh, I hate those guys, Riku how did you get jerks as brothers?†I asked

“Hey, I didn’t even know that they were my brothers until a few days ago. Heck I didn’t even know them at all.†He said

I winced as my arm felt like it was being torn up by a heartless’ claws. I held in my pain and tightened my grip on my arm. Christie saw the bandage on the ground and picked it up,

“Your bandage came off; you want me to rewrap your arm for you?â€

I swallowed thickly and shook my head,

“No. I don’t need you to wrap it. I can wrap it myself…†I said.

Christie frowned and Cloud looked at me,

“Bailey, it’s kind of hard to wrap your own arm by yourself, what’s wrong.â€

I looked away. Cursing my arm in my head.

“Nothing is wrong… I’m just a little annoyed with Kadaj right now….â€

Cloud took the bandage from Christie and walked to me, kneeling down. I scooted away from him. Looking down and praying that he wouldn’t see. Cloud frowned and grabbed my arm.

“What are you hiding your arm fo-â€

I looked away as he stared at my arm. He, Zack, and Christie starred wide eyed at the scar on my arm that was from the Geostigma.

“Bailey…. Y-your arm… this is

I took my arm out of Cloud’s grip and covered my arm, looking away.

“I didn’t want you to worry…â€

I felt their saddened eyes look at me. Then looked up and saw how confused Sora and Riku were.

“I don’t get it, it just looks like a bruise to me, it will go away in time, I don’t see what you’re all worried about.†Sora said,

“Yeah, it can’t be that bad.†Riku said

I looked down at the ground with a mixture of emotions showing on my face. Cloud looked at the ground, a sort of angry expression on his face. Zack wasn’t saying anything either.

“You wouldn’t understand. On your islands there isn’t such a disease.â€

I looked up to see Vincent. He looked down at me. I swallowed and looked away. For some reason I can never look him in the eyes when something is wrong.

“It’s a disease?†Sora asked

Vincent nodded,

“And a deadly one at that. People with what we call Geostigma; get black scars that look sort of like bruises on their bodies. Wherever the scar is the victim has to go through massive pain in that area. Later on, the Disease can draw too much energy from the body; sometimes enough to keep the victim from moving, forcing them to spend their time in a bed or wheelchair. Eventually, the person’s immune system will wear down and the victim will die.â€

Riku and Sora starred wide eyed at Vincent then looked at me when I spoke up

“Sheesh you don’t have to make it sound so awful.†I said,

Riku looked down and tightened his fists. Sora got a look of anger and worry on his face,

“Why didn’t you tell us? Maybe we could have figured out a way to keep it from happening.â€

I sighed and my expression was sort of blank and normal.

“It’s no use, there isn’t a cure. This disease has been around for generations.†I said, “Dad had Geostigma and it couldn’t be helped. He died from it because no one could find a cure.â€

Sora frowned and clenched his fists,

“How can you talk about it without even a hint of pain or sadness in your voice? Our father died from this disease and now you have it. Do you really want to die?†he asked, his voice trembling with sadness,

I stood up and let my arms hang to my side,

“If I’m lucky I will die… then maybe Riku will be able to live…†I muttered

Everyone starred at me as I walked passed them. Riku scowled at the ground and looked away. A blank expression wouldn’t leave my face as I slid down the side of the cliff. Christie ran after me,

“Bailey!†she shouted

I felt tears form in my eyes but blinked them away. I saw my hoverboard and started to go over to it. Christie growled and ran after me,

“Bailey wait up!†she shouted

I closed my eyes tightly and shook my head

“Leave me alone!†I shouted

I ran for my hoverboard and picked it up, turning it on and jumping on. Christie grabbed my ankle and kept me from moving. I looked down at her and frowned sadly. She looked up at me and gently pulled at my ankle, telling me to come down. I looked away then looked at her again and jumped off the hoverboard. She put her hands on my shoulders and gave a reassuring smile. I couldn’t stop myself from letting some tears pass.

“Bai, it’s all right. It just surprised us, that’s all. It doesn’t mean you should run away from us. Everyone here, Aerith, Cloud, Vincent, Leon, me, even Sora and of course Riku, we’re all your family. So of course we’ll worry about you.†Chris said,

Tears flowed down my face and I looked down,

“Gomen….â€

Christie smiled and shook her head, hugging me,

“No need for apology.â€

I blankly looked forwards, tears streaming down my face. I slightly smiled to break the blank expression.

“You always did act like a sister to me….†I muttered

Chris and I stepped away and smiled at each other.

Everyone that didn’t already know about my Geostigma took it pretty hard. The girls tried to ignore it after the fact and the guys, especially Leon, kept bugging me about it; asking me if I would be ok and telling me that maybe I should stay home from now on to rest, try and get rid of the disease. Cloud disappeared, which I wasn’t really surprised with him. Vincent had disappeared too. Didn’t really know why or where. I helped Cid fix up the ship and Zack watched me. Riku had locked himself in the computer room with Ansem’s computer. Every time I tried and asked him something he wouldn’t answer… it made me feel even worse then I already was. Sora had been sitting on the other side of the hanger watching me; from time to time I looked back at him as I would come out from under the ship to fix something. It was really silent and very awkward for a while before Sora spoke out

“Hey Bailey, I have a question,â€

I looked at him then back at the ship and continued to work,

“What’s that?â€

He looked at me,

“How come you didn’t tell anyone?†he asked

“Well, I didn’t exactly know about it right away… only just after Morgana was gone did I notice the mark….†I said

He frowned,

“But that doesn’t answer my question, why didn’t you tell us?â€

I sighed,

“Because it isn’t exactly something you want to talk aboutâ€

“But if you did tell us you could have-â€

I glared at him

“Sora you’re being impossible!†I said

He frowned and looked down as I put a nut in my mouth since I had a lack of space to put it, a bolt in one hand and a wrench in the other.

“Sorry…..†he muttered sadly

I stopped working and kept my hand on a bot as the hand with my wrench fell to my side; I stared at the ground,

“Sora…†I said,

He looked at me as I was about to talk, but then at Vincent when he walked over, I looked at him,

“What’s up Vincent?†I asked

Vincent looked at me with warm eyes and a very slight, but real, smile.

“After your announcement to everyone I went to look something up in the library and found a way to get Zack to his normal form.â€

I nearly swallowed the nut that I held in my mouth and dropped the wrench, except I didn’t drop it in a good spot because I ended up jumping up and down holding my foot. Zack had frozen up and Sora looked majorly confused. I stared at Vincent after having put my foot don and straightening myself, taking the nut out of my mouth.

“y-you really know how?! He can change back?! He can be human?!â€

Great story! seriously, i love it ^^ My eyes are burning a bit from reading this whole thing in one night lol but i'd say it's pretty worth it. The story is so detailed! Sometimes the sentences run on a bit, but other than that this is awesome~

ok, this is annoying. i'm gonna post this and then start my new chapter because i'm stuck after this. its REALLY short just so you know, but here it is....

~|Chapter Fifteen|~
A Friend Returns


I had run off to get Cloud and Aerith as Sora went to get Christie and Merlin. Once we got all of them to Vincent, and he explained his idea and showed them the spell book, Aerith and Merlin started to work. Christie and Cloud were still dazed and I laughed.

I watched as Merlin and Aerith both chanted a spell. There was so much ink from the symbols around the spot where Zack was. Christie, Cloud and I stood a little ways from the symbols, all really nervous. Sora and the others waited outside, sometimes peeking inside. After Merlin and Aerith were finished chanting they each stood on opposite ends of the circle and held up their hands, white light illuminating from their hands. We all gasped as a bright light enveloped Zack as he tightened his eyes in apprehension and a fierce wind passed by all of us. Soon the white light started to form into the shape of a man. I started to recognize the shape as the shape of his black hair grew on his head, his muscular arms and gloved hands forming, his SOLDIER uniform becoming clear along with the buster sword on his back. A wide grin spread across my face as the light faded to reveal Zack in his human form. He sat up and shook his head, rubbing it with his hand,

“That didn’t help my head at all…..†he muttered

My grin grew wider as he froze and looked at his hand, a slight smile forming on his lips as he stretched his familiar hand. Everyone except Merlin jumped forwards and tackled Zack, all completely happy that he was back to his normal form that we had recognized. He yelped loudly when the weight of two teenagers, a grown man, and a grown woman all collapsed on him, but he had that normal wide grin that I hadn’t seen in a while

After that… interesting ordeal, I was finally fed up with Riku’s behavior and I walked up to Ansem’s lab, looking around at the destroyed room and walking through the doorway onto the translucent floor- that is, after I scared myself half to death because of it being translucent. I walked to the computer room and frowned when I saw Riku starring at the screen. I walked in and put my hand on his shoulder, making him jump. I frowned as he looked at me. He looked down.

“Bailey I-â€

I shook my head and made him turn and look at me

“Riku, there’s nothing you can do, you have to know that. All we can do is keep going. If we stop now then how will we be able to keep everything from going wrong?â€

Riku starred at me then looked down. I looked at him and smiled gently; he blinked and looked up as I hugged him.

“You worry too much you know that? Just be glad that it isn’t severe yet.â€

Riku sighed and hugged me back, tightly. We came back out and automatically fell asleep when we got back since it was so late. I was one of the first ones to get up, as usual, and I wandered off to the waterway again, just to think. Everything was going by way too quickly.

Seiretei’s Confusion: the True Enemy (part 1)

Ok, what I said about everything going quickly? Well, the next few days did NOT go quickly… but yesterday was really fun. After finding the first episode of Lucky Star and playing DDR, everyone had a lot of fun.

“So, how’s Kairi doing? She doing a good job on learning from you?†Sora asked Aerith

Aerith nodded and smiled. Seeing her smile made me smile as well. It always did. Kairi was smiling widely, also, next to Aerith, which I’m sure was from being praised by her teacher.

“Well that’s good! Maybe soon you’ll be good enough to use it in battle!†Sora said

Sora was happier then I would have thought him to be on this subject. I smiled and closed my eyes, laughing a little

“Or you could possibly become a mage yourself,†I said.

Aerith laughed a little and Kairi smiled

“I like that idea!†she chimed

Aerith sighed with a smile and shook her head

“Believe me, being a mage has its oddities,†She seemed amused by this topic

Kairi giggled and I jumped when Christie screamed at me to come over

“Christie! What was that for?!â€

She laughed and I muttered under my breath as I walked over. She smiled

“I’m actually gonna get to have fun! Nii-san is taking me on a mission with him! Isn’t it great?!â€

I stared at her and I felt like crying

“This is why you made me deaph…?†I asked

She smiled widely and laughed

“Yup, isn’t it great?!â€

“I hate you.†I muttered as I hung my head,

She laughed as Sora walked over, looking at Christie

“So you’re Leon’s sister?†he asked

Christie nodded as Leon walked in

“Yeah, she’s my sister all right, I don’t know anyone else who could be as big of a knucklehead like her†he smirked “with the exception of you and Bailey though.â€

Christie playfully smacked Leon on the arm, I pouted, and Sora put his hands on his hips

“Hey! What’s that supposed to mean?!†he said

Leon laughed and waved it off. He looked down at Chris and put his hand on her head

“Are you ready to leave?†he asked

She nodded then waved to me before walking with him to their ship. I sighed then looked at Sora

“Hey, have you seen Riku anywhere? I can’t find him.â€

Sora blinked and looked at me and bit his lip

“Yeah, he went with Vincent and Zack to take care of something.â€

I put my hand on my head.

“Great,†I muttered

I sighed then walked out with my hands in my pockets, Sora walking next to me with his hands behind his head. I looked at him

“By the way, how long had you known everyone here before now?â€

Sora looked up in thought before turning to me to answer

“Almost three years now,†he said

I looked ahead before jumping when I see a bright light. I turned to see Sora summoning his blade and a crown of light appear below his feet. A fierce wind flew around us and a keyhole appeared in the sky. I jumped when I heard a loud roar like that of a hollow and watched Sora jump back. He swung his keyblade and held it to the keyhole. A light shot towards the keyhole and an unlocking sound came from the keyhole as it disappeared. I frowned

“Looks like another world is calling for help,†I muttered

We headed towards the gummy hangers and I grabbed him by the hood of his jacket before he went to get Highwind. He blinked and looked at me in confusion

“Where exactly are you going Sora?†I asked

He pointed to highwind

“To the ship…â€

I shook my head and let go of his hood

“Nuh-uh, we’re taking my ship. I worked hard on that thing so we’re going to use it,â€

I turned towards the hanger with Black Trinity in it and Sora sighed, following me. Once we got into the ship I sat down in the captain’s seat and brought up the map of the worlds that had been opened around Radiant Gardens. I frowned when the Seiretei was blinking a bright red light

“Well, now we know where to go, but it’s going to take a while…†I muttered

Sora nodded and sat down as I took off towards the Seiretei. After a while I sighed

“Ugh, we get everyone back together and the next time we need to go somewhere we only have two people go… and on a distress call too,â€

Sora sighed

“Well, we’ll have to make do, besides, I’m sure Oriheme, Uryu, and Chad can help.â€

I blinked and looked at Sora after putting the ship on autopilot, so as to not get into a crash or anything with a meteor.

“Are they other Soul Reapers?†I asked

Sora made a face at me,

“No, the soul reapers all tried to kill us! I hope I don’t see one of them.â€

I crossed my arms as my eyebrow rose.

“Really, the Soul Reapers I met were fine,†I said

Sora frowned before seeing the Seiretei finally come into view. I beamed us down and sighed when that pressure came back once again.

“I hope I get used to this,†I said

I heard the clinking of a sword and saw a redhead step out from the shadows. Sora readied himself to summon his kingdom key but I held my hand out to him,

“Hey, Rioka, what are you doing out here?†the man asked

I took a step back towards the cliff where I first met Ichigo and Yoroichi as he took a step closer to me and Sora.

“What do you care?†I said

I turned around and ran for the ‘door’ in the cliff and Sora followed after me

“Hey! Get back here Rioka!†the man shouted

“Not a chance idiot!†I shouted

I jumped up into one of the trees and hopped into the entrance to the training grounds, Sora followed after me as well.

Inside Ichigo was fighting with the same man that he was when I first met him. Yoroichi was standing on a rock down below, watching him, and thinking. I jumped down the rocks and landed on one just a little ways from Yoroichi, she looked at me before we all jumped from a loud explosion from the entrance

“I was wondering what you could be doing, holed up in this place.â€

I frowned. That was the same voice of the red-headed man

“I take it that’s the true form of your Zanpakuto there with you,â€

A cloud of dust shot down from the explosion and down to be level with Ichigo. We all stared at the dust as the voice continued,

“So, you’re hiding out here and secretly training for Bankai are you?â€

The shadow of a man holding a large jagged sword over its shoulder started to show as the dust began to clear.

“Sounds like fun to me,â€

Ichigo blinked and shifted a little as he stared at the same red-headed man from earlier, the red head stared back. Wait, this guy was talking to Ichigo like he knew him… did he know him? The red head spoke up again with a wide smirk on his face

“Let me train along with you,†he said

Ichigo stared at him with wide eyes

“Renji…†Ichigo said

Renji’s smirk got wider

“You seem to have that ‘what are you doing here’ look. Hell, I guess I can’t blame you for wondering.†He said and let his sword down, “but the fact is, I’m not here for any special reason,†he said and walked forward, “it’s just that we’re outta time now. So I needed some place I could concentrate and train in peace, just like you,â€

Man this guy can talk, we all watched as he walked. Ichigo frowned

“What do you mean ‘we’re out of time’? What the hell are you talking about?â€

We all look at Renji for his answer, the intensity building up. Renji looks up and sigh

“Well alright, I guess I could at least tell ya that much… it’s about Rukia’s execution. They’ve changed the time.â€

It looked like someone had just stabbed a knife into Ichigo and Yoroichi, I frowned. What did he mean ‘changed the time’?

“Changed the time?†Ichigo repeated

Renji didn’t look at him,

“They’ve announced it’s going to be at noon… noon tomorrow.â€

Everyone froze like statues at this comment. Renji turned to face his back towards Ichigo

“And though I hate to admit it, the fact is at my current level I’m not quite good enough to save Rukia… that’s why I came here… to train.â€

Ichigo didn’t seem to like that idea but he looked at Renji when he spoke up once again

“Don’t worry about me; I don’t have any intention of getting in the way of your Bankai training. In fact I’m close to achieving the Bankai release myself.†He said and held out his sword, “I’ve already mastered manifesting it, like this.â€

A sharp wind and grey smoke whipped around his blade before going over to the ground in front of him and swirling around before exploding. This guy loves explosions doesn’t he? He looked back at Ichigo with a smirk on his face,

“So, if it’s ok with you I’m just gonna do my own thing here.†He said

When the smoke and dust cleared behind him I couldn’t believe my eyes. Standing behind him was a giant, white ape on all fours. This thing was almost as tall as Renji! I couldn’t imagine how big it would be if It stood up. And instead of a normal tale like you would have thought this thing had a snake for a tale. Across its shoulders and down its arms were purple markings that matched the odd tattoos on Renji’s eyebrows. I looked down at Yoroichi when she repeated the news about Rukia’s execution date.

“Noon tomorrow…? No way… there’s no way he can reach Bankai that quickly,†she said

I jumped when Ichigo’s sword shattered. Yoroichi looked up and frowned.

“What? You just gonna give up on me then? Come on Yoroichi, you’re the one who started me on this training program. It was your idea, so you can’t be the first one to quit on it,†Ichigo said

Yoroichi frowned

“Ichigo no, what if tomorrow comes and you still can’t achieve Bankai-â€

“We can’t waist time worrying about what ifs! Failure is no longer an option,†Ichigo said and turned around to face Yoroichi. “If they have changed the deadline to tomorrow,†He held up the remainder of his blade to his other hand, shattering the last of the blade into it. A bluish white glow started to emanate from his body and his eyes glowed white, “then the only option there is, is to finish training today.â€

I stared at him as his spiritual pressure started to get stronger and a fierce wind toyed with everyone’s hair. Yoroichi stared at Ichigo

“This Spiritual Pressure…. Ichigo…†she muttered

I looked at her then blinked when Ichigo smirked and moved his eyes towards me,

“And, if Bailey can train with me, then she might be able to help us save Rukia.â€

I looked at him and a smile spread across my face before I nodded.

“Hey, Ichigo!â€

We looked over at Renji to see him with an annoyed look.

“Yeah? What is it?†Ichigo muttered

Renji’s eye twitched and he pointed to me, making me blink.

“What’s the deal with asking this other Rioka to help you? She has barely any spiritual pressure and she looks too week to help!â€

My eyebrow twitched as I tried to keep from killing him. Why is it that the people in this world made me so aggravated? Ichigo snorted as Yoroichi spoke up

“If you see what she can do then you’ll know that she’s not a week as she looks.†She said and sighed, looking at me, “ok Bailey, while Ichigo’s training, let’s at least teach you flashstep.â€

I nodded

“By the way, wasn’t there a boy with you?†Renji asked

I blinked and turned around to see that Sora had vanished. I smacked my palm to my head

“Dammit Sora…†I muttered

“You can look for him later. right now all you should worry about is what I’m going to teach you.†Yoroichi said

Training, that’s what we did nonstop for what seemed like weeks. And because this place only had day, you couldn’t tell if time had stopped, sped up, or had jumped. Yoroichi kept training me as Ichigo and Renji tried to master Bankai. After a while Renji got ready to head out, he turned towards Ichigo

“Well then, I guess I’ll be going,†he said

Ichigo didn’t turn, just answered.

“All right,†he muttered.

Renji frowned and turned, Yoroichi stood in front of him with her arms crossed, watching Ichigo as I stood next to her. Renji walked forward and stopped,

“Tell me the truth Yoroichi, what do you think? Do you still think he’s going to be able to do this…? Cause we’re out of time. Can he really reach Bankai today?â€

I looked at him before at Yoroichi. She looked at Ichigo as Zangetsu shifted his stance;

“Let’s go Ichigo. One more time now,†Zangetsu called out

I stood up straight as Zangetsu clones started to appear around Ichigo

“And let me be clear, just because the hour is drawing near I don’t intend to go easy on you.â€

A wide grin spread across the bloodstained Ichigo and he breathed heavily.

“No, of course you won’t. And that’s because I’m not gonna give you the chance to go easy on me!â€

Yoroichi opened her eyes.

“Renji, do you remember the first time when you were a child that you stood up and walked on your own?†she asked

Renji’s eye twitched

“What? Of course not! No one remembers anything that early,†he said

I looked at him as Yoroichi talked

“If you don’t remember doing it, and yet you did it… it means that you weren’t conscious of it at the time… so how did you know how to do it?†Yoroichi asked

Renji blinked at the question. Ichigo kept grinning as he rushed after the clones that were heading after him, starting to cut them down.

“The answer is all humans are born already knowing how to stand up, just as birds are born knowing how to fly, and fish are born already knowing how to swim,â€

I looked at Yoroichi before watching Ichigo

“It’s because of something we call instinct. All living creatures use their instinct to obtain their natural powers when the time comes that they need them… that’s what Ichigo’s face reminds me of. I think he knows instinctively, somewhere deep down inside, that he has that power. And that is why I still believe… that he will be the one to reach Bankai,â€

Ichigo clashed with Zangetsu before getting pushed back; he raised his sword and ran towards Zangetsu before swinging his blade.

It went on like this as Renji disappeared to the outside world. Yoroichi returned to teaching me again while keeping a close eye on Ichigo. On and on it went, neither of us stopping for a small breath.

I sure hope this is enough

Everyone was scattering like rats when Rukia’s execution started. Some of the captains and lieutenants were at the Sokyoku, waiting for Rukia to die. The Rioka and even the other captains and subordinates were scrambling to their feet, trying to find their way to the hill or investigating something. Renji just fought with Byakuya and it ended with him being a bloody mess, even with him having reached Bankai. Sora had snuck off and found Oriheme and the others, watching as Yachiru flew off quickly

“Agreed, your last request will be honored. After the execution I shall allow the Rioka to return home, unharmed.†Head Captain Yamamoto stated

A slight smile appeared on Rukia’s face as she stood on a platform. Her plain white kimono came down to her knees and the sleeves to her elbows. Her hands were bound by a red rope

“Thank you so much head captain,†she said with a relieved tone

The lieutenant of 4th squad looked down

“How cruel, why say that when he is no intention of sparing them?â€

“It’s actually not cruelty, Isane, it’s kindness,†Captain Unohana said

Isane looked at her captain

“What do you mean by that Captain Unohana?â€

Unohana had a grim look on her face, she looked up

“Her fate is unavoidable, but now with the Head Captain’s promise, she won’t need to worry about her friends,â€

/.\“Ichigo, you ready?â€/.\

Everyone from all around stared up at the Sokyoku in awe as the seal was released from the giant blade said to of been stronger then 1000 Zanpakuto.

Three square stones rose from the platform Rukia was standing on, the two outside rose to her hands and held them in place without touching her, the other held her feet as she started to rise high over the heads of the few captains and lieutenants that had come to watch. She sighed deeply and looked ahead at the Sokyoku.

The second that the blade lifted from the ground an immense flame rose from where it had stood and engulfed the blade as well as spiraling around it. Everyone below stared up at the spear as it began to form into an enormous bird of flame.

“Behold! The Sokyoku has taken on its true form in order to render the ultimate punishment. When the prisoner’s body has been pierced, the sentence will have been carried out!†head captain shouted over the roar of the fire. Rukia stared at the bird without showing any fear. Then, after a moment, tears slowly showed and slid down her face

“Farewell.†She muttered

She closed her eyes and waited for her death

A wide smirk grew on my face as I appeared on the wooden frame behind Rukia. She frowned when her killer didn’t come and opened her eyes to see Ichigo there in front of her with his sword behind his back. All of the captains stared up at the sight of Ichigo’s sword blocking the great bird’s ‘beak’ before it could hit Rukia. A smile grew on Ichigo’s face

“Hey,†Ichigo greeted

“Ichigo…â€

A mixture of emotions swept her face before she growled and glared at Ichigo

“Idiot! I said don’t come back! What’s it gonna take for you to finally realize?! You can’t defeat my brother! He’ll kill you for sure this time,â€

Ichigo stared at her as I blinked

“I’m not asking you or anyone to save me; I’m resigned to my fate! GO AWAY!†she shouted

I looked up

“Ichigo!â€

He looked up at me before stumbling when the Sokyoku roared and backed up, readying to strike again. Ichigo smiles

“Bring it on,â€

“You’ll never be able to stop it a second time! Enough already Ichigo you’ve got to quit! Ichigo! Please! You’ll be torn to pieces-!â€

I quickly looked down

“Ichigo! Wait!â€

He stopped and watched as a red rope shot up and swung around the beak of the Sokyoku before flying back down and digging into the ground. I looked down to see a captain and two squad members

“Captain Ukitake? And Kiyone?!â€

Another captain appeared and held onto the rope to make sure it didn’t go anywhere. This captain was wearing a pink robe over his normal ones

“Hey there hansom. I was starting to wonder when you were going to show up.â€

“C-captain Kyoraku!†a soul reaper shouted

“It took a while to break the seal, but,â€

Captain Ukitake swung forward what looked like a shield and another captain called out to their Lieutenant,

“Stop them! They’ll destroy the Sokyoku!â€

“What can I do?!†the lieutenant cried

The two captains below holding the ropes pulled out their swords and the shield lit up, lighting up the ropes as well. Ichigo and I watched as the Sokyoku exploded into millions of individual flames and everyone below shielded their heads as Ichigo and I shielded our faces from the wave of heat. Ichigo smiled

“I’m not sure what’s going o but I could sure use the diversion.†He said

He jumped to my side and I nodded, jumping back to the edge while keeping an eye on the mayhem below.

“Ichigo what are you doing?!†Rukia shouted

Ichigo grabbed the bandage attached to the blade and started twirling it

“Isn’t it obvious? This stand… is about to tumble down,â€

Rukia gasped and glared at Ichigo, I looked at her

“That’s crazy! Ichigo you can’t! You’ll only end up killing us both! The Sokyoku is too strong!â€

“Don’t worry about it!†I growled

Ichigo quickly let go of the bandage and grabbed the sword’s handle when it faced downwards

“Just shut up and watch.†Ichigo said

Rukia stared at Ichigo as his blade came crashing down to the post, once it hit the stand the whole thing glowed a bright white and I jumped when a loud boom sounded, almost like that of thunder. The spiritual pressure of the stand made a fierce wind fly around everyone near the stand and I shielded my eyes when everything turned white before a huge explosion sounded,

“‘I don’t want you to rescue me’ you say, ‘just go home’ you said. You know? Sometimes you talk too much Rukia, good thing I don’t listen to you,â€

The bright light finally started to fade away and I looked over to see Ichigo having gotten Rukia down from where she was, he was holding her around her middle at his side.

“Now this is the second time I’ve had to tell you this,â€

I looked at Ichigo after scanning below

“I’ve come here to rescue you, got it?†Ichigo asked

I smiled as Rukia’s eyes started to dampen before she closes her eyes tightly, her voice getting quiet

“You’re a fool… I’m not going to forgive you…†she said as tears streamed down her face, “I’m not going to… say thank you... I won’t!â€

Ichigo’s expression turned into a warm smile,

“I didn’t expect you to.†He said

I looked down below at the confused and surprised faces of the soul reapers before jolting when Rukia spoke up again

“Ichigo…. Let me ask you something… what are we supposed to do now? How can we possible disappear? With so many eyes watching us…â€

“We’ll make a run for it of course.†I said

Rukia blinked and looked up at me, as if I was crazy

“What?! How stupid! We’d never get away! Those are captains!†she hissed

Ichigo got an annoyed look on his face, looking off to the side

“Yeah? And we’ll kick their asses first…†Ichigo said

Rukia starred at us, I looked at her

“We’re not alone you know,†I said

She looked at me with a shocked expression, Ichigo smiles

“Uryu, Chad, Oriheme and Gonju, and Hanatarou, their all here,â€

“And not only that, but most of the captains as well…†I said

“We’re all going to get away. I’ll make sure of it.â€

The smile on Ichigo’s face said that he was filled with confidence, making Rukia smile herself a little and look down with watery eyes, I quickly looked down at the sound of fighting and the others looked towards that as well. I blinked and smirked when Renji knocked out the men who released the Sokyoku. He was completely bandaged up and worn out as he stuck his sword into the ground and fell to one of his knees

“‘Bout time you got here Renji!†I shouted

Rukia quickly looked up and got overwhelmed

“Oh Renji it’s you! I’m so glad you’re still alive!†she shouted

Ichigo smiled

“I figured you’d show up.†He said

Renji laughed

“What choice did I have? I couldn’t just rely on you two bone heads to save Rukia, could I?â€

Ichigo smiled and I laughed as I jumped down to Rukia and Ichigo, Ichigo and Rukia blinked when I took Rukia from Ichigo’s grasp, the three looked at me and blinked when I grabbed a hold of Rukia’s wrists

“Alright, here ya go Renji!â€

“Bailey…? What are you doing?†Ichigo asked

I smirked as I brought Rukia into the air, Renji’s eye twitched

“Wait! You don’t think you’re really going to-†Rukia shouted

“Hey hold on now, you wouldn’t dare!†he stuttered

I smirked and Ichigo sweatdropped

“Look out below!!†I shouted with an evil grin on my face

I spun Rukia around before throwing her down to Renji. Rukia screamed loudly and sharply, Renji yelped

“God, you’re insane!!!â€

Rukia flew into Renji, making them both fly back. Rukia was the first one up,

“Gah! Damn you!†she shouted

“You idiot, what if I didn’t catch her?!†Renji screamed

I crossed my arms and looked down at them

“Get going Renji! Take Rukia and get out of here!†I shouted

“What?†Renji asked

I put my hand on my hip, looking at Renji and gesturing for the way out of Sokyoku hill

“Don’t just stand there, get her to safety! Take her far away from here!â€

Ichigo sighed silently and put his sword on his shoulder, looking at Renji. Renji looked at me and Ichigo

“That’s your duty; protect her with your life.†Ichigo said

Renji looked at the two of us before nodding and grabbing Rukia in his arms and quickly turning around, running for where the stairs off of Sokyoku Hill was. Ichigo looked down at the captains and lieutenants down below, his eyes caught on a single captain with black hair and a firm expression, I looked down as a captain shouted at all of the lieutenants

“Don’t just sit there watching you fools! Go! All lieutenants after them!â€

Three lieutenants all sprung towards Renji and Rukia, a big guy that didn’t look all that bright, the same girl that had spoken out when the two captains had helped destroy the Sokyoku, and one that was the lieutenant of the head captain, they all got out their swords

“Bailey.†Ichigo said

I nodded and disappeared before appearing in front of the three lieutenants and coming between them and their targets. They all stopped and blinked at me as I just stood there, hair slightly over my eyes. The bigger one growled out of frustration

“Get out of the way!â€

I raised my head and opened my eyes as the girl took out her Zanpakuto as it started to grow into three blades

“Now run! Hitekumo!â€

The lieutenant of first squad took out his sword, the hilt changing into a more rounded shape

“Fly, Onriomaru,â€

The big guy brought up his sword and it turned into a round ball with spikes, like the type you see on a ball and chain… only bigger.

“Crush her! Gogenshu Muré!â€

As soon as hestopped talking my fist went flying, straight through the spiked ball and shattering it before my fist collided with the man’s stomach, sending him flying. The other two lieutenants’ eyes widened, then the lieutenant of first squad got a hold of himself and thrust his sword forward, I turned on my heel and dodged the blade before raising my hand. The lieutenant’s eyes widened as I hit him up on the chin, knocking him out. Last but not least, the woman. She starred at me in both amazement and confusion before blinking when I turned towards her, quickly hitting her in the chest with my palm. I heard someone running behind me and Ichigo smirked, quickly disappearing before catching the blade of the black haired man with his own, I frowned as he and the man stared into each other’s eyes

“I can see your moves… Byakuya Kuchikiâ€

Okay, due to some writers block, being a blockHEAD, and not liking my story so far, I will not be posting any new chapters to this story. I may or maynot write another one, but that might not be for a long time. Sorry if any of you wanted to see what happened next, but after writers block for more than a year on this one, I decided to just stop.

 

Just tell me Riku and Bailey lived happily ever after and I'll forgive you.

Apart from that: Great story! I read it all, your chapters were just the right length and apart from a few tiny spelling mistakes, there was nothing wrong with it.
I look forward to seeing your other work.
