Destiny and the Unforseen

this is a prevue of a new story im writing, hopefully, this one will have more luck then the others, but here goes.

I step off a building as I fall to the wet ground about 10 stories below,

Rain seaming to fly right next to me towards the ground,

A cloaked figure sneers and jumps toward me, weapon in front of him

I smile malevolently and get out my weapon in time for the clash

Small streaks of light show from the blades, darkness emanating around the light and twilight taking form of creatures to none of Earth have seen

Twilight, light, and Darkness, all clashing

Lightning flashing from the sky, Fire burning in their hearts, and water caressing them, all clashing

Blood spills onto the dirt and asphalt,

I’m frightened as I stare at the motionless body of the silver haired boy

“You promised”
/.\./.\./.\./.\./.\./.\./.\
Delight and surprise fill my body as I feel his lips against mine; he tastes like sea-salt and Poupu fruit
/.\./.\./.\./.\./.\./.\./.\
I can’t move, but I can feel, and I’m surprised when I feel soft feathers of wings caress me,

“An angle?......”

Heartless and Nobodys surround me,

“Maybe he really is gone…”

“Don’t say that Bailey!”

“Sora?”

Dead.... or alive… I really don’t know,

Can it be that only the unforeseen is what lays ahead? And that we don’t often choose our fate?

I hold to his hand tightly, he holds mine,

We are smiling,

What? No! The picture! It’s on fire…

Only a memory… he is gone

What?... a… dream? I slowly stand up and look at the stars,

Riku looks at me and stands next to me,

okie doke, i have the first chapter, i would like to ask that no one use my characters unless i give them permission, i do not own any of the kingdom hearts characters so i can't stop you from using them, and also please do not use any of my story for your own use, so please don't use my work and also enjoy.

A memory… to forget?

“What do you mean? She has no memory before today?†said a man with hazel eyes like mine, and a suit that was baby blue mixed with a little black.

I stare at the ground in front of me as two adults in front of me talk, apparently about me, but I don’t understand, I know my name, I know when my birthday is, and I know how old I am, so why are they saying I have no memory…

“No Mayor, but, where she was found, we found the back pack that she’s clutching onto, and a note, a very long one I might ad,†said a tall woman with ginger colored hair and purple rimed glasses.

I looked up at the two, they looked down at me. Before I had come here, all I remember is seeing flames engulfing burning wood, the smell of ash and burning cloth were in the air… but that’s really all I remember. I guess they were right, because that can’t be 16 years, 2 months, and 18 days worth of memories…

“Um, where is this place? And, who are you…?†I asked

“Oh, my name is Elena. And as I mentioned before, this is the mayor of our town. You’re on Destiny islands, you should be able to make a lot of friends here, but first, you need new clothes that aren’t burnt and torn,†the woman said

I looked down at my clothes to notice my army green pants with a burnt leg, and my dress ripped to bits, I was surprised that it didn’t completely fall off. I nodded and followed her down the hall and to a room; it seemed like her bedroom or something,

“Here, let’s see if this fits you.†She said

I took the clothes from her and took off the tattered clothes and laid them on the floor. I really liked the clothes she had given me, there was a tank top that was a beautiful shade of blood red with a silver symbol on it resembling fire, a sleeveless black hoodie, fingerless gloves, one that came up to the wrist, one that went up to about 6 inches away from the shoulder, plus black baggy capris with three silver zippers on the left leg and a pair or pink and black flip flops.

“Good. Those fit you good enough to last you for a while if you get the growth spurts like some of the kids here†Elena said after I had put on the clothes,

“Oh, here, I found this next to the note when we found you, so I guess it’s yours.†She said

She handed me a necklace with a silver eagle pendant with a blue aqua stone as its eye.

I put on the necklace and looked out her window as I saw three figures run past it. I cocked my head. I had caught sight of them enough to see that two of them were boys, a brunette haired boy and a silver colored hair boy, along with a red headed girl.

“You can go outside if you would like, and you can take your backpack too.†Elena said

She handed me my backpack and pointed me in the direction of the door,

“Come back around sunset and we should be able to get you settled into a room of your own okay?†she said

I nodded as I walked out the door and squinted my eyes as the late morning sun almost blinded me. I looked around and saw a beach; I started making my way down the path as I caught site of the same kids again, down at the edge of the water. I wasn’t really up for meeting any new kids right now, so I just walked towards the other path which led to a forest.

I slowed my walking so I could see more of the forest here, it’s really beautiful here.

“Hey, did you see a girl?†Sora asked,

He looked up the path where he had thought he’d seen a girl

“No, are you sure you didn’t just see Selphie, or Melissa?†Kairi asked

“Either that or you’ve finally cracked from too much sea-salt ice cream overloads.†Riku teased

Sora stuck his tongue out at Riku and ran up the path and down the path through the forest, and naturally, Kairi and Riku followed.

“I see someone up ahead†Sora said to the two behind him and kept running up the path

I gasped as I heard someone coming up the path behind me and I backed up, accidentally bumping into someone else, and fell to the ground. I got to my knees and looked at the other person

“Hey! Watch where you’re going!†a girl with long, wavy blonde hair, a white dress with a blue over jacket, high heals, and a blue purse

I looked down, “g-gomen nasai…..â€

“Is that supposed to be sorry? Sorry, I don’t speak other languages.â€

Sheesh, she’s snotty isn’t she?

“I didn’t mean i-“

SLAP

I stared wide eyed at the ground, a red spot on my left cheek stung like hell.

“Don’t you know who I am?! I don’t take sorrys as excuses!†she exclaimed, fury in her eyes

“I don’t think she would know that, she looks new to this island.â€

The girl looked up and froze, and then her expression went all lovey.

Sick.

“Riku!†she exclaimed and dashed over to him,

I put my hands over my head in case she would hit my again, but the blow never came, instead she scrambled in front of the boy she was talking about, the same silver haired boy…

“Why don’t you go pick on some one else Melissa? She didn’t mean anything†the brunette said

The boy with silver hair looked at her in agreement with the brunette. Melissa stared blankly at the two boys and then slowly walked passed them and the red head, then she turned around to see what would happen.

The silver haired boy walked over to me and saw the red mark on my face.

“You ok?â€

I looked up at him, wishing that I didn’t have tears in my eyes. I managed to nod to him, and he smiled at me

He boy held out a hand to me.

“I’m Riku,â€

I looked at him, he was being really nice to me, I guess only that onirl was really mean.

“Hi, I’m Sora.†The brunette said

I looked back at him and the girl.

“I’m Kairi, nice to meet you.â€

I looked at Sora, Riku, and Kairi and grabbed Riku’s hand, “I’m Bailey.â€

A day on the island

I had walked with Sora and the others down to the beach, I don’t remember ever seeing an ocean before, then again, I DID forget almost my whole life… I took off my flip-flops and stood in the water, it felt cool against my feet as it pushed and pulled the sand around it, I stared at the sand that had now covered my feet.

“Have you ever seen an ocean?” Sora asked

I looked back at him, not really answering since I didn’t know the answer.

“Uh…” I said to them and then looked at the sand,

“Well now you have. By the way, are your mom and dad here?” Kairi asked

I stared blankly at her before shaking my head ‘no’.

She looked at me like she did something horribly wrong,

“I’m sorry, I didn’t know” she said

I shook my head, “you didn’t do anything… I don’t even remember my parents… not what they look like, not if they were nice, anything.”

The three gave me a sympathetic look.

I laughed a little, “Hey, what’s with the look? You don’t have to feel bad; it doesn’t hurt if you don’t remember any of your life…” I said

Their faces just got worse; Kairi’s face had an expression of a cross between horror, sadness, and sympathy. Sora seemed to look like his heart split in two. And Riku gave me a look that would top off the other two, he stared at me blankly. I shook my head at the three and then unburied my feet and picked up my flip-flops. They all looked at me with sad expressions before dropping the subject.

“Hey, you want to go to the little isle over there? We need to be there anyway, so” Sora said

He was pointing to a little island a short distance from here. I looked back at him and nodded,

“Yeah! Sounds like fun” I exclaimed.

Kairi and Sora smiled at me, but Riku looked at me with an odd expression, I think he was thinking ‘she’s happy even with all of her memories gone’ sort of thing. But, that aside, we all walked to the dock and hoped into two boats, Riku and Sora in one boat, Kairi and me in another. I looked over the edge and into the water, thinking that maybe I could make something to make these boats go faster. When we got to the isle I got out of the boat with the others and looked around, there wasn’t a huge amount of kids here, only about 5 others besides Sora, Riku, and Kairi. There was a girl playing jump rope while watching two boys playing ball, and then there was another girl talking with what looked like either her best friend or sister. Then I frowned when I saw Melissa come from around the corner, she had another boy following her like a lost puppy.

“Come on! We’ll introduce you” Kairi said

I followed the three over to the girl skipping rope and the two boys throwing the ball at each other, those three stopped what they were doing to look over at Sora, Kairi, Riku, and me.

“Hey guys! Who’s that?” the girl asked as she looked at me

“This is Bailey, she’s new here,” Sora said

The girl smiled and the two boys waved,

“Nice to meet’cha, I’m Tidus!” the sandy blonde said

“Hey bra’! Name’s Wakka.” The orange-ish haired boy said.

I laughed at what Wakka said and then smiled as the girl introduced herself.

“Selphie, glad there’s another girl on the island” she laughed

“Selphie, Tidus, Wakka, Kon’nichiwa” I said and smiled

When they started at me with blank expressions I laughed,

“It means ‘hi’,” I said

“Oh” they all chimed

I smiled at them, and then realized I musta’ attracted a lot of attention because the two girls who were sitting on the tree now came over. And Melissa’s boy toy stopped fawning over her when he saw me and looked at me like a love sick puppy. I don’t remember much about my history, but I do know that I never really liked guys fawning over me like I’m their toy that they can carry around. I was pulled from my thought when the two girls simultaneously spoke.

“Hey there! Nice to meet you!” they said and laughed at the fact they said it at the same time,

“I’m Miko!” the girl on the right said,

For some reason she was wearing a hat with cat ears on them… but it was cool! In an odd way.

“And I’m Myou, welcome!” the other girl said

I smiled at them and then looked over at the boy, arching one eyebrow at his look.

“Um… I’m kinda afraid to go over there with Melissa over there, and also that guy’s creepy looking, but, what’s that guys name?” I asked timidly

Miko and Myou looked at each other and huffed,

“That’s Hikaru, I would stay away from him if I were you, he’s kind of a jerk and a pervert…” Myou said

I nodded and then turned my attention back to the group. I looked at Riku and the others,

“Um, by the way, what time would I have to leave if I’m supposed to be back by sunset?” I asked, knowing that the boat ride took a while

The others froze, I could tell in they’re minds they were saying ‘aw crap’, cause they grabbed my arm and bolted to the dock. I smiled to myself, already I had friends, and they were so nice to me, I could get used to this place.

im not talking about the hikaru youre thinking about destiny, i just needed a name, so i used it, he looks nothing like the one youre thinking about, and is completely oposite

 

Nice chapter! It was a joy to read an update on Bailey's story, and I'm starting to see how Riku's falling for her. But, my one quirk was there were too many Fan Characters in one place. Destiny Islands does need more people, but that was just too many, too fast.

 

well, the thing was Riku and the others tought that they had more time till baiuley had to go home, and there was supposed to be a contest between all the boys, and naturaly all the girls were supposed to watch, so thats why there were alot of people there

the next chapter is up, this one has slight language in it, and shows a little bit of Bailey's past

The Dream

It was past midnight, and Elena was going to kill me if I didn’t get into bed soon, I was supposed to get up early the next morning. But I had to write in my diary before I went to bed; it was kinda a habit after I had got the damn thing. So I picked up my pencil and started to write.

‘I’ve been on these islands for almost two months now. When I first came, school was getting out in a month, so we’re about one month into summer vacation. While we were in school, I was able to join the track team, sadly Melissa is the- ahem, I mean, was the team captain. I’m in the same homeroom as Riku, and I get to see Kairi and Sora during lunch and electives. I have P.E. with Riku and Sora, and Choir with Kairi, then after school I stay after for about 1-2 hours for track, depending on which day it is. Most of our competitions were on Saturdays, on rare occasions they were on Fridays.

I’ve been living with Elena in a room just down the hall from her own. My room was basically the normal teen room, a bunch of posters, a million magazines, a game system, video games, CDs, stereo system, and the occasional stuffed animal. My bed was almost all black except for my pillow, which was a faded color of turquoise blue; most of the posters were of video games and bands that I liked, and the magazines weren’t all of boys like most of the girls on this island, they were actually mostly of bands, video games, news, CDs, and some manga (which I asked Elena if she could order the manga for me). I even owned a few books too, most of them were my favorite manga, a lot of them were fantasy books, some mystery, others horror, and I also had some books that apparently Elena wrote herself, this interested me a lot, and now they’re one of my favorite books.

Something that some people on the island think is cool, and some think is weird, is the fact that I have a ‘shed’ that I lock myself in and make mechanical stuff. Most people wonder what I make, and I never tell them, mostly just to annoy them. I mostly make stuff to upgrade the things on the island; I was able to make an engine for the boats, so now they aren’t completely slow.’

I set down my pencil and crawled in between my covers as my thoughts flooded my mind as they always do before I fall asleep. At first, I was thinking to myself that it’s weird that I write in my diary like I’m actually having a conversation with it, then I started to lose my thoughts to the fantasy of dreams and fell asleep.

“Momma!!!” a little girl screams, running from a pale skinned boy with short silver hair,

The little boy looks demented as he walks after the little girl, who is now crying,

The girl is giggling as she runs as fast as she can through an enormous field of flowers,

She stops as her eyes fill with fear and sadness

The boy is in front of her

“Come on Bailey, I just wanna play” the boy says and laughs

I find myself waking up with tears coming down my eyes and my breathing uneven. What was that? Who was that boy? And, was that a memory? I looked at my clock to find that it was 4:32 in the morning. Damn, I needed to get up in two hours to meet with Sora and the others. Why did I have this dream tonight of all nights? I huffed and slammed my head back down on my pillow, tossing and turning before falling asleep again.

It only felt like 5 minutes before I heard a girl singing loudly next to my ear; my alarm just went off, and I had it set to wake me up by radio. I moaned and yawned, wishing I could go back to bed. I wasn’t the biggest morning person, but I just dealt with it. When I shook the rest of the sleep from my eyes I realized what song it was and moaned again.

“Man, she really IS a brat that gets everything she wants.” I said to myself.

I could recognize her off-pitch voice anywhere, it was Melissa. Apparently she had convinced the radio station to play one of her songs. Not sure if she forced them to or asked politely. Either way I KNOW they would be afraid of her.

“Ugh, turn it off.” I said

I flipped off my radio before climbing out of bed. I fixed the covers and walked over to my dresser.

“Damn…” I said to myself

My clothes weren’t in there, I went over to my closet and started tossing the clothes that were in there in hopes of finding my clothes, but they weren’t in here either.

“What the...” I said

I ran over to my bed, tossing the covers off. When they weren’t there I looked under the bed. Then, just to make sure I wasn’t acting stupid, I ran over to my mirror to make sure I wasn’t already wearing them. But I huffed at the sight of a long white baggy shirt, black silk capris, and sky blue socks. Then I dashed out of my room and skidded down the hall before crashing into Elena. I rubbed my head.

“Sorry bout that…” I apologized.

She laughed a bit and then helped me up.

“It’s ok, I was actually just coming in to see you,” she said

I cocked my head before gasping,

“OH! Elena! Have you seen my clothes?” I asked

She laughed a bit before handing me clean clothes. I took the clothes from her and nodded my thanks before dashing back into my room and putting them on as fast as I could. I HAD to get to the island before 7:00. I looked at my clock as I was literally jumping into my pants. It was 6:58

“****!” I shouted

I sipped up my pants and put on my vest and dashed out the door after saying goodbye to Elena really quickly. After that I just had to wish that I had to rely on my legs to get me to the dock. And right then and there I was glad that I was the fastest girl on the track team, or else I would have been an hour late.

(claps) Amazing. Well written insight into a Fan Character's past is always a gem to find, and Bailey's is well written alright. One thing though, short silver hair? Why do I have the sinking feeling that the boy in her nightmares is related to Riku....

 

related as in blood, yes, but not Riku himself. i decided to put a few final fantasy characters into my story, and this guy is perfect for the role that i needed him for, ill give you a hint if you want ^^

 

after ALOT of thought of what should go into this chapter and alot of erasing and retyping, i finally got the 4th chapter typed up ^^' even though it was a pain this chapter was still fun to type up, hope you enjoy it ^^

The Fight

I was lucky to even get there 5 minutes late. Well at least I got there within 8 minutes of the time I was supposed to be. I was breathing hard after that run I had done, and my heart felt like it would break out of my chest, put on a hat and walk off carrying a suit case. Riku laughed when he saw how tired I was,

“Get up late again?†he asked

I scowled at Riku, and then gave Sora a look when he snickered. Kairi was smart enough not to laugh, instead she rolled her eyes.

“No, I got up on time; I just couldn’t find my clothes.†I stated simply

I sighed as my breathing went back to normal and my heart wasn’t racing anymore.

“so, what’re we doin’ today?†I asked, “What’s so important that I HAD to come at a certain time?†I asked,

“Well, if we didn’t do that then you would have just been held up in that work shed of yours.†Riku stated

I laughed, “I guess that’s true.â€

Riku smiled. I smiled back,

“Well, you all got me for the whole day. What’re we goanna do?†I said jokingly

Kairi laughed along with Sora and Riku at my comment. I screwed up my face, knowing that it would be funny, but wanting an actual answer.

“No seriously! What are we supposed to do? Sit around for the whole day?†I asked frustrated

Sora and Kairi looked at each other and then at me,

“Well, me and Kairi have to do some things, so you’re stuck with Riku until we’re done.†Sora said

I sighed, “I GUESS I could spend the day with him, it’s going to hurt me dearly, but I’ll try.†I said sarcastically

The look on Riku’s face made me bust up laughing. He knew what I meant, but just seeing him pout was a sight to see. Kairi and Sora smiled before walking to the dock and rode off in their boats. I looked at Riku with a bored expression; oddly he looked at me the same. Normally it was Sora or Kairi that thought of the pass time, so it was kind of boring without them. My brain was too lazy to shake the cobwebs from the gears to think of a pass time, and I think Riku has this same problem.

“So, you know what we’re gonna do?†he asked

“Nope,†I asked “you?â€

“Nothing…†he said

I huffed, blowing a piece of my hair out of my face. Riku sighed and looked up at the sky.

“Man, at least Sora could’ve stayed… we could’ve fought.†Riku thought out loud

I looked at Riku in surprise.

“Oh? And you’re saying that we can’t?†I asked

I walked towards him, narrowing my eyes as he backed away.

“Well, I’m not saying we COULN’T, it... It just wouldn’t feel right. It wouldn’t be fair to you.†He stuttered.

I crossed my arms,

“Let me guess, ‘you’re a guy, and I’m a girl and you’re afraid you’d hurt me and blah, blah, blah, blah, blah.’†I said and looked at him

Riku scratched the back of his head awkwardly. Not really knowing what to say.

“I knew it.†I said

I turned away from him arms crossed and teeth clenched. He looked down and shifted his weight uncomfortably. I sighed again and saw Tidus carrying two wooden swords (probably for him and Wakka) I smirked and ran up to him,

“Hey, can I borrow these?†I asked

Before he gave me an answer I took them anyway and threw one to Riku. He caught it, but in surprise,

“We’ll see who’s a girly girl or not.†I said.

Apparently Riku was a little surprised by this because every time I swung at him he always dodged the blows or used his sword to block me, I jumped back and looked at Riku.

“Come on; Fight me like you would fight Sora. A few bumps and bruises won’t make me hate you.†I said.

There was silence for a while as he made up his mind. He nodded as he looked at me.

“Ok, but don’t blame me if you get hurt.†He said

He got into a fighting stance and I smirked.

“Now that’s better,†I said

I ran at him with my sword thrust out, ready to attack, not really caring that Tidus, Wakka, and Selphie were now watching. Riku dodged the blow and counter attacked, getting a blow smack on the side of my head. This put me off balance but I straightened myself out and jumped away. He smirked and readied himself for a frontal attack. I cocked my head as the gears in my head started to turn. If he was used to frontal attacks, then I should hit him from the behind; that will catch him off guard. I ran at him, pretending to come at him from the front. He smirked and readied his sword for the blow. I smirked myself as right when the attack should have come I thrust my body off the beach with my foot and flipped over him before smacking him in the side. Riku was in shock at what I just did, and apparently so were the others. Riku held his side as he swung around with his sword extended. I countered the attack with my sword and put all my weight into it, making Riku struggled to keep both of the swords from colliding with his face.

“Ok, maybe I was wrong…†he grunted

I smirked at this comment and let up for a moment, but jumped away before he would have time to retaliate. He panted as he looked at me,

“Fine, guess I SHOULD fight you like I do Sora.†He said

I looked at him, wasn’t he doing that just now? I yelped as he came from behind in a flash and knocked me away, I stood up and looked at Riku just to be countering one of his attacks. Counter after counter after counter was all I could do. If I wanted to get him again I would have to get the gears in my head going a little faster. I was being pushed towards the wall, so I at least had to get away from there. I sidestepped one of his attacks and ran as far away from the wall as possible. After that I just kept running away from Riku as I was trying to think of a plan.

“You quitting already†Riku asked

He noticed me dodging and running away. I shook my head but looked at my surroundings, the wall, the bridge, the dock, and the ocean, I tried to make something out of the few materials I had. I got a few conclusions: one was to try and lure him to the ocean and then get behind him and tackle him to the ground, another was to try and push him against the wall to where he couldn’t move. I chose the ocean; it would be fun to get wet.

“Not quitting, thinking.†I said plainly

He cocked his head and was surprised when I came at him. He dodged, getting him closer to the ocean; I did this a few times to get him a little closer. He watched as I ran at the wall. I could tell he was confused, but I just carried out with my plan. I ran at the wall as fast I could and then jumped at it, pushing off of it with my foot and coming at Riku, I slashed at him with full thrust, getting him off balance, then I tackled him, getting us both soaked, I laded on top of him and as a final move I put my sword up to his neck. He smiled at me. I looked at his smile, it was a different one from any of the ones I’ve seen before, but before I could tell what it was…

“Hey! That was great Bailey!†I heard Kairi’s voice call out

Kairi and Sora were back. I hopped off of Riku and helped him up as Kairi and Sora ran over to us. Selphie, Tidus, and Wakka ran over to us too, all of them complementing me on the good fight I put up. I swear right then and there you could see a big sweat drop on the side of my face as I had a smile that wasn’t really a smile. Riku laughed at my expression. I sighed and shook my head rapidly, making water fly onto all the others. Everyone growled at me and I laughed. Tidus and Wakka looked at each other before smiling and pushing me and Riku back into the water. I sputtered water and pulled them in as Riku pulled Sora and Kairi in, then all of us ran and pulled Selphie in. the whole thing turned out to be a water fight, and one of the best afternoons that I could remember.

well, i managed to finish the next chapter while my internet got shut off, so im gonna post it now ^^ it might just be the longest chapter ive ever writen, not sure though xD

Birthday

After the sun was setting and all of us were soaked, Kairi and Sora disappeared to the other side of the island and told me to stay out. I huffed, but went on to the little islet that had the curved poupu tree and sat on the edge, watching the sun set under the ocean. I sighed as Riku plopped down next to me, for a long while there was a silence as we just watched as the sun made its way under the ocean as slow as it could possibly go.

“You know, there’s a legend on our island…†Riku said after a while.

I looked at him with curiosity and before I could ask he spoke up again.

“About the poupu fruit, it’s said that if two people take a bite of the same one at the exact same time, then their destinies will be intertwined.†He stated.

After he said this I looked out onto the ocean again, I sat there thinking for a while. I wonder what brought this up… was he just trying to think of something to talk about? Or was he saying he wanted to share one… with me? I looked at him as he stood up,

“Hm, maybe I should go check to see if Kairi and Sora are still alive back there,†he joked

He walked off to the door that lead to the other side of the island. I huffed and looked at the star shaped fruit that was on the tree. I never tried on before… I wonder what they taste like… I stood up and picked one off the tree and sat back down in my spot, I flipped the fruit around and the put it back to the side that was facing me, and I eyed it for a second and then dug my teeth into it. I ripped off the piece that was in my mouth and cocked my head. It was mostly sweat… and then a little on the sour side, and then there was a little of a different flavor in it too. I liked it. I kept eating it until all that was left were the seeds and the leaves. I wrapped the seeds in a napkin and put them in my pocket.

It had gotten dark and I was just about to get up before Riku came up behind me silently and put his mouth next to my ear

“Boo†he said

I jumped almost 5 feet in the air and then playfully hit Riku on the arm,

“That wasn’t nice!†I said

He was laughing hysterically. I scowled and turned around, he smiled,

“Aw come on, laugh! It was funny.†He said

I refused to talk. He smirked

“I know how to make you laugh…†he said mischievously

I looked at him in an odd way, and gasped as he thrust his arms towards my stomach. I screamed in laughter as he was tickling me

“S-stop it!!!!!†I laughed,

He smiled as he continued to tickle me, when I couldn’t breathe anymore I finally grabbed a hold of his hands and made him stop. I smiled at him,

“Ok, ok you got me.†I said

He smiled at me again and sat next to me on the edge, he looked up at the sky, as did I.

“There’s a really beautiful star on the other side of the island, here, lets go see it.†Riku said

I nodded and walked with him to the door that lead to the other side of the island, forgetting that a while ago I wasn’t aloud back there. He opened the door and let me in, after jumping a crossed the bridge I was surprised when I felt a blindfold being put over my eyes,

“What are you doing?†I asked

He didn’t say a word and lead me a little further down and then stopped. I felt his hands come off of my arm. I was a little confused at first and when I was about to speak up the blindfold came off to reveal all the others and a bunch of lanterns

“SURPRISE!!!†they all shouted

I stood there in surprise at all the smiling faces,

“What is all this?†I asked,

Kairi spoke up, “well, because you told us you didn’t remember when your birthday was, we made one for you, and so we threw you this party†she said smiling

Sora smiled, “this whole thing was Riku’s ideaâ€

I looked at Riku, and before I had a chance to hold myself back I tackled him in a big hug

“Thank you so much Riku!†I shouted,

I saw that smile again, I also got interrupted this time by a loud popping noise coming from behind, and I turned around to see confetti streaming everywhere,

“Let’s get this party started!†Tidus exclaimed

Riku and I hopped up to enjoy that night.

We all laughed as streamers were flying everywhere, I eyed the cake and, of course, my stomach growled. Everyone laughed and could figure that I was hungry, Tidus was about to bring the cake over but tripped on a rock and splat went the cake right on Riku’s face. Everyone went quiet as the bottom of the cake fell to the ground. He looked a little mad. I used my finger to take some off his face and tasted it, everyone looked at me when I put it in my mouth, and I smiled. It tasted good, everyone smiled at me, but to twist it up a little I took some of the cake off the ground and shoved it in Kairi’s face. Kairi gasped out of frustration and everyone turned to me, I laughed. She scooped up some of the cake and shoved it in my face, everyone else went silent again and I blinked a few times. I smiled mischievously and took up more cake and threw it at other people, then everyone else got the hint and cake went flying everywhere.

After all of us washed off our faces I jumped when I head music turn on, when I turned around I laughed my guts out watching Tidus ‘bust a move’. Everyone kept trying to get me to dance, but I refused, I never really liked to dance in front of people, but they won when they put on ‘New World’ by Back-on. This was one of my favorite songs and I always started to move whenever it came on, apparently everyone liked my dancing because they kept complementing me, this was very odd, but I just went along with it.

We all had fun to the music, and I was getting tired, so we all stopped and suddenly out of nowhere I was handed a box, I looked p at who gave it to me to find that Sora was giving me a gift, apparently everyone was because I spotted where they were hiding all of them. I looked down at the present again,

“You guys know you didn’t have to get me anything…†I said

I opened the box to find a very nice Mp3 player, my eyes widened,

“No seriously. You REALLY didn’t have to get me anything.†I said

I was surprised that anyone would get me anything, especially this. Everyone just smiled and next Kairi was the one to give me a box. I huffed and opened it, inside was a really cool looking jewelry box, it was all brown and had my own fire emblem etched into it. I smiled a bit but was very annoyed that they would go and get me stuff, I didn’t deserve it, and also, it was their own munny, I didn’t like it that they would spend a whole lot on me. But two other boxes were shoved into my grasp, one from Tidus, the other from Wakka. I opened the one from Tidus first and found a poster of my Favorite band PARAMORE. Next I opened Wakka’s gift and took out a really cool pair of gloves, fingerless and black. Selphie gave her present to me; it was a really nice purse with a golden chain attached to it. I thanked all of them, and then Riku stood up. This time I REALLY got mad, because most of all I didn’t want Riku to be wasting his money, especially for a stupid gift. He put his gift in front of me, I hesitated to open it.

“It’s not going to bite†Riku laughed

I looked at Riku and then at the present and opened it, it was one of my favorite books called Socrates in love, and a really expensive one at that, I got frustrated, but thankful at the same time. So, in short terms, I was speechless. He smiled at me, and then Sora handed me another gift, I stared at it in confusion,

“It’s from Kairi, Riku and me.†He said

I opened it to find a framed picture of all four of us, I smiled at this one, then I put the presents down and got on my knees, everyone looked at me in confusion as I put my hands together and bent my head,

“Arigato… everyone, I know you didn’t have to do this, and I am thankful for all your gifts,†I said and lifted my head, “but I don’t like it that a lot of you would pay a lot of munny to get me things, your munny is your munny, and you should use it for what you want, not on me.â€

Everyone just smiled, apparently knowing that I was going to say this,

“It doesn’t matter; you’re a really good friend Bailey. All of us would do anything for you and you can’t keep us from doing it.†Kairi said

Everyone nodded in agreement, and I was astonished. But I was thankful, I had a lot of good friends, and I never wanted anything to happen to them.

After that all of us talked for a while and then we decided to spend the night on that island under the stars. We gazed up at the sparkling diamonds that complemented the moons shine. And after a while, everyone fell asleep, me and Riku were the only ones awake. He stood up and walked over to me before sitting down,

“You know,†he said

I looked at him with curiosity

“That present I gave you earlier wasn’t your actual present… this was what I was going to give you…†Riku said

He pulled out a small box that jewelry stores put rings and other stuff in; he took out an amazingly beautiful necklace with a poupu made of five tiny crystals that seemed to shimmer in the moonlight. It was breathtaking. I froze, my heart leapt into my throat and I got a very warm feeling, a feeling I had had often around Riku, just never realizing what it was. I finally recognized this feeling as… love. As he slipped the necklace around my neck and smoothed it out, I scowled, but, all the while blushing madly,

“Riku, it’s beautiful…. But… it’s too much! This is too far; I can’t even imagine how much it must have cost-â€

“It didn’t cost a thing, I made it…†he said in a sort of shy voice

My heart skipped a beat when he said this, and my face burned even hotter, I hoped he wouldn’t notice.

“R-Riku… you didn’t have to do that…â€I said silently

He smiled at me; I hoped it wasn’t because of my blushing,

“o, but I wanted to,†he said

I looked away from him, after that I was surprised to see shooting stars, and a lot of them, my eyes sparkled and I found myself standing up in amazement, Riku stood next to me, and we looked a each other, all worries and doubts melted away at that moment, and I smiled.

After that, I fell asleep, I’m not sure if he did.

(fangirl squeals) Amazing work Jap! Not to mention, Creative!Riku is really good. I can actually see the look that must have been on Bailey's face when he gave her that necklace. It sounds really pretty too. Although....since the Shooting stars mean the worlds barriers are down again, what's going to happen? And what is she going to do with those Paopu seeds?

excellent work... I can also easily imagine Bailey's face when he pulled out the necklace... It's so amazing! You write wonderful stories, and I think that was your best chapter yet! ^.^

Many Memories to Hold

The first one to wake up was Kairi, closely followed by Selphie. The both yawned and stretched. Kairi looked around at everyone and gasped in delight to see Bailey curled up against Riku with his arm around her. Selphie looked at the two after Kairi giggled and smiled,

“Oh! They look so cute.†She said

Sora got woken up by the commotion, and when he saw what the girls were fawning over he snickered and woke up Tidus and Wakka. Tidus smiled and took a picture while he could, but all the fussing soon woke Riku and Bailey,

I got woken up by fussing and cooing, I rubbed my eyes and my brain finally started to register, I was right next to Riku, apparently he woke up just now too. We both gasped and got away from each other as fast as we could, me blushing like mad and him rubbing the back of his head. Once Riku and I saw the camera, all hell broke loose, Riku stood up, getting that ‘look’ in his eyes, and that’s never a good sign. Tidus started to back away, and then ran. Everyone watched as the annoyed Riku was about to beat up the terrified blonde. I sighed and got my backpack, trying to fit all of the gifts I had been given into it so I didn’t have to have a lot of trips back and forth. Riku soon slowed as he was getting tired of chasing Tidus and everyone started to clean up.

I had managed, some how, to get all of the stuff into my bag and was ready to head back home to drop them off at my house. But I had caught Kairi and Tidus’ attention with the gleam from the necklace I now wore around my neck.

“Where’d you get such a beautiful thing?†Kairi asked

Riku had heard what Kairi asked and looked over but went right back to work, not wanting to show that he had given it to me. I saw and turned back to Kairi and Tidus,

“Didja get it from one of the guys?†Tidus asked smirking

I shrugged, putting my backpack on

“I got it from a friend,†I said,

Not saying anything more I headed for the other side of the island and said quick goodbyes before getting into a boat.

“I’ll be back after I put this stuff in my room, ‘Kay?†I asked

Everyone nodded and waved before going back to the other side of the island to clean up what was left of the mess. I rowed to the main island.

When I finished putting the gifts in places I thought suited them, I went back out and headed for the dock. I was just now passing the path to the forest, and I stopped dead in my tracks,

“Come to the cliff…â€

I looked towards the woods, not really knowing why, but trusting the voice, the others can wait a LITTLE longer… I headed off down the path and came to the cliff in no time, I looked around, wondering what the voice wanted, I walked a little further and tripped on a perfectly round rock… wait, PERFECTLY round? I looked at the rock and dusted it off a bit, it had writing on it, but not I any language I knew, it looked like it got cut off because it was buried, I pried it from the ground and suddenly the words started glowing, and the light that had lit up the words started to spin around me and finally went straight into me and all went black.

The silver haired boy was curled up in a corner between two rocks, and he was crying
/.\./.\./.\./.\./.\./.\
The girl walked up to him after watching a black creature try to reach him,

She moved his hair out of his face so she could look into the eyes that once frightened her
/.\./.\./.\./.\./.\./.\
“Are you ok?†the girl asked with much concern in her voice,

The boy just wiped away his tears and nodded, and the girl smiled at him,
/.\./.\./.\./.\./.\./.\
“Bailey!†a blonde haired boy called out, a few years older then the girl

The girl looked towards her older brother and when she looked back at where the boy sat, he was gone
/.\./.\./.\./.\./.\./.\
I moaned as my eyes flickered open, my head hurting and spinning and almost making me lose my lunch. I looked around to see that I wasn’t on the island anymore, but I was in fact laying midair in darkness. Startled I jumped up, thinking I was going to fall, but when this didn’t happen I knelt down and my hand on the same ‘surface’ my feet stood on, I pushed on what my hand had caught on and got startled again when my hand went through the ‘surface’ and I started to fall, I screamed even though I knew that no one would hear me, I couldn’t help it because I was falling into what looked like a bottomless realm of darkness, I gasped as the darkness below me started to turn into light to bright for the human eyes, I shielded my eyes as the light brought me to a platform and gently let me down.

Getting really tired I looked around, hoping to find any sign of a way back to the islands, but what I found was the stone again, being held up by a peculiar statue that shown two creatures, one white with a figure that gave it an appearance that it only had bones and skin, the other black with beady little eyes and hands with claws that could cut through anything just by touching it. In the middle of these two… things, was what looked like a giant key…

I stepped forward and went to grab the stone, but before my hand even touched it, the blade disappeared and the two creatures sprang to life. I gasped and backed away as the stone floated up into the air and the two creatures came towards me,

‘Do not be afraid, you have fought these before… but you need to call upon your powers again, dig deep into your heart…find something you treasure most, and use that as a key into your memories’

I obeyed the voice again, trying to think of something I hold most. My mind raced, trying to find the ‘key’ then, I found it in an instant,

“My friends…†I said to myself,

Then, a light shown from my heart and traveled into what would have been the sky. Then, a blade came spiraling down and pierced into the floor. I grabbed it, and as if on cue, the creatures sprang towards me in attack. Not having time to think, I used the blade to protect myself and cut through the creatures, the black one disappearing in a puff of black smoke, and the other using a portal.

The stone came down and into my hands as the blade disappeared.

‘Well done young guardian…you have done well to summon your power, now, let me share with you for what has happened and will be doomed to be repeated…’

I looked down at the stone as the letters began to light up again, and the platform caved in under my feet, but instead of me going with it, I stood on empty air again, and everything went black again. But this time, instead of me passing out, stars appeared after the darkness, one by one appearing,

‘the stars, distant planets that take form of pure white diamonds in the night sky, they are what has been and what will be, it is the duty of three heroes to protect these worlds,…’

Suddenly three darkened figures appeared, two men, one woman,

‘The Keybearer…who will travel the worlds to protect the denizens who dwell within them’

The middle man got into a fighting position while holding a weapon, one that looked a lot like the one that had been on the statue,

‘The Princess of Heart… who holds one of the keys to open the heart of all worlds’

The woman crossed both of her hands over her heart as a faint pink light emanated from it

‘And the Protector of Dawn… who had found his way from darkness, back to the light he dwells in’

The other man held up both of his hands, one holding a black flame, the other holding white

‘A history that has gone on since the beginning of time and has repeated itself over the years, tells that the stars shoot across the sky, signaling that there is danger brewing, and the Protector will stray to the dark side’

I watched as stars shot across the sky and disappear, and then the Protector threw the light away and caressed the darkness, each person started acting out what the voice said

‘ and sacrifice the Princess to get into the heart of all worlds, Kingdom Hearts… but once he finds what he wants, the Keybearer will save the worlds from the darkness that has taken over the Protector, and will get the Princess’s dormant heart back…’

I continued to watch,

‘the second journey begins and will be harder then the first, losses of dear friends, separation from family, the darkness lying dormant in the Protector, and all three being far from each other… the journey is rough, but the three are reunited, the protectors darkness is gone from his heart, and after the last battle they travel back home’

I got confused, this was only the second journey?...

‘but, even though the heroes are reunited, their journey is not yet over… for as long as the Keybearer is alive, they will have to continue to fight… but this next journey involves a new member of the heroes, Dawn the Guardian…’

I looked at the figures to see a new one, another woman, and she was holding the same blade that I was wielding earlier…

‘The four need to set out on a journey to protect Kingdom Hearts once again, from an evil that will be the hardest yet, along the way they will be separated once again, this time by death, for the Protector shall die in battle to protect Dawn… in the end, the four has come down to three, and though they have saved Kingdom hearts from the ultimate evil, they will still fend through all of eternity…’

I stared blankly ahead, hearing the words, but not believing them, it was bad enough to watch as the Protector just faded away… but then the four figures stood in a row, ready for the next thing to say

‘The journey has started anew… for you, the young heroes, so go for the, the new Keybearer’

The adult Keybearer faded away to reveal Sora, and my heart started to race

‘Princess of Heart’

This figure faded away to reveal Kairi,

‘Dawn the Guardian, and Protector of Dawn’

the woman faded to reveal me, and the last man faded away and Riku took his place, my eyes widened, if Riku was Protector of Dawn, and I was dawn the Guardian… oh no, Riku is going to die… for me…

‘You must be prepared Guardian, for the battle has begun the worlds defenses are depleting, and the journey must start again for you, Dawn the Guardian, go forth and complete your journey…’

The stone started to glow a bright light so I had to shield my eyes again, then I appeared on the islands again, the stone still glowed a bright light and I couldn’t help but step back, but I didn’t know that I was stepping towards the edge of the cliff, the stone stopped glowing a little too late, for my foot was directly on the edge, and I slipped and fell a good 30 feet head first into the dark waters below,

“Come with me, and leave big brother†the now 15 year old silver haired boy said

Tears slipped down the girls face as she looked down at the blonde boy’s lifeless body,

“Nii-sama… please, don’t leave me… Cloud!†the girl screamed,

She looked at the silver haired boy, “Kadaj you *******! What have you done to Nii-sama?!â€

“LET ME GO!†the girl screamed

Kadaj kept hold of the girl as Cloud started to wake up. Cloud looked up to see his little sister being kidnapped

A dark aura encased the girl and she disappeared, Kadaj looked surprised,

“Bailey!†Cloud shouted
/.\./.\./.\./.\./.\
“Darkness everywhere… I feel, tired…†the girl said

“It’s alright now my darling… try to sleep, all of your worries will leave you, and you will beat peace†a woman’s voice said soothingly

“Mother… but, I’m scared… Kadaj-â€

“It is alright, he will not get you here, I shall find a safe place for you, but for now, sleep, Baileyâ€

“Bailey! Bailey!â€

My eyes flicker open, and I look up to see Sora with a worried look on his face, I quickly sit up,

“We’re in danger! All of the worlds- All of Eternity†I gasped,

My mind raced to different subjects to where I couldn’t handle it, and I clutched at my head. Kairi knelt down,

“What are you talking about Bailey? We’re not in danger…â€

“You must have hit your head hard or something,†Riku said, “what happened?â€

I looked blankly at the sand and turned to the cliff, trying to see if the Stone was still there,

“I-I had to fight these two creatures… then, the prophecy, and… fell from the cliff†I still couldn’t keep all of my thoughts in place, Kairi’s eyes widened

“You fell from the cliff?†she asked in surprise, “I’m surprised you’re still aliveâ€

I shook my head to put all of my thoughts back in order, I looked at the sky and my eyes widened,

“Darkness….â€

The three looked at me and looked at the sky to get a big scare. The sky was slowly turning a dark black,

“The worlds, their defenses have gone down, that’s why the stars were shooting across the sky last night…†I said

I was caught by surprised when the ground collapsed under my foot, and the whole island was plunged into darkness.

Sora looked back to see Bailey falling into darkness and went after her, but started falling too, he managed to land on his feet and looked around to make sure that Riku and Kairi were ok, they were, but Kairi was worried about Bailey, she just lay there, Sora jumped when he heard the sound of a ship and turned around to see a gummy ship landing just a little bit away from them, he smiled when he saw Goofy and Donald jumping out of it, along with his majesty, King Mickey.

“You guys gotta get in the ship, there’re Heartless coming your way by the ship load,†the tiny king said

Sora nodded and went to help his friends get Bailey into the gummy ship, after they did that King Mickey, Donald, and Goofy all hopped back into the ship and flew away right when the heartless came,

“Wait! What about the others?!†Sora asked, looking down at the darkened islands

“Don’t worry Sora, Maxi and Clarabell are getting’ ‘em all to safety†Goofy said

Sora cocked his head when he heard the names, he knew about Clarabell, but Maxi?

Why was this happening? And why am I supposed to be apart of it? Why couldn’t it have been someone else? I opened my eyes when I heard the sound of an engine roaring and people talking like they haven’t seen each other in a while. I slowly sat up, wincing from the pain in my shoulder. Sora turned around when he heard me sit up and ran over to me,

“Hey, you ok? You’ve been knocked out for almost half an hour…â€

“Yeah, you were beginning to worry us.†Kairi said

Riku stayed silent, just looking away. I looked at the three of them and then jumped when I heard another voice just randomly speak up

“Yeah, Sora and Riku had to carry you to the gummy shipâ€

I looked over and screwed up my face because the duck talking startled me, then I looked at him, a tall dog and a small king, Sora, knowing the look on my face was confusion about who they were, spoke up,

“Oh! Bailey, these are friends of ours. They’re-â€

“Donald Duck†the duck interrupted

“I’m Goofy†the dog said

“It’s nice ta meetcha’ I’m Mickey†the mouse said

I looked at each of them and smiled,

“Mickey, Donald, and Goofy, it’s really nice to meet you, but, why are we on a ship?â€

Kairi sighed,

“The darkness has taken over the islands again, we had no choice but to leave, everyone else on the island has been evacuated; now we’re going somewhere safe…â€

I stared through the windshield of the ship,

“So... wait! Does that mean that the islands are gone?!â€

Everyone looked down, and that was answer enough for me. I clenched my hands and looked down,

“Great… it’s probably my fault…â€

Sora Kairi and Riku all looked at me,

“Why would it be your fault? You couldn’t make the islands disappear†Riku said

I shook my head,

“No… but it’s because I came to the islands, if it weren’t for that, then you would all still have a home,â€

Sora shook his head and was about to say something until Mickey spoke up,

“We’re coming in towards Radiant Gardens, we’ll land shortly,â€

No one spoke after that until we arrived in the port. There were a few people there to make sure that everyone wasn’t brutally injured, there were there were 4 men, one with brown hair, with a cool outfit, but too many belts in my opinion. Another kept a toothpick in his mouth, and had sort of a mean look on his face, kinda creeped me out, the third looked very old, because his hair was as white as could be, and he had a beard that I think went down to his knees, but I couldn’t tell because of his robe. The last one had blonde hair, and was wearing all black, I think I remember seeing him…

“Well, didn’t think we’d see you so soon.†The mean looking man said to Sora

Man, how many people did Sora know? Well, he WAS the Keybearer, so I guess it’s to be expected.

“I didn’t think that the heartless would act up so soon either… did everyone else get here safely?â€

“Yeah, Aerith and Yuffie are getting them into temporary homes right now,â€

I stayed quiet, just leaning against the wall till we had to go somewhere. They talked for a while about the whole situation that had just happened, I heard Sora say the names Cid Merlin, and Leon, and I got a glimpse of who they were, the guy with a lot of belts was named Leon, the old man was Merlin, and the guy that looked really angry was Cid, I looked at the blonde, wondering what his name was, he spoke up

“Who’s your friend?â€

Sora looked at him and then looked back at me,

“Oh, this is Bailey; she’s one of our friendsâ€

The blonde froze,

“Bailey, this is Cloud, and I’m sure you saw who everyone else was,†Sora said

I looked at Cloud and nodded, is this the Cloud from my dream?...

She looked very gentle, and her pink dress helped complement that fact, Leon turned around and nodded as a girl walked up behind the woman, she looked just about 2 years older then me, they both turned to Sora and smiled a welcome,

“We have rooms for you too, so please, come with us.†The woman said

She turned and started walking towards the great mass of buildings and all the others followed, except Cloud. I started to walk after, but looked back at Cloud. He walked up to and looked at me for a second, then got a look of relief. I was going to say something, but he grabbed my arm and brought me in to a hug. It was awkward for a moment, but because of that hug, I regained all of my memories with my brother, Cloud…

Tears started slipping down my face as I began to cry, I wrapped my arms around him and clutched the back of his shirt, he just kept me close,

“Nii-sama†I sobbed into his chest,

He buried his face into my hair

“Everything is ok now…†he said silently

I don’t know how long we stood there, but when I finally calmed down we walked towards the house I was supposed to be in with Sora, Kairi, and Riku, they were all talking with Mickey, Donald and Goofy, Riku stepped towards me when I came in the room, but I could only look down and walk passed him and up the stairs. Right now, I needed to sleep
