So despite having my PS3 for over a year, I've never bought anything online. I'm trying to right now, but I'm having trouble depositing funds from my debit card into my account via my PS3. Is there a way online (as in, using a computer, not the console) where I can do it? I can't find it anywhere.
I would suggest buying a point card from a local game shop instead. With the points card, you can enter the code on it and gain the online funds that way. This is also a much safer method ever since the recent hacks. :/
It isn't necessarily safer, you are just putting you faith in a differet system. But yes, that is the route I would go. I don't know of anywhere to add funds to you account online, and from the console requires a credit card. So getting the points card should do the trick if you want to use debit.
Like the fellas above, i would go with the Playstation cards. All you do is go to a place where they sell them, purchase how much you would want, (i think they only have $20 as lowest and $50 as the highest, so you don't really have much say in that...) Once you get it, then go into your PSN account and click on "Redeem codes." From there it will show you four boxes where you will then type the code from the card into.* * The code is on the back of the card where you must scratch off that scratch off stuff. (Just in case you didn't know) Submit the code, and then it will verify it and it will then tell you how much you have in your wallet. Then spend spend spend till you have no more! Hope that helped. EDIT- I just re-read what you said... um on the computer i'm not certain. So i'd say go with what i said if you can...
Playstation Cards are the way to go. A few weeks I added some funds to my PSN account. In the next couple of days I received a phone call from my local bank. They told me that someone tried to take approx £300 out of my bank account from Japan but they closed my account as soon as the incident occurred.
