Demons, Vampires, Slayers...The End of the World Again!

"The first one's always the worst," she admitted, stretching her body and taking a deep breath.
"The day's only began... I can't go outside until the sun set's," she said.

 

Leon walked in hearing the last sentence, "Your hungover, huh? Well that explains the headache", he said placing the cup of water down with two aspirin next to it. Then he went and sat on his second couch turned to the left side of the other one pointing directly at the tv.

 

"Thanks." Dawn reached for the aspirin and water, her hands trembling. She swallowed the pills, then drank the water. It felt good. The headache lessened alittle. "Thanks." she said again, setting the cup down. Then she took in their surroundings. "You live here by yourself?" she asked, taking in the tv set and living room furniture.

 

"Yep", Leon answered, "I moved here about half a year ago", he smiled politely, they probibly knew that people shared appartments in most places. He could afford to live on his own.

 

Missy got herself comfortable on the couch, staring at the wall thinking of whether she should just blurt out the truth randomly, or should just keep quiet. She ran through the choices in her head of what could happen.

 

"Wow, so you know you're way around pretty well. I got here two months ago. Missy and I just met a few days ago." Dawn watched Missy, silently begging her to keep quiet and lie.

 

"Alright, so your names Missy?", Leon asked pointing at Missy and "Your name is... er, I don't think I got your name", Leon added first pointing at Dawn before realising he didn't catch her name and moved his hand on the bad of his head.

 

Dawn half smiled, and leaned back in the chair. "I'm Dawn Summers." Her head still hurt, but at least she could think now.

 

Missy nodded her head automatically, still thinking it through her head.
"Leon... why do you think the sun affects me so?" she asked.

 

"Okay then Dawn", He said before Missy spoke. He turned to look at Missy, it felt awkward but he felt implied to answer, "I guess because you have somesort of medical condition", he answered not really knowing fully.

 

Dawn watched Missy carefully. What is she getting at? she wondered, clasping and unclasping her hands.

 

"You're halfway there... Ever believe in vampires?" she asked, still staring at the same wall.

 

Dawn stood up. "No more, Missy!" she warned, stealing a look at Leon's face. She walked over to the door. "I think we need to go now." she said, opening the door. One hand went to her head as the headache returned.

 

"Vampires? I haven't really thought about it", Leon replied taking a moment to think, Those weird events, a woman said to be drained of her blood, a man taking a bullet and walking away fine..., He then realised, "So your saying your a vampire?", Leon asked, it wasn't from fear it was from curiosity again, either way he wasn't bothered of the outcome. He almost didn't see Dawn get up, "Its still daytime, she won't be able to make it far", he said

 

Missy nodded her head and smiled, showing her fangs.
"There's no other way to prove to you unless i burn myself to show you," she said. She watched Dawn, ignoring her rage.

 

Dawn shut the door. Apparently Leon wasn't gonna call for help. Her headache was worse then ever. This is not the best time for this she thought, putting her hand to her head. "So if she is, what would you do about it?" she challenged Leon. "What can you say to convince me you won't hurt her?" She leaned against the wall, using it for support.

 

Missy scoffed and stood up.
"I think it's time i leaved. Sunlight or not... I should make it to the church," she said.

 

"I'm not going to do nothing, vampire or not your still a person", Leon said sitting back seemingly relaxed, ...This explains alot. He finnally had a conclusion about his suspicions on the recent murders and news.
He saw Missy stand up this time, "Why the church?", he asked.

 

"It's where my trench coat is... it's the rest of my outfit.... It shelter's me from the sun," she said, motioning the clothes that barely covered her body.

 

Dawn winced, the voices seemed overloud. Something was going on, somewhere else. For a second she seemed transported to a dark alleyway, then she was back in the room. Her headache took on a new meaning. "I'll go with you Missy. We should stick together."
