Demons, Vampires, Slayers...The End of the World Again!

"She was staying with me," Dawn tried to catch her breath. She looked behind her. The sun was now high enough, it covered the entire street. "I can't get her back there....do you live nearby? Have a room with no windows?" Just then Missy opened her eyes. "Missy! You okay?" Dawn knelt down and helped her sit up.

 

"My appartment is just around the corner, my bathroom has no windows and I think I could get something to stop the sun from getting through the lounge", Leon said pointing around down from the way he came.

 

"Okay, that'll work." She turned to Missy. "Missy, we're gonna get you someplace safe, okay? You just lean on me, okay?" Dawn moved to help her stand up. "Lead the way......what's your name?"

 

Missy looked at Dawn.
"So..you found my note?" she chuckled to herself. She looked up at Leon.
"I'm so sorry sir..." she said, seeing about triple of everything.

 

"Call me Leon", He said as he started to walk down the alley making sure they where able to follow by keeping them in the corner of his eye. In no time they where at the appartment building, Leon swiftly opened the door and lead the two girls to the elevator letting them get in first.

 

Missy walked just fine, but seeing triple made her bump into a few things. She walked on the elevator and sat in the corner, putting her head between her knee's.

 

"Thanks Leon." Dawn watched Missy, concerned. "You should have let me come with you!" She said. "I would have helped you, or gotten what you wanted." Her headache was worse now. "Leon? I hate to ask for more, but do you have any aspirin lying around your apartment?" She rubbed her temples, try to make it go away.

 

Leon stepped in the elevator after them and pressed the button to floor 7, "I should have something lying around for that head of yours", He said thinking a little about it.

 

"I'm sorry," she pleaded again. She kept apologizing in her mind.

 

Dawn smiled through her headache. "I'm just complaining. Look on the brightside. I finally got some excercise today." The elevator bumped up, seeming too fast for Dawn's liking. She kept her cold hands on her head. It helped a little.

 

Missy looked up at the two, shivering.
"Leon, i'm not what you think i am," she said.

 

"Doesn't matter", he said as the elevator doors opened and Leon stepped out, his appartment was directly to the left of the lift. After taking out his keys he opened the door and kept it open as he quickly made his way to the curtains and closed them shut completly blocking out the sun with the thick blue fabric, "That should do it, now for the aspirins", Leon said heading out of the lounge and into the kitchen. His appartment was large, it was a slightly higher class appartment than the ones you would see on a TV sitcom.

 

Dawn helped Missy to the couch, and set her down. "Now, how bout you stay there this time." She said with a slight smile. Then she sat down across from her, holding her head in her hands. "I will never get drunk again." she muttered.

 

Missy chuckled and looked up at Leon.
"Thank you..." she called out, grateful for his help.

 

Dawn whispered the next words "Don't tell him what you are. Guys aren't worth the trouble, even if they help you, pretend to like you. In the end, it's all a lie." She looked up at Missy, trying to make her see how important this was.

 

She frowned.
"It's a lie no matter what... i'm lying to him about what i am... and he's helping me... Why should I lie?" she whispered.

 

Dawn rubbed her temples "A, he might think you're crazy. B, if he does believe you, what's gonna stop him from staking you? and C, if he does believe you, he might work for vampire slayers. He would betray you, and I can only protect you so much." she whispered back. "Best case scenario, he doesn't believe you, or believes you and doesn't care....and if you told him, what would stop you from turning him into a vampire?" She frowned, her headache getting worse.

 

Leon searched his cupboards for a pack of aspirin eventually finding it. He placed them on the counter as he filled up a cup of water for Dawn to drink them down with. I wonder what sort of condition could cause problems from sunlight, ah well. He thought to himself, he knew he could find out later using a websearch.

Missy laid on the couch, rubbing her eyes.
"Damn sun's making me a little crazy anyways," she laughed.

 

Dawn chuckled, then winced. The pounding was getting worse. "In the end, it's up to you." She massaged her temples. This headache was soo bad. "Are hangovers usually this bad?" she asked.
