Demons, Vampires, Slayers...The End of the World Again!

Dawn leaned on the counter, feelin her damp hair start to dry in morning sun. How had it come to this? And what could she do now?

OOC: I'll see you guys tomorrow! *leaves*

 

Spike was at the building where him and Angel worked and resided. He was sat outside Angel's office waiting for him. He took out a cigerette, placing in his mouth and lighting it. Almostt instantly someone told him he could smoke here.

 

Dawn hesitated, then took out her necklace. Around it was a key. She used the key to open a drawer under the counter. Inside was a cell phone, a 45 caliber pistol, several thousand dollars, and a stake. Her essential needs drawer, she called it. Dawn hesitantly reached for the cell phone, closed the drawer, locking it, and flipped the cell phone open. It buzzed to life almost immediatly. Dawn glanced at the battery life. Damn, it was low again. Enough for two phone calls. She buzzed through the list of numbers, found one that looked familiar, and pressed call. The phone on the other end rang twice.....

OOC: I'm not calling anyone in particular, anyone who wants to answer the call can :D

 

Missy felt the burn heal slightly, but it was still a pain. She sat up and looked around, and opened the door. The sun didn't shine in, lucky her. She looked out the window, seeing the dark spots she could hide in until she got her trench coat at the church. It wasn't that far from here. It was exactly where she found Dawn. She should make it there and back before noticing. Just in case she got a pen and piece of paper out of a drawer to let her know she'd be back soon.
She walked out of the room, and opened the window, jumping from the story height into the shadows. She pulled out her own cell phone, looking at the time... She shook her head and raced herself to the church.

 

Leon left his appartment and headed down the elevator and onto the streets through the main entrance. As he started up the road he thought to himself, I don't have work for a few hours. Best time to get grocceries. Luckily he knew these streets well, he remembered a short cut up and took it into an alley way.

 

No one answered, and there was no answering machine. Just a beep. "This is Dawn", she tried to keep her voice from trembling. "I need some answers, information. Please call me back at this number." She left the number, then hung up. Placing the cell phone on the counter, she leaned against it, and pushed her hair back, taking a deep breath. She only had one call left, then her battery would die. God forbid she would have a charger. Maybe Missy was lonely....Dawn pushed away from the counter and headed up stairs.

 

Missy took a shortcut up the alleyway, looking behind her to see if she was followed, until she felt herself run into someone. She fell back and shook her head.
"Oh, i'm terribly sorry," she told Leon, standing up, attempting to hide the burn on her shoulder.

 

"Don't worry about it, I didn't see you coming", Leon said notcing her seem to hide something, "Are you alright?", he asked, concern and curiosity could be picked out from his voice.

 

"Uhmm. yeah, i'm fine," she said, moving her face to the side. She looked behind her seeing the sun shining through the beginning of the alleyway, and at the end. There was no other dark spots to help her to the church. it was like a wall closing on her.

 

Dawn reached the room "hey, Missy, ya wanna talk?" she turned into the room, and stopped. She was gone. But where could she have gone? Dawn searched the room, finding a note. What the hell is she thinking!? Dawn dashed downstairs. What could she do? Try to find her? Or stay home?

 

"Okay", Leon said noticing her look at the sunlight as it started to move onto the alley, Somethings odd about this girl, he thought to himself, "Are you sure your alright, you look worried", he asked, his curiosity getting the better of him. He believed he was doing justice.

 

She moved her hand, wincing at the pressure on the burn.
"I'm only a little burned. It's nothing serious," she admitted. She looked up at the sky, seeing the clouds surrounding the sun, but not a thick enough cloud to cover the rays.

 

"Damn it" Dawn cursed, as she paced the living room. She looked outside, the sun was shining brightly. She grabbed the cell phone, dashed out the door, and headed down a street covered in shadows that a desperate vampire might use.

 

"Why do you keep looking at the sky like that?", Leon asked seeing her look at the sun covered with clouds.

 

She breathed heavily, squinting her eyes and feeling different. She wasn't used to the sun and the bright lights. She breathed quickly.
"I'm not...used to the heat," she said, her voice almost a whisper, until she took a deep breath before collapsing.

 

Dawn ran down the street, ignoring the people looking at her. She turned right, and skidded to a halt. Missy was talking to some guy. So she was okay. Dawn sighed in relief and started walking toward her. The Missy collapsed. "Missy!" Dawn shouted, running toward her.

 

Leon caught Missy before she fell to the floor, "She must have a medical condition, i'll have to keep her out of the sun", he said to himself as he lay her down against a wall and looked around looking for help. He saw a girl running towards her shouting Missy.

 

"What are you doing!?" Dawn was breathless from the heat and running. "Keep her out of the sun!" Her headache was coming back, and the world spun around her. She leaned against the wall, gasping for breath.

 

"Er, alright", Leon said being paniced by the girls breathless shouting. He quickly took his coat off and put it over Missy, "We should get her to somewhere dark then", Leon recommened obviously getting her there by covering her skin.

 

Missy's eyes opened slightly, warily and dizzily.
"I'm sorry," she groaned, shaking her head softly.
