Demons, Vampires, Slayers...The End of the World Again!

Lisa grinned again. "Do you think I care about the sun? Or God? For so long, Thomas and I have hunted that girl." she pointed the gun at Dawn. "Then you killed him. Now, my only goal is to kill the girl, even if I die too." She pointed the gun at Missy, her finger on the trigger.

Dawn shuddered. The vampire's eyes showed such hate and malice. She stepped backward, holding onto Missy, her eyes on the gun.

 

Missy stared at the gun.
"So.. you take pride in killing?" she hissed.

 

"Why shouldn't I? It's what our kind does." She stepped closer, never taking her eyes off Dawn. "Are you telling me you never took pleasure in what we do? Being stronger, prettier, faster......" She grinned. "I can't understand why anyone would care for humans, they are so weak. Just like prey."

Dawn was frozen in horror. How many lives has this vampire taken? The sun was almost through the window, then Missy and the other one would cease to exist. Dawn looked from the gun to Missy, confusion and panic on her face. Either way, someone was going to get hurt...

 

Leon threw the blade straight at the gun and reached for a pew and lifted it up with both hands. It took him half the time a vampire would take. He then threw the pew at Lisa.

 

"Duck!" Missy pushed Dawn out of the way, falling with her, away from the blade and the pew.

 

Dawn fell with Missy, hitting the floor. She gasped for air, trying to see what was happening.

Lisa dropped the gun and ducked, hearing Missy's warning to duck. She leaped toward Leon, snarling. She knocked into him, hissing, trying to move her fangs toward his throat.

 

Leon was knocked back easily by Lisa's vampiric strength. He recovered as quick as possible, he was used to this sort of force and easily moved out the way of her fangs. He was getting colder and colder, his thoughts escaping him. The side effect of his strength had started even earlier than last time.

 

Missy broke the pew into a sharp pointed stick. She aimed it at Lisa.
"Get away from him!" she shouted, throwing it at Lisa.

 

Lisa grinned, sensing weakness in her opponent. The stake scraped her arm, but she barely noticed. She struggled with the human, bringing her fangs closer to his throat.

Dawn struggled to stand up, her legs going weak. The sun spilled over her shoulders. "Missy!" she screamed, feeling the warmth on her hair and back.

 

Missy screeched out, feeling the sun touch her body. She used her arms and pushed away, feeling the burns. She withered around the floor, screeching. She grabbed another piece of the sharppened pew, and threw it at Lisa again.

 

Leon pushed Lisa's head back with as much strength as he could possible, "Missy! Get out of the light!", he shouted trying to not get bitten before the light came in.

 

Missy pushed herself out of the light with her hands. The burns felt horrible on her back, she gasped out, feeling the relief of the burning away... She clenched her hands, still gasping.

 

Lisa screeched in frustration, then jumped off the human, and stared at Dawn. She couldn't reach her there, in the sunlight. She would die before she touched her. Lisa screeched, picked up her gun, and ran out the door, staying in the shadows, she ran away.

Dawn ran to Missy. "Where can you go?" she asked, watching the vampire run away. Hopefully she would die, but Dawn didn't have the courage to follow her. "Where can we hide you?" she asked.

 

Missy breathed calmly, laying in the floor. The light would be in soon, just in that one window. She pointed at her room, still breathing harshly.
"I needed to be in the moonlight.... but it went away," she cried softly.

 

Leon walked over to a pew and using the last of his strength before it faded placed a pew infront of the window giving Missy a chance to get into her room before the light filled the room. He was weakening fast and the pew would fall as soon as he let go.

 

Dawn tried to help her up without touching her burns. She couldn't though. "Leon?" she called out. "Are you okay?" She winced, feeling the burns on Missy's back and arms. "Come on, you can do it." she coaxed. "Just a few steps into the room." Dawn wanted to check on Leon, but she could only help one person at a time.

 

She breathed, and held onto Dawn. She still couldn't move her legs...
"I'm sorry... I can't move..." she said, whimpering.

 

Dawn took a deep breath, and picked Missy up. She wasn't so heavy, but Dawn didn't weigh much either. She took careful steps toward the room, shouldered open the door, and placed her gently on the mat. Her legs trembled, and she collapsed in relief. "You'll be okay now, right?" she whispered.

 

Leon let go of the pew letting it fall to the floor. He dropped from where he was standing, he felt nothing and his mind was blank. Am I dead? he questioned although he was still breathing he was easily confused.

 

She pushed herself up on the mat, still poking her legs, feeling nothing....
"I'll be okay by tonight," she said.
