Demons, Vampires, Slayers...The End of the World Again!

Spike remembered Missy, he remembered how she reminded him of his days without a soul and his days with Drusila. He wasn't comfortable around her.

 

Jacob sighed, then looked up at the sun.
"About... three years ago, she chased me down, because I was a cocky teenage boy... Werewolf saved me though... She made the choice of making me what i am today...." she answered

Missy stared at Spike then at Angel.
"You're not going to stake me are you?" she spoke clearly in her almost serious tone

 

Spike looked at Angel when Missy asked the question.

Leon saw Missy talking with Spike and Angel. He decided not to go over to them.

 

"Hmm," Norah said, thinking. "She didn't seem like she wanted to hurt you back there..."

 

Missy looked back at Spike.
"No? Good! I plan to live," she hissed

"Because she fears me," he chuckled...

 

Spike looked back at Missy, "Well if it was up to me i'd stake you here and now. I'd of done it before if it wasn't for lover boy over there", Spike said nudging his head towards Leon and bringing up the fact that he saw them outside clearly enough.

Leon watched them still, he couldn't hear them clearly but he had the feeling it wasn't a civil conversation.

 

"If it were up to me, I'd have killed you by now, but I'd expect Dawn would be highly upset at that..." she hissed.

 

Norah was about to ask another question, but instead cussed when the wound on her leg throbbed. "Should I get this checked out?"

 

He frowned, the feeling of guilt rising in his mind. He walked next to her and got on one knee, looking at the wound.
"Doesn't look hospital material.. The muscle looks torn though... I can carry you back to my apartment, if you want," he offered.

 

"Then were at a stalemate", Spike snarled.

"Hmph... or so you claim... what's holding you back anyways? The memories that i see through your eyes?" she asked.

 

"Dawn", Spike answered, "We have a common reason to not kill each other". He tried to avoid the memories she was bringing and mentioning. This girl can read me like a book, he thought to himself feeling annoyed and insecure.

 

"Nah, it's okay," she said. "I'll walk." I hate being a burden. She took a couple shaky, painful steps. "But thank you," she added, looking at Jacob with a kind, weak smile.

 

She cocked her head, her eyes halfway closed, and her face a somewhat surprised expression.
"That's it isn't it? I remind you of something or someone in your past, and you're afraid to confront it. That's why you haven't staked me yet. What happens when you come across an evil vampire, that might kill you! Huh!? You gonna let her just remind you of something and you go GAGA over her!? Get a backbone!" she argued.

Jacob chuckled.
"Nonsense... Besides, without a hurt leg, we have speed," he added, walking next to her and putting his arm around her back, and his other arm behind her knee's, pulling her up. She seemed to weigh less than what she looked. He smiled, and began in a light jog.

 

"It's not what you think...", Spike said, "I'd of killed you in a much more gruesome way if I confronted it", he said remembering his time as William the Bloody.

 

"The way I see it, you wouldn't have," she scoffed, leaning against the wall, and looking at the ceiling.
"The way I just explained to you, about how if there was an evil vampire... Let me make a comment...
You're going to died because you don't have the guts to stake them on sight..." she scoffed again, pulling out one of her blades.
"Me and you tonight on the rooftop... We'll dance this time..." she said.

 

"Kill on sight isn't as effective as you think, especially when you can toy with your targets", Spike said returning to his regular manners, "I don't think I would dance with you anyway", Spike said finger quoting dance letting Missy take it anyway she wanted.

 

"So I see," she said, putting her blades away. She wiped her eyes, as if she were crying, though she was. She was never turned down a dance.
"Hmph... i assume you don't wanna play around either. That cocky attitude you had the other night had gotten my hopes " she chuckled in a crying voice.

 

"I can't help it if I toy with targets", Spike said shruging with his arms raised higher.

 

"Hmph... If you don't mind me asking...what do i remind you of?" she asked.
