So I was at the library, and there's a 8-9-year-old boy sitting by me. He somehow managed to drop his cell phone, and then he let out the most adorable "D'oh!" I've ever heard... [>.> One of the things that sounds better when you're there <.<]

 

I hate kids.

It's like an unwritten rule, if you don't have a phone by the time you start school, you're not cool enough D8<

 

I didn't have my first phone until I was a sophomore in high school.
And I only had 75 minutes a month.
On a network none of my friends had.
And I got along fine.
Who the hell does an 8-9 year old need to call? His lunchables dealer?

 

I only used my phone to check if my parents could pick me up from school, or to ask homework if I was absent from school...

Come to think of it, that's still the only things I use my phone for xD

It's more of a status thing, I think, the better the phone, the cooler you were.

 

I never use my phone; "emergencies only."
and taking pictures, because Samsung phones are cool like that C:

 

I use my phone for a lot of things. Texting friends like all day, callin' people, makin' pictures, filming stuff, and most of all listen music on it, because it has this super awesome sound. It's called the Beat DJ, so that's why.
I got my first phone when I was 12 and went to a different school.

I get a bit sad inside when I see kids that young have cellphones. :'(

 

I got my cell phone in 8th grade and i still have it today but hardly ever use it.

 

Because being cool as an 8 year old is so important

I saw a 5 year year old with the lastest touch screen phone! WHAT THE HELL is the kid gonna do with that for crying out loud?!

I got my first phone when I was 12 (two years ago).
LG Chocolate. GREAT until the squirrels took it... the greedy baastards....

Then I got my fathers old phone. I still have it now and its okay. Though my headphones stopped working.... and the front kept falling off so I selotaped it.
But I have internet access, good music speakers, video and picture camera plus a secondary camera on the front.

I rarely use it to text or call anyways.

I think it's kinda a waste of money for kids under 10 to own them.
