Kira enjoyed the silence, but she worried if Xert might be angry or upset. "You....okay?" she asked.

 

"Yeah just a little paniced thats all," Nox said breathing deeply.

 

"Oh." Kira watched him. "It'll be okay." she murmured, taking his hand.

 

Nox took it, "we could have died while in that care."

 

"But we didn't. We're okay." Kira smiled a little. "We'll be fine."

 

Nox was still a bit shakey. Nox held on to Kira, "I don't want to lose you."

 

Kira hugged Nox. "You won't lose me. I promise." She smiled.

 

"Past?" Zoey hummed to herself quietly in thought. She looked back up at Nick. "Heh, I don't remember anything... It's all blank." She tilted slightly, catching onto another wind currant. She looked behind her. They weren't being followed... Maybe they gave up for a while.

Nox held Kira tightly. He didn't want to let go. And if he could he would never let go.

Kira hugged him back. She liked this secure,safe feeling. "I love you." She suddenly blurted out.

 

Nox was surprized. And unsure what to say he cared deeply about Kira but like every person you love it's hard to say 'I love you' the first time.

 

Kira blushed, then turned away. "You don't have to say anything, if you don't want to." She stopped, gasping, then crumpled to the ground.

 

"Kira!" Nox yelled as she fell. Nox droped to his knees and came to her side.

 

"My....side..." she gasped, pressing her hand against it. "I think I got hit."

 

Nox held Kira close to him, "nothing we can do but wait it out."

BIC: Kira nodded, keeping her hand pressed against her side. She leaned against Nox, her face pale. "Why does this keep happening?" she asked.

 

"I don't know," Nox said sadly. He knew why he hadn't checked in with the school.
