Kira nodded, listening to Nox's heartbeat. "Do you ever...wish you were normal?" she asked.

"Some times but it's pointless to think about or else we'll hate what we are," Nox said looking up at the clining.

 

Kira nodded. "My mom gave me up." she said, conversationally. "She need money."

 

"I don't know how I got in," Nox said, "wish I did."

 

Kira nodded, then sat up. "Did you hear that?" she whispered.

"It's just the TV or a rat," Nox said.

 

"Are you sure?" she got up slowly, going over to the window.

 

Abby was staring up at the ceiling with her eyes half way closed. She tried to move, but her body screamed at her that she had enough of this and wouldn't budge.

Zoey kept on fighting, summoning metal objects and smacking the Flyboys to keep them at bay. "Get out of here guys! I'll hold 'em off!"

 

Alexa gently held Abby's head up. "Nick, can you carry her out of here?" she asked, gently holding the girl.

 

Nox wraped his arms around Kira, "it's nothing I promise."

 

Kira slowly nodded, placing a hand on his chest. "Okay........what do you do for money?" she asked, trying to change the subject.

 

"Ummm well don't like to talk about it," Nox said.

 

Kira looked up at him. "I won't judge you." she promised.

 

"I rob sometimes," Nox said looking away.

 

"That's okay." Kira kissed his neck gently. "I had to sometimes too."

 

"Still doesn't make it right," Nox said.

BIC: Kira nodded. "But its how we have to survive." She watched the TV apprehensively, still feeling nervous.

 

"yeah. Come on relax," Nox said holding onto Kira.

 

Kira nodded. "I know, I just feel like...something's out there." she whispered.
