If you could learn any language, what language would it be and why?

    Italian or Japanese.

Japanese is more practical considering the mediums I follow.

Japanese. I've always been fascinated by the language and culture. I would love to go someday and if I do, like Iskandar said, it would be very helpful knowing the language.

i gotta say tho i always felt mildly guilty i never went for french or spanish; i have family who can speak those and they always seem like they wish i was studying at least one of them.

Always wanted to perfect my Spanish. Chicks dig the Spanish.

German's another one, I always liked the tone of German if that makes any sense.

lol, It's my goal to, before the end of my life, learn Japanese, Spanish, French, German, Portuguese, and ASL. XD Idk why I picked those languages, but I've wanted to learn them for years. XD I want to start with Japanese, though, because that's my favorite of the bunch, again, idk why. XD I've already started a VERY little, but had to stop because I didn't have any spending money for the $10 monthly fee of the site that was really working for me. But now that I have a job again, I'll probably start learning again soon. XD

While I' d love to be able to speak Japanese my sister tried to learn it, she told me don' t even bother. Apparently saying it' s a nightmare to learn would be quite the understatement. Besides they have so many politeness subtleties foreigners often end up speaking like ten years old girls just to make sure they won' t offend anyone.

I' d rather perfect my Spanish, I understand it decently but I have a harder time speaking it. Italian sounds cool too, but most Italians speak a little French already so whatever.

Russian and Arabic would be pretty useful, I' d love to be able to read their news.

Huh, that' s the reason I don' t want to learn it. Any and every conceivable sentence makes you sound like you' re barking at someone.
But then I' m probably a bit biased on that one, three guesses why. xD
